WHY EXODUS RADIOIt is a vision born out of the dream of promoting Africa through the good news that is getting less media coverage. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, a Nigerian writer and a noble prize winner, in a TED talks 2009 said in her presentation, about the misunderstanding of people because of lack of adequate information about a group of people resonated. Since a single story has been presented of Africa, several misunderstandings of the continent have been given to those outside the continent. More often than not, media programming is focused on stories that display the negative aspects of many stories. Yes it is eye catching but it is expressing only a small portion of what people are experiencing. From love to happiness and joy, there are many more experiences that should be given attention because they resonate with everyone. These experiences and stories should be shared to break the monotonous tones which only display the darker side of humanity that are currently being shown within the media and other online broadcasting systems. Africa and its many nations have thousands of stories that shine brightly. From music to business, entertainment and politics, there are many topics that are covered in the daily schedule.
