Pretty good app. But it's stranded - no more development or bug fixes since 2014. Find something else.
Besides the inbox any other info saved disappears. I made a list of next actions and none of them saved.
I really love this app! But what happened to the option to sync with the web-based version?
Great app just needs a general notes section.
This was the best GDT app. RIP?
Great GTD app
The app is the closest one to implement the GTD with areas goals and vision and all that implemented. I'm yet to see an app that come this faithful to the GTD system. However the developers abandoned this app and it won't receive any updates. So it's time to move on. I recommend nirvana(subscription) or chaos box (one time purchase) these two are actively maintained.
Love the app but have no need of the web based application. Unfortunately all backup options are tied in to premium offering and I refuse to pay nearly £1.50 a month just to back up my tasks to my own sdcard. Add local backup option to free version and I'll rate 5 stars.
My suggest is: add the possibility to see tags below the name of the task. You may add a qickly switch button that alllow the possibility to see 'contest' or 'tag' below the name of the task. Anyway I like it very much. P.S. Maybe you can add in Horizons the Mission menu, a such of note when user can write his mission on life, in this case remeber possibility to protect this note with a password.
This App's Interface is Simple and Strikingingly beautiful. GTD Process can be easily implemented with this app. Stability of the App is good. I have used several GTD apps. But this is easy and good. But one thing...Support is not enough. I have contacted the Support 2 times, but no reply. I have changed my device from my Note 3 to Note 4. I have renewed my subscription after a break in the renewal. Now the Syn is failing (It says " No Peer Certificate") But Backup / Restore is working.
This looks and sounds like a good app but I am not able to set up an account and log in. I want to see how it works with multiple devices and the web page. There is no way to recover a username and password. There is a contact email that no one answers. I would still like to try it. If anyone's home, please help.
I am just learning about the GTD way of doing things, and this app really seems to do the job simply. I love how a task can be turned into a project with a simple click, which means you can get thoughts out of your head, then look at the detail later with a minimum of fuss. My only reason not to use this app is because it cannot be used for reference easily, everything is a task. Also, no mention of "who" a task is connected to - you have to create tags. The ability to filter all lists by context is AWESOME
Something the matter with the date picker. When I first try to select Dec6,it sends me to the end of January. Now other dates are starting to act up and the scheduled tasks are not showing up on the selected days. Very disappointed-many things to like about this app, but a primary function being buggy is a deal breaker for me. I only have about 30 tasks in there in three projects, and after two weeks of use, it is not accurate for scheduling these. Not going to waste my time on this one.
This is still the most GTD oriented of all the task and todo and project programs I've tried. However I want to rely on the repeat tasks with start dates automatically moving to the Scheduled list, and that's broken - at least on my Droid X. Hoping there's a fix in the works!
It's simple and fast, and designed around GTD. This is the first app that pushed me to do GTD proper. Downsides are that it's missing a few features and I'm not sure I can trust it to move tasks around properly, it doesn't seem to always work. Really wishing they add Calendar sync for tasks that have due dates.
This app is really helpful. I am just thinking you should consider adding done "repeating tasks" to "Completed" and figure a way of telling a task has been missed without actually needing to delete or edit it. Also it is helpful to have an option to show all the details of a task including the notes within its outer view. Thanks!
Truly the best GTD app I have ever used. I have tried a lot of them. Clear, usable features to get things really organised without any of the pointless clutter that some other apps have (share tasks on Facebook etc). I have to give a shout out for the UI design too. It is best of breed. I'd already paid for Pro, but happy to pay a small amount each month for sync - a lot of people spend twice that every day on a coffee!
The app follows all gtd guidelines perfectly and has a beautiful interface, except for the widget. [EDIT] I was able to sync more than one device by reinstalling the app after upgrading. Even so, it is sort of annoying having to force sync on both devices to keep them updated. Nevertheless, a great app for anyone trying to follow gtd!
With the effort and thoughts given by the developers for GTD fanatics , 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Though setting the schedule of day & time s a bit buggy. You input the desired time on those dials, and when you close that window, the indicated time isn't what you inputted. There's a work around, but it complicates what is supposed to be a basic operation, and considering that this s a feature of no problem in other numerous apps. Long comment re the bug, but doesn't mean I don't highly appreciate this app. Thanks!
This app is the only one I've found that really fits the GTD method. However, it hasn't been updated in 2 years and the interface is really starting to look dated. The cloud sync is clunky and it doesn't support a lot of new things like Android Wear. I'll keep using it until I find something better, but it's definitely not the flashiest app out there. It's like a dependable 10 year old Honda. It'll get you places reliably, but you're not getting there in style or comfort.
01.08.14 EDIT: For me, this is by far the best GTD app available (and I've tried several). I don't really need 'EveryTask Web' but I've subscribed anyway purely to support the developer: I really want this app to be around for a long time. I have a LOT of project planning work stored in EveryTask and the rock solid Dropbox backup keeps my mind at ease because you just never know when you're going to lose your phone. ORIGINAL: Love the GTD approach that this app takes. It's the first time that I've seen or heard of it but the logic behind it really works very, very well for me. It's already making a noticeable difference in my life by helping me to capture and organise my thoughts / tasks / ideas / goals in a very practical way. The app itself is beautiful, with very smooth and stylish design. One question: how is EveryTask not massively popular yet?!
This app REALLY helps organise things. It is FAR better than its competitors. It is easy to link goals with projects and projects with actions; and you see those links all the time. You can also assign priorities, tags and do other nice stuff. The only thing I'd add is task/project progress indication. To wrap up, a big THANK YOU to the developers!
This is a fantastic app. I'm a task app junkie and this one has kept me from trying others out. It just works so well I don't need to. You can use it for a stripped down version of GTD that is a little more than just a "todo" list, or you can go all the way from "Runway" to "30,000 feet!" Thanks again. Upgrade to the pro edition so you can back up. It's worth supporting the developer. Just started subscribing and it is great. Worth the cost. Thanks!
I tried many gtd apps and this is my favourite. I had a few issues in syncing though, hence the 4 out of 5. EDIT: Chaos Control paid version its now my top choice, though not as GTD faithful as EveryTask, provides export to calendar, placing of next actions into a dynamic calendar line (provides automated todo list for every day), and one-time payment for backup feature (instead of 24$ every year here!!)
This was a great app to keep a ton of different tasks organized, and I signed up for the subscription service. However, on my new phone I can't restore from my Dropbox backup. I have many repeat tasks and the chore of re-entering them all is daunting. Why am I paying for this when it won't back up or sinc, and my bug reports have not been answered? If there isn't a fix soon I'll be canceling my account, unfortunately.
Lots to like. But: cannot get any response from developer. I have a sync error , I've tried every way that I can to get a hold of the developer, but there is no response. 1. Where is there a forum to discuss? 2. I get sync error when I try to sync with cloud. How can I contact developer? 3. Is there a way to export to a csv delimited file? 4. Oddly if you use speech to text to put a word in the filter, the program will not filter. But if you type it out using the keypad , it does filter.
I wish scheduled tasks would roll over to Next actions when their start dates arrive. Otherwise, I have no issues with this app. Excellent UI and functionality. just please please implement this one change and you'll have a five star from me.
Too many features are not fully implemented for a paid app. For example, Goals & Vision are not connected to anything; project status doesn't change task visibility; no Help, getting started, FAQ. Right now I'm unable to login to web app, so reliability is a concern. There's potential here for a great app. I'll check back in 6 months.
EveryTask.io gives a 404 error, so there is no web sync which is the main feature of the paid subscription, nor any explanation of what's happening with it or if it's coming back.
