What is going on with your app? Every time I get to the final review, it basically crashed and says there something wrong on your end and to re select everything. It's happened 97 times in a row. I've Uninstalled and re installed the app. Log out log in.... and everyday there are less and less flights. Fix your app please
Competitive prices, zero support. Great when there are no issues with your travel plans, horrible if you have issues and require support from Expedia. Support team is off shore and don't really care about trying to help when help is needed. Everything you see in the commercials about getting support is just a marketing scheme, yes they answer the phone, but in reality they never solve any customer issues, especially airline related issues.
Not a good 1st impression. Thought this app would be ideal for us, we haven't had a vacation in years.... We figured using travel agents were a thing of the past even though we never used one. We were expecting to get information, see options, find the best accommodations for our family. Installed app and nothing worked.... it errored making the accnt. went blank after searches, page/links no longer available, other errors, something went wrong on our end. Or we couldn't find any information
Booked and cancelled within an hour. Found out they don't apply you membership numbers for loyalty points with various hotel and flights. They wouldn't cancel my reservation. Policy says you must cancel the day before your booking. What a joke. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. Highly recommend not using Expedia. I suggest booking direct with app for vendors you're trying to book with. I TRAVEL EXTENSIVELY FOR WORK. never had such issues.
The app is fine, but I've been waiting well over a year for a refund. Get on it, Expedia. Enough is enough. Update: It's been 2 years and still no refund. Hours upon hours on the phone with customer service, and no results. Always told, "wait 10 business days and see if your refund shows up". It hasn't. FOR 2 YEARS. Deplorable experience with Expedia. Cannot wait to be done with them for good.
Don't ever get return credits from expedia. They don't give you the accurate information on your flight until it's too late, the credits can only be used if you call a rep and not through the app itself, and the reps are extremely hard to understand and rude on top of that. I used to book with expedia all the time but after this last terrible experience with them I will no longer book.
I've been trying for weeks to sign into the app and it will not work! All I get is the same message over and over again: "Oops! Something went wrong when trying to sign in." I can sign in just fine on desktop so my password is correct. But I obviously want to be able to use the all on my trip! The email address listed in the 'Contact' section doesn't work.
good prices..but the app doesnt even work! you can choose right to final details and it doesnt follow through and sends you back to the search! This happens for any inclusive package deal, anywhere!!! Sooooo frustrating!!! worst support ever! worst app ever!!! really disappointing for a company like Expedia!!
I love Expedia as a service, but the app is horrible. It repeatedly fails to find my booked trips, giving an error message of "We're having problems on our end." When you try to use the chat feature, it continually says you need to sign in, but when you select the sign in button, it either gives the "having problems" message or just drops completely and returns to the login screen (which shows I AM logged in.)
1 star cause you keep turning the app back on! I force stop your app to save data and battery! If the app is stopped, don't turn it back on just to show me some promotional related notification, or any notification for that matter. Even with turning off notifications you still force the app to turn back on from your end!
Bad app, doesn't allow user to rate experience, perhaps a developer or Expedia thing. Either way, worst customer support and experience ever. Tried contacting them 3 times over a billing issue they over charged on, never received link or feed back. I personally think they overcharged and kept the funds as the property did not know of the charge. Hope this helps other users who are on the fence with this app.
We booked 2 day stay since I was having surgery but the hotel (double tree by Hilton magnificent mile in Chicago) claims that I only had a one night stay and the hotel didn't help us and charged me a more expensive bill (348 versus 268). The Expedia customer service representative (Nelrose) claims that Expedia can not help me correct this problem. So user beware and recommend that nobody use Expedia since they will not be able to help you if you have a problem. A real shame.
Basically non-functional. Endless signons, can't find my itinerary pasted from their own email. A big frustrating waste of time - as it was the last time I tried it 6 months ago - yet you are forced to install it by the Expedia website on Android. Grrrr. Idiots at the helm everywhere these days.
Can't even log in to my account in the app; as soon as you type the first letter of the email address, it closes the keyboard on my phone and can't reopen it. Makes the app pretty much useless, since I can't look up the upcoming trips on my phone, have to go to the browser and deal with website rendering...
I will never use Expedia for travel plans again. They have terrible customer service. Was not able to use my flight credits for cancel flights due to the 2020 covid restrictions. The process to reschedule included numerous phone calls with waiting times over four hours. Once fight was rescheduled over the phone there was no record of said flight.
Had eliminated app for a lengthy period of time while not traveling. When reloaded so I could use to book I noticed it has my outdated email. Trying to get into personal data to update but it tells me to sign in to access... App shows I'm already logged in and doesn't proceed to personal data. Concerned as I will not get my email confirmation and tickets/boarding passes to my correct email address. Sure the trip shows up in app but will I miss any communication? 🤦🏻♀️
Only issue I've had with Expedia is they sold us a room at a hotel that was fully booked so we had nowhere to stay for 13hrs. Super scary experience being so far from home. So just to be safe, we plan on double checking our reservations with our resorts ahead of time. Everyone makes mistakes. Other wise, would have been 5 stars.
We booked flights and found out later they canceled them and scammed us. We had to dispute with them at our banks to get our money back. At one point they hung up on me. My bank called them back and got them to say they are going to reimburse us in 7 to 10 days. I sure hope that the car rental don't wind up the same way. They did send a confirmation today so we will see because can't find it on the app now like I did earlier today. WATCH OUT PEOPLE.
The hotel charges right away and even way before you go on a trip. They won't return your money I cancel less than 48 from two weeks of my booking. The hotel wouldn't return my money here it suppose to be paid until day of trip. They keep the money and ask to deal with Expedia so vice versa they don't help out except blame one another. I got no refund at all. My cancellation was never looked into even I filed for a return the hotel called LL hotel in Flagstaff AZ just take people's money. Unfair
Favorite of all travel apps. Easy to book hotels, even same day. Good flight options. Have even used for car rentals. Good customer service when needed. Highly recommend!
One star because zero is not an option. Three attempts to book with a travel credit have been cancelled by the airline because of agents making errors in the booking. Hours on the phone have led to no resolution. My advice is to not use this company or risk losing your money.
Once my flight was cancelled b6 the carrier because the Expedia agent did not charge the correct fare. So we rebooked for an additional $86. Then I had to hange the date. Another $74. Then a week later without my authorization they took another $161. From my card. After many many inquiries the said their agent made another mistake. Don't deal with Expedia. It's not worth it. Flights are the same as the carrier. Bad business practices.
Can't sign in. Freshly updated. Somehow was logged out. When trying to sign in. Can only press 1 letter on the keyboard and it closes. Then can't bring it back up to complete it. Using Samsung Pass the stored information does not auto fill. Signing in online with the browser works but something doesn't look right and my points have been removed but I haven't made any bookings since prior to C19.
The difference between the prices for flights vary hugely between the app and Expedia Internet site. I was trying to book return flights from Paris to Los Angeles for 4 people and the difference in price ended up as 1200 euros difference. Also tried to book a car for the same trip and it was very expensive. I wouldn't even give this app 1 star.
