The app is pretty good. Especially since they updated their online banking. One thing that was mildly annoying was that I couldn't make a payment to my loan through EB theough the app. I had to call and have them add the loan to my online banking. I jad already set up a mobthly automatic payment but it seemed like being able to make a payment to your loan when you have an EB checking and savings acct would be included without needing to call. But overall no complaints.
The previous Exchange App was significantly easier to use. Additionally, the most recent upgrade changed some of the account numbers on my bill pay accounts. Seriously took me 3 hours to fix Comcast because after 7 months suddenly my payment was sent to an old account number. I almost changed banks over this app but ultimately I don't have the energy.
Mobile deposit doesn't work on Android, or at least on Pixles, because there's no shutter button and the app doesnt recognize external shutters or things like volume keys being set to shutters, even though the camera app on this phone does. This means you can't take photos of your checks. Clearly a programming error, please fix.
Noticabley better than it was when I left my last review, it actually auto fills your login info correctly now and has been updated to include the features you'd expect from a service like this. That being said it could definitely use a complete visual overhaul. The UI, visually, is still quite outdated
First let me say Exchange Bank is amazing. They have the best service of any business I've ever seen and are a major comunity contributer. The old app was great but I'm bummed I can't deposit checks using my Google phone. There is a bug that prevents taking pictures of the check. I see there has not been any update sence July 2019.
Latest update fixed check deposit issue, I still get extremely long connection times when logging in for some reason. - - old review below - - Useless app on Google Pixel 4. Worked pretty well on my other phone but now the main feature of mobile depositing checks is not functional. The camera isn't able to be triggered to take the photos needed to deposit a check. This needs to be fixed immediately.
This app is intuitively constructed, fast & easy to use. There are no ads and it presents information & reminders that apply directly to the bank. It is an upgrade that actually upgrades the function, a refreshing change from most "upgrades."
I have a Pixel 3a, and guess what? There is no way to trigger the shutter for depositing a check through the app. I can check my account balances on a browser. But I can only deposit a check through the app. But not with my phone. That is frustrating.
The new app is more intuitive, nicely designed, and easier on my eyes. The only thing missing is the ability to set travel notifications for the debt/credit card.
3/12/2020 -- Latest upgrade fixes check depositing for Google pixel 3a -- Thank you! -- -- Old review -- Cannot do mobile banking deposits on my Google Pixel 3a XL -- App doesn't trigger the camera -- No photo, no deposit, rendering the app pretty useless -- Luckily I still have my deactivated Samsung S6, and can make deposits via wifi -- Sure wish EB would have the app programmer fix this -- It's been 5 months!
Your password specifications have made it so that I can never remember the password. I have been locked out of my online banking several times. You do not have 24/7 customer support. On top of that we only get two attempts before an auto lock out. Could you have made the security any more annoying. Still locked out of my account. I cant be bothered to call customer service for the 3rd time. Hope this incompetent dev team will upgrade to 24 hour lockout with cell phone notification.
With a recent update it now requires me to log in twice, first time it tries to blame my connection for being slow? That's not true at all! Then the second time itll finally let me log in within seconds. Also exchange bank lacks a few simple features other banks offer? At the time it was just the closest bank to me and my family used it, but I'm thinking its time to find a new bank to work through.
Simple and direct. The mobile depost feature is too picky about image and not enough warning in multiple ways to let you know the image or deposit did not work. Otherwise customer service is great and helpful and timely human contact!!!
This app is terrible. Multiple times I had to re shoot the check photos, they kept getting denied. It's a nightmare. Yes, I uninstalled app and restarted phone. It's a terrible app.
Exchange Bank rolled out this app with so many flaws that I feel it was irresponsible. I can't edit payments without going to some hidden menu. The app is not intuitive at all.
Very user friendly. Everything you need for on-line banking is so easy and simplified in this app.
Excellent app, has everything I need to manage my account with rarely having to go to the bank. It's been 6 months and I still have no complaints. Exchange bank rocks!!
Maybe once in ten tries can I get this app to open for me. This has been consistent across two phones and multiple instances of deleting and reloading the app.
I moved across the country several years ago, but the stellar customer service I'd grown accustomed to as an Exchange Bank customer was hard to give up. Honestly, the EB mobile app has been the secret to making this long distance banking relationship work!
I like previous much better. This one is not user friendly. Makes much more difficult to pay my bills. Notifications are not working. Set them up several times. Why that has to be changed from good to worse?
It has been very beneficial for me to use this service. I am retired and living in multiple locations and always on the move. I enjoy visiting the banks in Santa Rosa and the always friendly personal but more often then not away. Thank you
it keeps saying there's no connection when I try to type login. can't get this update to work on my android at all for some reason. it worked great before this last update. Help?
Well, lets just say I'm happy to be with Exchange and had no choice with the app. I find it to fit my needs so that's important. Thanks Exchange, I wouldn't chose any other. 😉
Down one star re: last few times I've used this, I had to try about ten times to get it to capture the back of my check. It's totally automatic now.
This Exchange Bank Mobile app is always accurate, available, and easy to navigate. It is indispensable.
Made to make banking easier, but it does the opposite. I've spent more time waiting for the application to work than actually being able to use it. Simple as that.
I constantly have to login although my password is saved. Exchange bank has lots of catching up to do when comes to online banking.
The new Exchange Bank Moble app sucks. The last one was easier and less complicated.
Exchange bank has to be the worst bank in the valley ! The app is non functional most of the time .they are slow to update banking accounts and unnecessarily charge you for maintenance fees
The new app makes it harder for me to view my transactions as a whole. I also can't use the mobile deposit feature anymore- it doesn't seem to be compatible with my phone (Stopped working in the old app when I got a pixel; I was hoping this would be fixed in the new app). Tonight it doesn't want to let me log in with my fingerprint and it doesn't remember my stored password. I'm bummed!
