The app is very slow, difficult to navigate, and lacked options like apps for Delta/ United. It seems to have been created at an era where mobile apps were a mimic of desktop apps. The check in process, change seats process was so slow. It took me 15 minutes. I love flying with EVA and I am looking forward to the mobile app being as great as the flights I've had with them.

Since the last update the single most important feature My Trip/Check in, which lets you check your upcoming trips and do mobile check-in stopped working. So the app is now just useless. Also, when it used to work, if you get a mobile boarding pass before a gate was assigned for your flight, the gate would be left blank even after a gate became available later. And it doesn't seem there's a way to refresh the data. I have not tried too many airline apps, but this is for sure the least useful one.

Useless app with terrible UX. Doesn't save your trips, which means you always need to enter booking code and last name. It's an absolute disgrace, as it's terrible inefficient to have to enter these details, every single time you want to check your reservation. Clunky interface, with small number of functions. Booking flights works well, and maybe the only useful thing the app does. I suggest EVA Air to look at Singapore Airlines app. Next, look at Lufthansa app, to understand how to do it.

Wouldn't open at all, just stayed stuck on the opening image with a green "refresh" symbol in the middle. Couldn't get it to respond in any way, even after restarting my phone and reinstalling the app Edit: finally after restarting the app a dozen or so more times it started to work. A little slow and glitchy however, keeps getting stuck and I have to force close it and reopen

Just okay. It's fine for booking or checking on flight status or managing trips but the app is very difficult to get into. I use a long password of random characters for security stored in a password manager. The EVA app does not interact with the PW manager nor does it use the default interface for entry. This means I can't even paste the PW in and must type it using EVA's non-standard keyboard. This also means I only use the app when I have no other way to contact EVA. Please fix this.

Just some advice if your system is going to force a password change you should allow the old password to actually log on to the account first. That way users can still check their email and other information to make sure it's correct. That's the way that most banks and other systems that use logic do it. Otherwise you're just creating a reason for people to flood calls to the call center.

Due to covid, unable to travel, so my family 3 gold card members' mileages got expired. Lost 20k hard earned mileage for each of us. I will use United frequent flight program to earn miles in the future, because never expired.

Stupid login system, just use the default keyboard instead of creating your own keyboard, autofill doesnt work and I am not able to paste in my password. I have a 30 character random generated password. I also can't type it because as soon as I enter a special character the password field gets cleared. So no login for me if I use a secure password! And also random Chinese popup messages even though my app is in english. Go get yourself some developers that know something about user experience.

App doesn't remember your reservation, sorta. You have to keep re-entering your info to view the itinerary. But it does notify you of changes, (viewed in the app.) It notified me that my luggage was loaded onto the aircraft. It did not give me bag claim number however.

Can't even login. The app opens up its own proprietary keyboard; it doesn't use the stock android keyboard, and I can't copy-paste my password into it either. I use Lastpass and my password is the maximum length possible with a random mix of characters that's a pain to type in one by one. Other parts of the app (sign up, find a flight, etc) use the stock Android keyboard just fine. Why is the login screen different.

They require their own terrible keyboard in the app and I cannot log in anymore. I tried the email that is registered and that didn't work, and the forget membership link says I am not in the system. When I re register with the exact same information, it says I am already registered. Which is it?? Eva needs to get their IT in order Tried calling the number they provided. Got stuck at a "please provide your fax number" robot. Great job.

Stuck at openings. Not usable at all. Edit: after reinstalling the app, now it works fine. However I suggest to check the starting tutorial because it changes slowly after touching the options. I modified the evaluation

app is very hard to use. can be used to book a flight but that us about it. managing a flight has no options. they demand you to login again over every new ticket you purchase. if you book a ticket for someone else and search it here.. nothing will show. no means to change flight details or luggages. you will need to go to the main office to get anything done. so archaic. oh, if you book a ticket for someone else, you will neednto keep them company at checkin just to show your card. dumb

App worked well when I first downloaded it in August. Today as I went to open the app, it was stuck on the homescreen. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it to no avail. Please fix it as this is very annoying.

With this current version of the EVA Air app, I can't even log into my account. This app loads its own keyboard and won't allow certain special characters to be entered that are a part of my password. And the characters on its own keyboard are scrambled on my Galaxy S9.

Horrible App....if I could give a lower score I would have. They could have looked at other airlines for direction in developing this app. It's slow, not convenient, lacks any flow or access of data.

Doesn't remember my trips. Each time I open the app I have to enter my booking ref and other details. I have several trips booked currently with EVA air, entered details for each but it was all gone next time I looked. I don't see the point of this app, will go back to CheckMyTrip

I bought a new phone. Downloaded the app and tried to login with my member number and password. It kept asking me for the verification code. I searched all over EVA website, my profile, and on Google, and still couldn't find anything about the verification code. I have never experienced any travel/airline app as bad as this....

Why is app not opening. Just stay spooling? There's reviews complaining of issues with this app and your answers has been - this issue is fixed!! Obviously not! Try using it and you will find the problems. Going to uninstall, can't even use it. The staff involved in the development of this app just need to test it and you will find the flaws. I am using Samsung S8 Android. Don't bother asking people to email and send snapshots. Do your job and troubleshoot otherwise delete this app!!!

decent app, however after several updates where your not able to choose your seat via app. must go to the website(this should be revised and put back in the app). and at least 6 times now where i load the app and it doesnt let you use it unless you update the app is pretty redicioulous. Major flaws in my opinion. It really could be more user friendly. sad to say the app was better many versions ago

A virtually worthless app. Continues to show error for given name suggesting characters have been used. They haven't been and even when only a surname is used the same error is displayed. Other airlines apps work just fine.

I look at my mileage statement for over a month. I see miles that have not been used and eva tell me they are used. Well, why are they shown on my statement? A month! I am confused and worry I will lose miles that are already used. This part of your web site is really bad. I've been with you over 10 years. Good company and service. I'm saddened.

Great app. Very organized and easy to navigate through the app. I've travelled with Eva Air for 15 years. I feel right a home and client service on all flights to Taipei and to Viet-Nam, professionalism at it's best. You all deserve a pat on the back.

Whenever I try to check in I get 'network unstable' on WiFi and 4G. Same result with seperate devices. Online check requires me to print my boarding pass but this is not possible for me to do when check in only opens 24 hours before my flight on a weekend. Terrible service.

****THIS APP DOES NOT WORK**** This app is absolutely ridiculous I can check in online and they could simply let me download a pdf but the person who came up with this idea is a slow witted dullard. plus I am writing this about 20 minutes after using this "brilliant app" to check in but I still have not received any boarding pass. I have bombarded with about 5 notifications by this ground breaking app. in short "DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. IT DOESNT WORK."
