EV Connect
The EV Connect App uses location-based services to allow drivers to easily find, access, and securely pay for EV charging. Drivers can search for and locate electric vehicle charging stations based on location, station ID, availability, power level provided, and accessibility.
Start charge sessions simply by scanning QR codes or entering the desired station ID in the app.
With the EV Connect electric vehicle charging app, you can also:
• Monitor your current charge sessions in real-time
• Get phone notifications as soon as your EV is finished charging
• Make secure payments
• Favorite locations that have easy access to your commonly used EV charging stations
• Receive an email receipt of your EV charging transactions
• View a history of past charging sessions
• Report drivers that abuse charging station use

There were 2 available stations. I plugged in to 1 and got a message that it was charging .4-5 minutes later I got a message that it had stopped charging. I called the number for help and repeated the actions. I was then told to go to the other station. It may be working. I really won't know for a while.
So far it is great Update: Sometimes the charging network doesn't disconnect and had an idle fee, which was eventually refunded. Now I look each time if it disconnects, and sometimes it doesn't and I have to call to get it disconnected.
1st time using the app, seems pretty straight forward. Set up payment and away you go. Chargers are equivalent to Tesla destination chargers. Overall, good experience.
I used this app a few months ago with no problems. today's attempt to use the app at the same facility is a total fail. It will not allow me to input the email and password because a box pops up and says that the app requires an update. However, it is updated and appears to be ready to go, but this box pops up nonetheless and I am prevented from using the charging station. Totally frustrating.
It's awesome! FREE and exceptionally convenient. Unfortunately, I don't own my own home...I reside in apartment bldg. And overnight charging is impossible. Therefore I'm forced to use the available charging stations. With the 2 in my area, they're becoming more and more popular everyday. However this APP great! It allows me to even be able to confirm if a connecter is available so that I'm not making a blank trip lowering my available driving range risking running out FULLY! I SUGGEST THIS A
Easy and very affordable DC charging . Setting up the app was super easy. At the station plug into my car, then just two clicks on the app and it starts the charge to my car. Very impressed. The rate ($0.30/kWh) is very reasonable. In 1/2 hour I have added 50%-60% charge to my SL Leaf battery. Better than 120V charge stations that are $3.00/ hour and lucky to get 15% charge on them. This app is awful but, necessary for charging. Sema, chargepoint and evgo work great!
Works great for charging but occasionally locks up on the splash screen. Usually not a problem to kill and restart the app, but when you're standing at the charger gloves-off in sub-freezing temps it's not the best UX. I'd much prefer to be able to activate the charger from inside the car before getting out and plugging in.
Some of the stations outside vicinity of NYC do not work well. However in western new York state I've had zero problems activating charging sessions
App connects pretty well but it has such a decieving and wrong experience. As soon as the app starts and the connection is complete it keeps on sending notifications alternatively Charging started and then Charging Stopped and it keeps doing so as long as we are in a Charging session for no reason every 30 secs or so.... Also for some reason I have to go through the payment flow and check the conditions box every time I start the session.... Please fix the notifications it is so annoying
This app and this company are a total FAIL. The app did not work - hung up during account setup. No answer on 3 calls to customer service. On 4th call, agent was helpful but said station showed as unavailable on her computer - even though the station displayed a green (available) light. she told me to load the new "EV Connect 2" app, which did not exist in Play Store. TOTAL DISASTER!! I will have to find a fast charger in the morning to enable me to drive back to Los Angeles (140 miles).
Some of these issues are probably due to back end issues, or chargers not communicating to the back end; but charge sessions often fall to start, fail to terminate when unplugged, or give other inaccurate info about status. Based on my experience at work chargers (which thankfully I don't pay for); I will avoid EV Connect chargers on my travels. (Thank you Tesla Superchargers for showing how charging ought to work. Plug in. Charge.) Also phone confirmation code never arrives. (App version 3.2.1)
Not optimal but it gets the job done. Would be nice to be able to save payment methods and just select charge. Also in order to get a fob, you have to pay $7? Every other membership I have for charging just sends you a free fob when you add your billing address. I use this app only because it is required for the chargers at my office, and prefer ChargePoint when available.
This app works but it lacks the features that other EV charging apps have. ChargePoint has the ability to use NFC. This app makes you scan a QR code or key in a charger number. Sometimes, you need to be authorized by the station owner to use a charger but this app doesn't let you know this until you're in the parking lot, ready to go. Once you're authorized, the process to begin charging is also cumbersome.
Over priced. Only charges at 3.1 to 3.2 kWh. App fails alot..

Super easy to use.
This particular station is slower than most stations around town. Most level 2 stations will give you 20 to 22 miles an hour added. This station gives you 4 miles maybe, in an hour. I'm only using it because I dropped my mom off to church and I have an hour to burn. ***Edit*** I was pleasantly surprised after using the station today. I'm not sure if there's been upgrades but the car charged fast. I switch my rating from 2 stars to 5.
The app seems to be ok. 1st time use at a station with 2 plugs, one didn't work and the other one gave false info until it finally started on it's own. Even though I got a text saying it stopped. Not as user friendly as other EV apps.
Would be nice if we could add the serial numbers of any RFID card to our account. We're on EV charging card overload. I have to keep a special wallet in my car. Maybe the app could read any RFID and automatically add it to the list, like my metro card, work RFID, or my EVGo card. just saying. I'm uncomfortable needing to always have my phone working when I need to charge.
They bug from below is resolved, now the app crashes after the Dec16 update. ___________ Can you just adhere to the settings I choose, please? I have un-selected push notifications at least 5 times on my Samsung S 10e. Yet every time I plug in, or it stops charging, or disconnects here is a notification on my phone.... Fix this bug!
After an update a few weeks ago, you can't start a session after plugging in. It says the station is occupied. This is extremely inconvenient. You end up having to stand outside waiting for the session to start before plugging in.
The app has worked great. The only issue I've had is when stations do not have number one number two listed and so when you're trying to select one you never know which one is correct.
Works fine. The only problems I've had are with the chargers themselves not working. But customer service has been great, and the chargers eventually got fixed. I haven't used a paid charger, so I can't speak to payment functions.
For the last 5 or 6 charges I've needed to do, going back now than a month, the app just crashes when I try to start a charge. I have to call support every single time I want to charge and I'm getting really tired of it.
Just started using the app. So far i can't complain. The chargers are always available.
Plug is stuck in my car. Rep unable/unwilling to assist by sending a rep out to my location to assist. Unit is in disrepair.
Easy and works perfect. Please keep guest mode as I don't like logging into things. Charges my car so so fast.
