Bible app ad after reading opening credits that can't be gotten out of to return to the game. Ridiculous. Uninstalling.
Love it and I always felt included thanks to the ability to choose gender/sexuality. It makes everything 1,000,000 times better!
Loved it. Absolutely loved it. As I've seen others say, it is a bit on the shorter side, but the story, characters and unique gameplay more than make up for it. The 2 RO's are brilliant; quite different to each other yet both very well done. Also, despite it's shortish length, there is a lot of replay value to get different endings and trying to get every clue and achievement. One of the best CYOA books I've read.
I am very picky when it comes to text-based, decision making games because it's challenging to find the right balance of plot, emotion, language use and all the while being unbiased towards a certain path. This story and its author exceeded my expectations. There's just the near-perfect balance right here. I'd give this ten stars if I could.
My first text rpg! Was able to fully immerse myself in the story, and actually cared about the choices I made. The Stats page is well made, and includes key notes as well as relationship progress with the NPCs. I've replayed the story several times with different characters, and each experience felt unique and rewarding. Truly worth a try!
A fantastic story and a great interactive game! I loved discovering different dialogue options and finding out different ways to approach the 'mystery' that is the inn. I definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking to get into the 'Choose you're own adventure/story' genre.
I loved reading this. It was a bit shorter than I thought it would be although that definitely did not take away from experience, quality over quantity was definitely apparent. The choices were fun, the story was original, and the characters were well written.
A very well-rounded and engaging story, complex multiple-choice system, definitely not a quick and basic CYOA! Great job by the author and no glitches in the system that i found at all! I'll be watching for more! I'm new to writing interactive narratives, maybe i can learn something here :)
One of the best books i read on hosted game. The storyplot is really captiviting. It get you glued for any kind of clues. Mystery and the lore was carefully and beautifully constructed. Love the interaction between MC with RO and other supporting characters. The dialog was interesting and the humors seemed fresh. Pretty much replaybility values with all the customization. Overall an insteresting series to keep an eye for. Recommended
I've played through several times, to get th achievements, and every time I love the game more and more. Very fun creating the character from scratch with different races and more. I will always recommend this to friends.
Out of all the games I've played by CoG etc, this is the greatest, most beautiful and most heartwrenching piece of art they've ever released. I was reluctant to play Evertree after my amazing experience with Creme de la Crème. How silly I was... Magnificence at its finest.
Great for 1 night of entertainment. I thoroughly enjoyed the character interactions, and the creation of your own character through choices. I don't really feel like it's that big of a game, and it's not a morphing story, which in my honest opinion would make it even more awesome. Once you find out the mystery it doesn't really deviate from that. I was hoping for a little more content, but it was very fun and exciting, and I did really like being able to alter the ending.
Was skeptical when realised only the first three chapters are free but my gosh one chapter in and I knew I had to purchase this. No regrets, extremely engaging and suspenseful, looking forward to playing over and over to experience different paths and endings and learn about the other guests at the inn
short and sweet! i've read a lot of gamebooks recently and none have made me wanna leave a review like this one. well-written, fun gameplay, good characters and a great climactic ending! it's like a short story in one of the early Witcher books. good stuff.
This app is absolutely amazing! The story is immersing, with complex storytelling and well fleshed-out characters that simply come to life! I love the great attention to detail that was put into this, as well as having the freedom to choose our species, gender identity and sexuality. Keep up the good work!
I'm just about to hit the third chapter, which afterwards will cost money. For a purely text based game that explores one single night, the price should be half of what it is. I understand, these things take time to make. However, most people would prefer to spend this price on something with graphics, or at least some music. That being said, I genuinely had a blast with the free part of this, it's really great. Unfortunately won't be purchasing until the price goes down at least a little bit.
Not bad at all. Got this ages ago but only recently had the chance give to it my full attention and actually finish the story to its conclusion. Intriguing characters, and supernatural mystery that has a mild D&D flavour, and is a cross between mini rpg and a whodonit. It's a tad shorter than expected and I was so disappointed the Half-Orc wasn't a RO! but fingers crossed for the 3rd installment. Decent effort. Sordwin was ok but not as good.
Playing Evertree Inn actually felt like real role-playing. After I got rid of the "what's the correct option" mindset that is. It's a rather short game but I did play it through several times using different characters.
TWO WORDS: *FUDGING FANTABULOUS* I know the sequel recently came out (WHICH I LOVE AS WELL), and I'm telling you I waited sooooo long for that sequel -not entirely sure if it was actually coming out or not- that I forgot all about this game entirely😂. Just re-read it (a few times over actually). The characters are dynamic, the plots twisted and well thought out, the mystery, intrigue, that touch of realism mixed with fantasy, like I said *FUDGING FANTABULOUS* worth the money, GO GET IT NOW!
The descriptive language really got my brain working, I could visualize every second. I love this game and have exhausted every single path to take in the story, and I am never bored with it. I can't wait until I can play Sordwin, the sequel!
Beginning and ending both good, but middle could be improved. (No specifics to avoid spoilers.) Might be interesting to try how various character types work in replays.
