I have a few issues with the app. First, it takes several minutes for calls to show in the call log so if I miss one I can't immediately return it. Second, if I'm making consecutive calls I usually have to close the app and reopen it or it won't dial. There is also a noticeable delay on the line which is frustrating.
Overall eVoice is a good service, but the application is beyond pathetic. The app doesn't give any notifications of phone messages or text messages even though I have it configured to do so. The only work around is to try and remember to go in the app multiple times daily to check for messages. Their tech support could care less about helping. They kept just wanting to close the ticket rather than helping and answering my questions
Owning a business is hard enough, having this app makes it impossible. I use eVoice - have it as my primary number - thought I could simplify a few things with using the app. Every. Single. Click. Of. A. Button. Would. Take. Forever. To. Load. Trying to call out took forever, and lets not forget that NOW my phone disconnects 10 seconds after I answer it. There are major, MAJOR issues with this app. If it was one of those silly games, I could possibly understand. But from a national network?
Not a bad app for the price of the internet service, but limited on some expectation of phone services. No caller ID available that shows the name of business as opposed to just the 800#. No flexibility for either using the caller ID or 800 that is shown for our outbound calls. Takes a while for professional voice choice to catch on that it has been chosen. Keeps going back to default or prior choice of voice greeting. And lastly, support service is almost non existent.
We have been using eVoice for a number of years and we are very pleased with the system. We are a remote business and have different extentions for each department. Everyone is able to get their calls and messages. We use it for voice and fax, eVoice has never let us down. We are very satisfy with our choice.
I have been using eVoive for about 2 years and it has been great. For some reason lately it hasn't allowed sign-in. I struggle with it, looked for upgrade info (there is no upgrade). It's possibly due to system upgrades on Android that are causing issues. Fixing it soon? I hope.
No Notifications No notifications of any kind App has not been updated in two years??? Called customer service and was told that the workaround was for them to send a separate message to my phone when I had a notification or to call my phone manufacturer I've had evoice for a few years but l think I may need to look for another service provider.
After installing, I get a message that the app was built for an older version of Android, and it crashes upon attempting to log in. I am using Android version 10. However, it is a OnePlus that uses their proprietary build - Oxygen OS 10.5.11. IN21AA. Nevertheless, it is frustrating that the app cannot handle whatever types of Android builds are out there for high-end phones, especially since eVoice is raising prices.
the app is the worst. u have to be logged in to receive messages or you wont recieve them or even be notified that u got a message. I tried leaving it open to recieve notifications and it logs you out after awhile. messages dont always go through when you try to respond and if they do go through there is a delay and even then the message may not go through. even the calls have a delay. good idea bad execution.terrible customer service. you'd do better getting a free google voice number. RUN!!!!
Everytime I try to login the sign in button does not work nor can I even press anything. I literally have to close the app or restart my entire phone and open the app again for it to work. It is really annoying as I depend on this for my business. Also, I do not like the fact that it does not allow you to stay logged in until you choose to sign out. This is used for business, so why do I constantly have to have the app open for it to work? Fix these issues and I will give 5 stars
Works great on iPhone but on Android no notification when message is received. 10/24/20 as an update we've been using invoice since August 1st and it works very well and our clients like the service the clarity and invoice answers within one ring which is great... Invoice needs to update when it's an Android on the text side that we're able to see more of the text message on smartphone.
They flagged my account 1st for too much texting in a hour. And then closed my account for too many outbound calls. It gives an error for the relay number. And customer service has horrible wait times. At least an hour hold time. In addition to the recent all log takes 5 - 10 mins to show the last outbound/inbound call.
The service obviously works because I receive a million spam calls a day. I've reached out to customer service and they slowly responded to me just block the numbers. Every single number every single time? All day long?? No. That's not an acceptable workaround for a person busy handling business. When I emailed support about refunding and canceling, they again, slowly responded telling me to just cancel. They didn't address the refund request at all. Beyond irritating.
A reliable service and cost effective. Routes to other extensions, leaves message and I love the business texting feature. More professional than using your personal phone. It's worth it. Sure there could be improvements forthcoming but overall I give it a 5.
