Looks and handles like a high school project. Abysmally difficult to navigate. Milage is consistently 10% out - always less than it should be. Continously having to log back in, then have to clear at least 10 errors to start again. Start screen can't be customised to open most often used screen. The app has obviously been designed by someone that had never had to capture milage before. Suggestions for improvement are met with sarcastic replies. Dreading having to capture an expense claim. Avoid.
I had been successfully using this app to log all my journeys and submit claims. I know the whole system ( not just app) was updated in September and since then I have been unable to use. I get a message that flashes up to tell me an update is available but it does not stay on screen long enough to click on it. No update available when going through app store. I cannot log journeys I submitted through work computer but the app is no longer synced with this as no record of submission on app
Crashes after logging in nearly every time. When it does work, it can take upto a minute for each screen to load, so any time-saving potentially offered by having an app is lost. This has the potential to be a good app but right now, it's not worth downloading. Use the web version instead.
Crashes on opening. This problem has been repirted for some time now, and it's not been fixed. Selenity are paid for this service, so why is the problem not sorted??? End users are out of pocket and unable to claim because the app doesn't work properly. Have tried the suggested fix of force stop and clear all data. This did nothing. Have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Also nothing. Tried a completely new install on a device it's never been installed on. Guess what - the same crashes happen.
App could not find location & when it did it froze phone & wiped journey. When it works its great, like anything else, when it does not work however, it can be frustrating. Edit: thank you for the reply. I'm not sure what could be done about the location issue I experienced? I manually add them now to avoid this.
too many clicks and sub menus. the decimal point is inexplicably on a submenu rather than with the numeric keypad, making it very clunky to add pence to a claim amount. the notification banners are a ridiculous addition (I have blocked them in the phone settings). the option to provide feedback via the app is subject to user privileges, which seems to be a bit authoritarian if the company really wants genuine user feedback.
Easy to use for travel expenses. Can add multiple stops efficiently. Only negative is if you forget to add a stop, there's no way of adding it in without changing all the other stops after it. Also, they need to update the postcodes they know, or give an option if your postcode isn't recognised.
Reliable app for recording the expenses. When you set up your details, you are good to go. Adding the receipts to the claim is pretty easy although I could not add the decimal point and had to change it on the desktop version.
Terrible interface, unintuitive and unreliable. Constantly stating maintenance is underway. Doesn't always save accurately, the GPS tracked mileage is always incorrect and shows less miles than actually traveled and therefore redundant. Only using because my company has forced me to otherwise would go nowhere near this app. Best avoided in its present state!
Disappointing. Just crashes on opening so not usable at all! Edit: following support, phone factory reset and reinstalling it appears to be working now. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. No idea why it didn't work at first!
The expenses app was fantastic for a good 4 years. The last 3 months i get a error message that says 'bad request' and won't let me upload my journey. It's such a shame as this reduced a lot of stress with submitting expenses. If anyone knows how to overcome this let me know!
I'm having to change my password every single time I use it. Always says that the password is incorrect, even though I know it's 100% accurate. The app even recognises the password as an old one, when I try and reuse it, so there's obviously an error with the app!
Like the app but I have never been able to use the mileage function. It records my journeys, then everytime I try to finish or add to claim, I get an internal server error. So frustrating, to then have to add them all manually!!!
Nobody drives the shortest route? We don't go down undriveable country lanes. Our sat navs are set to quickest, please alter the default. I know you can put in detours but you spend more time altering the route than you do driving. Please change the default. Thanks,
looks great. but why would you go to all that effort, then limit access by making finding the price impossible. nothing in the app the website is just a sales pitch asking for contact details, which I assume will lead to sales badgering for an expensive product. I'm just a guy who needs to track his bus tickets !
Amazing for expenses admin. Has made a daunting task simple and efficient. I used to miss expenses as receipts would be lost the resurface after the claim deadline. This app has meant expenses become a background task and don't even make it onto my 'to do' list.
Relatively straight forward to use, however intermittent issues when trying to upload receipts, "unable to complete your request at this time. Please try again later". Both on or off Wi-Fi. Highly frustrating when your company has a time limit to submit expenses.
Could you please help. When selecting a date for inputting expenses, the month shows up but the days don't, so I'm blindly selecting the right day by tapping numerous points on my screen to be able to select the correct day. Is this an issue you're aware of?
User friendly. Like the automatic loading of camera/ gallery screen when uploading journeys on the train- allows to quickly upload a receipt without clicking through more pages to do so. Would be useful if I could save journeys as a favourite, not just location. I.e. if I could save a return cycle from home to the train station.
Constantly crashing. Tap to add location and icon constantly spinning. Very time consuming when trying to get through visits. Have to edit journey to add passengers instead of being able to do this when adding location.
Does not work on my Samsung J5- just shuts down as soon as you try and start it up. Absolutely rubbish. **update- (10/4/19) I've downloaded it again. It STILL doesn't work and it's still rubbish** **Jan 2020- different phone, same problems. I have NEVER been able to get this app to work. This is the app I'm supposed to be using for work and it is worse than useless. I wish I could give it no stars**
Just added this app. I'm pretty IT literate but this is useless and not intuitive. I'll probably stick with desktop version where home and office and other regular trips are more easily entered.
It allows me to submit my travel expenses when not connected to my employers network so its handy but clunky, for example - the calendar you use to select dates of expenses is blank and you have to guess where the correct date is. The only day visible is "today"
Another update Nov 21 Uninstalled and re installed. Simply wouldn't accept receipt pictures. Any help here please???? UPDATE: Issue is back on a new phone too. Can't be bothered re installing the app. It should not be needed. Can you sort out? ISSUE SORTED BY DELETING AND RE INSTALLING APP AS MY OWN ACTON. Using it for over two years, instead of improving the app it is now constantly logging out after taking a photo for receipt. Very frustrating, log back, search last item, re take photo etc.
Cannot get the app to run or open tried force stop and clear cache still will not work. Very frustrating when you work for a company who tell you that you have to use it to get your expences back for the money you have personally laid out. I've got loads of receipts and mileage claims and cant use the app. Seriously not happy. Well now it's my phoned os that's at fault. I might think about buying a new phone but cant get to put it on expenses. CAN I. SO Glad you never got my bank details.
Everytime I try to add a receipt it times out and fails to save it. I end up giving up in frustration. Cannot imagine how much I haven't claimed back because of this.
By having this on my phone it's easy to keep track of my expenses without piles of car park receipts. It's not 100% intuitive yet but its pretty good.
Doesn't even let me log in. I've used the web based portal with no issues but when trying to use the mobile app it won't even log me in. I've tried all the troubleshooting checks, still no joy. From reading other reviews it seems this app is just totally useless. Don't even bother with it.
Apps are supposed to be made to facilitate task! Not complicate them. This is not my first rodeo, but I'm finding myself going round and round, like an idiot. I feel this is part of a comedy show, where this app has purposefully been made to make people feel silly.. And I know this will not change anything!
Absolutely shocking, don't force your employees to use this awful awful app. Full of bugs, constantly crashing the phone or locking it up with little way to recover. Badly thought out, not intuitiveat all and so many wastwd clicks. This system adds so much wasted time every day and at the end of the month sorting out the mess of data it leaves you with.
