The app doesn't work when you need it most, when trees and wires are down everywhere, you have no power (and therefore no water, phone, or internet) and you can't get out. We couldn't even report our outage for two days because the app didn't work. Power was out for 4 days; phone, cable, and internet for 6 days. You want to know when power will come back, and Eversource just says "evaluating" for 4 days, until the power suddenly comes back on. Thanks, overpriced monopoly Eversource.
Horrible! Tried numerous times to update the app to no avail. Tried uninstalling, rebooting phone, then fresh install. Did this several times and none worked. The app is now totally non-functional. It worked before this latest so-called update. Very disappointed.
The app is a glorified browser. The app actually loads the website, and you can't do anything useful on this app that you couldn't do on the website. I've been trying to report an outage but it keeps erring out on both the app and website giving the same message. Don't waste your time with this app it'll drive you crazy just like the website does.
wish I could pay all bills and see the total like on desktop instead of having to switch between accounts. also, the app randomly pops back up on the log in screen and interrupts whatever I've been doing maybe 5 minutes after closing it. presumably because I've timed out and been logged off?
On logging into app it claims that I have no linked account, and to link one using the web site. Of course, when I log into the web site, I absolutely have my electric account linked. End of options. I'd rate one star except that it is still useful to report/check outages without logging in,
The app is nice. Please consider adding in a small section similar to the website when you have payments pending on your bills. It's nice to log in and verify payments are pending. Otherwise good app. Works great with fingerprint unlock.
So this app is now in a terrible loop where it says that I have a new update and asks me to go to the Google play store and download the updated version but when I get there, I see no update button and it just opens the current one that re-asks me to update it. I have even Uninstalled it and re-installed it but it's still stuck in a loop.
Extremely poor experience encouraging update then putting in an endless loop between app store and app. Uninstalled, reinstalled and still get in endless loop with every time you access app it saying you need to update and sending you back to app store. Was this even tested before releasing to public?
I love the app.. but I just went in to the app and it states Needs an update, hit the update and brings me to playstore and hit open. Goes back to Eversource... Needs an update and stuck in a loop. Can't do anything at all. Eversource corporate Needs to fix this. I can't do anything because i am stuck in a darn loop. I am sure others are having this issue as well.
This app was completely useless. It was totally non functional as a way of paying bills. I could not even log on, no matter what I tried. It did not recognize my user name, or my TEN DIGIT account number (it kept asking me for 11 digits), or my email address, or my phone number, even though the Columbia Gas website works just fine and DID recognize my personal info. Dont waste your time with this piece of garbage of a phone app.
I was wary of an upgrade, since that usually means, harder to use. Sure enough, that's what this is. I use a debit card, and the snobs here didn't allow for that on the previous app. Same thing, here. I have to call, and use their automated system. This 'upgrade', only did that worse. Why go to all that trouble, to grind some people into the dirt? 'Eversource' took over from another company (can't remember it's name). That business was nice, and was simpler. Unfortunate.
This isn't only about the app but eversource in general, I was informed that for some reason I need to reset my password. So I clicked on reset password and it said an email would be sent. NO EMAIL WAS SENT!!!!! I tried this a couple of times. Still no email! So I tried the " contact us " option and I cannot get ahold of anyone. Only Monday thru Friday. WHAT THE HELL?!?!? I need to pay my bill!!!! VERY CRAPPY COUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! things happen over the weekends too people!!!
This is app is trash. I constantly have to scrap it and just go to the website. Also, it doesnt work during certain hours. I wish Eversource tested all the bugs before releasing it.
waste of time installing. not functional. you can view a mini image of invoices but if you try to enlarge them to read detail they are not readable. who ever designed this app must be into self congrats instead of caring for the customer
When you download an app from the store, it should be up to date. It always comes up to date from everyone BUT the electric company. This just goes to show how INCONSIDERATE this company is of it's clients. I just spent a month ALONE in my house with ALL the lights and TV's OFF and got the biggest bill in over 70 years!!! Please explain that one??? It is almost two times last years bill when there were 3 people here with 4 A/C's, 2 or 3 TV's, a lot of wash, & a sewerage pump frequently running!!
App is good, wish it had the usage chart that you had before on paper bills showing what percentage of electricity is used for cooking, laundry, etc. Please bring that to the app. Also, lower you delivery rates!!!! They're ridiculous!
Have no intention of paying for my electricity until they reimburse me for all the lost food. They went directly against ct orders and were not prepared for the storm last month. They also sent a text saying they were working on our lines and they would be fixed, then that they were fixed, yet they were not. They also left a dangerous wire in the middle of the street for 2 DAYS. If its your only option i understand, though if they didnt have a monopoly they would probably have no customers.
I can't open the app. It just tells me to get the update. I tried. I even uninstalled it, and then reinstalled it. Still won't work! I have been using this app for years without problems until now!
Looks good, navigation is easy. Statement viewing is okay until you try to zoom in, then the statement get very blurry & unreadable.
Good app, keeps us up to date on outages. Bill compare and usage could be much better. An AI feature on future use based on useable, rate increases, renewables, etc.
The thing I most want to be able to see is how much credit is on the account. We like to pay ahead but not being about to see a clear balance is inconvenient.
Great app! Finally I can have all the information I need without having to navigate the website on my phone. I wish that there was an option for push notifications when my bill is ready, but hopefully that comes to the app soon!
My elderly friend really did get a representative to come out there and check out his energy costing appliance that was being a pain in his butt. He offered them all free solar. I really like this app it's very easy to pay my utility bill with, it's great.
App is unusable with newest 2.0.1 update. Alert dialog displays over login screen, informing me I have to update to a newer version to use the app. I'm on the latest version 2.0.1 version, and there is no update.
App worked fine for an entire year on the same phone. Open app today 6/2/21, and tells me to update. I update app and now it doesn't work at all. Endless loop of telling me to update. Hosers!
No place to change your password, you need to go to the website to do it. On the website, you can't paste a password into the new password/confirm place. This makes using a password manager impossible. Otherwise, its Ok.
Calls for update but won't update. Unable to use it now. Uninstalled and reinstalled - still gives me the "get update" message that blocks screen and won't go away.
Notification, newer version, get update, goes back to app with options open or uninstall, pick open and it goes back to notification, and starts all over the same cycle with notification...., cannot open app
Does what i need it to but fingerprint signin is too sensitive. If you get a bad/dirty scan it forces password signin instead of retrying. Maybe allow like 2 or 3 fingerprint signin attempts before reverting to password?
This app is completely useless when there's an ACTUAL problem (power outage) and you're trying to report an outage or get an update on when power will be restored. Then all the app does is timeout or is unable to look up your account information. What good is that!?