For those who just upgraded new phones and cannot log in like I did, try typing in your login in a text or wherever, cut and then paste. Do the same for password. Then login. I tried after almost getting frustrated and it worked. Don't forget to click on remember me otherwise you'll have to do it all over again. Cheers!
Billing After Free Trial Problematic!!! As great as the service itself is, you negate that PLUS when you offer a "free thirty day trial" and cancelling becomes a nightmare. Namely, it requires calling and/or emailing the business to ask for confirmation that your cc will not be charged, but were told you would receive an email confirmation(and DO NOT)--that imho makes a service untrustworthy with your credit card information. It's no secret that companies have been known to make unsubscribing and/or cancelling a subscription to their service arduous ON PURPOSE. So that the Consumer is repeatedly billed, before they are successful at cancelling their service. No different then the ol' bait and switch imo. At best, it's a deceptive business practice. There is no reason it should take less then the time it takes for you to type in your cc info to sign up for a free trial, then a 15+ minute online chat, and a follow up email to confirm that your free trial has ended and you will not incur a charge because it was done prior to that deadline to cancel a monthly subscription. Personally, I don't like doing business period with companies, or services that make cancelling billing difficult. There is no reason why confirmation that a service was cancelled, thus, a recurring billing cycle should not be immediate. With that being said, CONSUMER BEWARE!!! Also, you are not given an option to cancel through their website, nor remove your credit card information. You must call and/or chat with a Representative to do that. That too, is problematic, for me.
takes way to long to update call log call send buttons do NOT work reliably Updated a year later: same! Worse actually, now ads pop in because of the mobile app and their website ad plays loudly each time you open it! Sometimes even at random with the site being open on a different tab. So annoying and UNPROFESSIONAL.
I've asked my employer to terminate this service. Notifications don't work. Messages won't play. I have to close and reopen this app at least 30 times a day to achieve minimal functionality. Last update from 2018 shows the neglect this app recieves.
extremely buggy. sometimes it opens other times doesn't, txt in disorder, sometimes impossible to login, sometimes unable to load messages, sometimes calls don't work at all, sometimes crashes, but is really inexpensive.
Updates poorly from call to call, now we are getting tons of pop up ads that even play music through the middle of your phone call. Not exactly professional when you're trying to use this app for a business line!
I am so unhappy with the service!! I definitely don't recommend it. I've missed important phone calls and text messages causing me to lose out on jobs. Then I call customer service to tell them the problem. They tell me my phone is working fine and they don't see a problem. Then the same thing happens again. I'm so disappointed with this service. I'm canceling them. Find another provider
Seriously, 2+ years since this app has had an update?! Text notifications do not work on Android. I've tried it on several phones. Going to look for a new service.
I have used this app and service for several years. No glitches. ever. Great service. Great price. The savings in time and money from traditional land line or phone service have been extraordinary.
The app works, but it's painfully slow. The pages load slowly, refresh slowly, and transition slowly when a call or text needs to be made.
No notification! I have used this service for about 7 years. The app once worked amazingly now it lacks all notification. There needs to be something done about it. Hopefully I find a way to take my existing business number elsewhere.
Works well enough. For the price call blocking on the app should be a no brainer. I have suggested this multiple times and have been ignored. I use this app for a small business and conveniently blocking spam is important.
The service has a good rate. I did not give them a 5 because often when I try ro open the app to make a call it either does not open or I have to hot the button several times before it opens.
We have been missing all calls. The system says, "all party are busy" when we're not. All calls have been forwarded to the voice mail and we fail to have real time connection with prospects.
this app constantly freezes every time i open it amd im forced to close and reopen it and it freezes every time i want to make a call from the app. it makes me want to switch services!
Terrible. Touch the screen and it takes 5 minutes to react. Makes the entire app useless. I like the desktop version a lot better, but even that has left a lot to be desired. Someone needs to go through the API and make it user friendly on both the app and desktop. They assume we know how to operate a phone system. Something as simple as "Auto Attendant" should be renamed to something everyone can understand. Extensions and Users and Attendants and Voice Mails and Numbers and Routing.. A mess
