EveryDollar: Budgeting

Edit: New update is suuuuper buggy. Balances and remainders aren't populating properly. Once the bugs are fixed hopefully the updates will be nice. An awesome option on the Spent page would be just a check box that subtracts the total amount from that category. Quick and easy for auto payments and cash withdrawals. Being more of a free spirit, this would help immensely! Being able to specify an income as irregular and then list priority budget items for that income would also be helpful.

I think it is a neat app. I love the idea... Don't want premium because I don't like linking my bank accounts. It takes a little while to get used to, the budget wizard is hard, when I got to the full app, it was easy to budget. I did the reset budget to erase the wizards work. The reset budget scares me. Maybe a click, password, to delete a budget... It's a lot of work for a budget to lose it all.

frustrating...I would like the ability to customize the budgeting portion of the app. I wish the app/program allowed for budgeting by paycheck. You can make it work, but it takes extra work to do it that way. I also don't like how the debt section works. You have to enter your debts in another app.

We used DR budget sheets previously, and while it worked well for my wife, I needed something interactive. This is great! The + features are awesome (pulling in transactions from your bank, so you don't need to cross-reference your bank statements to 'tracked' expenses) but not necessary once you get the feel for it. Love that it's easy to "map" to the paper sheets, so my partner can manipulate late way she's used to. This allowed my to budget for the first time alone, in 35yrs!

I've been using EveryDollar since 2017 and it's been awesome. It has a great UI and is simple to use and has improved my budgeting tremendously over the years. I really appreciate that I can use the free version and add my transactions manually rather than having to log into all my accounts and give another company access. One request I'd really appreciate - the ability to set recurring transactions in the free version, please. As of right now, I have to spend time each month adding in my monthly or yearly transactions and it'd be a real time saver to just be able to set these up to repeat every month/year/ or some number weeks!

Everydollar lets me see precisely how I am spending my money. Hubs and I started a new one about a year ago. It was a great tool for practicing a combined income budget before we got married. You can customize all budget items to match your own categories. You can view the budget by amount planned, amount spent, and amount remaining. I make most categories a fund so that unused funds carry over. I split screen w/ my bank account to enter transactions. Only downside: app can't rotate horizontal.

I've used the Ramsey+ app for many years, unfortunately I had to cancel my paid subscription due to bank disconnects and double transactions. I have contacted Ramsey Solutions but no one seems to knows what the problem is. At one point they told me it was the bank but I don't think so since people using other banks are having connection issues also. I used app for years with no problems. Whatever changed is not good.

The free version has everything you need; you get more with premium, but you don't have to pay in order for it to be usable, which is a huge plus. It's very user-friendly and customizable, with no unnecessary bells and whistles that clog up the system and make it too complicated. I took off a star b/c it tends to have trouble connecting to a network which gets it stuck on the loading page so I have to remember to come back to it later. Other than that, it works great.

Well I love Every Dollar and have been using it for the last 2 years. But this last update they don't have the exact amount at the top of the budget anymore. Very sad to see this change. Please go back to the way it was.

The debt paydown feature only works with Ramsey plus. I would like if there was a BALANCE TRACKER for your bank account without necessarily connecting your bank account. Just enter a STARTING BALANCE at the beginning of the month and at the end of the month it will show you if you increased or decreased that amount. Would be helpful to include in the free version which is very clean and well designed for the most part.

Pretty nice, simple app! 4/5 because the monthly roll over is very confusing and could be streamlined. Also, lacks an option to plan for pay periods rather than the whole month- that would be very helpful. I was paying for ynab and switched to this because it makes me enter my transactions manually, and it was much simpler to use.

I like user interface, and it's fairly intuitive once you use it for a bit. I just with I could buy the full version without buying am entire Ramsey+ subscription. I'd pay $10 no question for the full version, I feel like it goes against the whole Ramsey philosophy to make people buy a $130/year subscription when maybe all they need is the budgeting app.

Great app. I like having the ability to customize each transaction without the app automatically doing so. Some suggestions would be to enable uploading copies of receipts to individual transactions, and to provide an option to get Everydollar Premium without also paying for Ramsey Plus.

For having to pay a decent chunk of money to get the transactions pulled automatically, I'd say it's an "ok" app. The widget only works half the time. It one of those thing, I pay for this app for it's simplicity, all the other apps try to do too much. It just frustrating I have to pay to get transaction pulled for me.

I paid for premium and like linking all my accounts. I forget my receipts or a quick purchase sometimes. For the more attention to detail people, probably not needed. Yes all this can be done by a spread sheet but I like the app. Thank Ramsey team.

I love this app! It has not only guided me to financial freedom, but it has done it in an easy to understand way. The app version is a great tool even without the Ramsey+ addition. I do HIGHLY reccomend paying for the additional service of Ramsey+ because of all the additional support that you get. 100% reccomend!

I love being able to drag and drop expenses into the appropriate budgeted category. It is a great visual tool and such a convince! Definitely a wonderful resource for anyone trying to take control of their finances.

Works perfectly. We've been using it for 3 months now and does everything we need. The only improvement Id like is just staying linked to my bank account. As it stands, I have to relink every 2-4 weeks (probably a security feature of my bank and not an EveryDollar problem)

Life changing tool to give each dollar a name! My wife and I were able to combine our business and personal budget easily with all the categories and ways to split expenses. Each transaction comes directly from my bank to the app. I have never seen a tool this easy to use that allows us to fully get awareness and control of our finances.
