Exploding Kittens® - Official

Exploding Kittens, the most-funded game in Kickstarter history, is now available for Android!
Created by Elan Lee (Xbox, ARGs), Matthew Inman (The Oatmeal), and Shane Small (Xbox, Marvel).

KEY FEATURES:

- Exploding Kittens is a multiplayer card game for people who are into kittens and explosions and laser beams and sometimes goats.

- Play with 2 to 5 friends or strangers online

- All art illustrated by The Oatmeal

- New cards exclusive to the digital version of Exploding Kittens

- The digital version of the most backed game in Kickstarter history

In this highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette, players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode, they are dead, and they are out of the game -
- unless that player has a Defuse card, which can defuse the Kitten using things like laser pointers, belly rubs, and catnip sandwiches. All of the other cards in the deck are used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Kittens.

Exploding Kittens is a paid app in which optional game features may be purchased with real money. You must be at least 13 years old to download and play. There is also an option to compete online against strangers and resulting data transfer charges may apply. Player usernames and expressions are their own. Improbably and undeniably good fun, the magnitude of which it is difficult to appreciate before purchasing and actually playing the game. The tutorial takes litterally 60 seconds to run through and absorb. After that, one can play against the computer, host a game to play against friends (none of that pass-and--play nonsense), or play on-line against strangers. There are lots of extra packs and avatars to unlock or purchase, which adds to the game's contagious replayability.

I love playing Exploding Kittens! The app is pretty responsive and the game modes are really good. My only suggestion is that I wish there were an indicator to suggest that it's my turn (a continuous indicator in addition to "Your turn" pop up at the begging of my turn). Sometimes, I keep waiting for others to play but then I realize that it's my turn very late.

Great app! I've really enjoyed the card game and expansions with my friends, and I also enjoy the app! The play has changed slightly in the app, but I think that's advantageous given the new platform. I've played a few games online with no hiccups. Tons of fun, especially with sound effects and turn time limits! I also appreciate that the chat feature is limited to a selection of pre-programmed messages, as that limits trolling. (And allows for fun voice acting.)

I really love this game but, I've even bought some of the extra content but... It can be so annoying, the times when you get disconnected from a multi player game is mental and it has nothing to do with my WiFi connection the problem is definitely their end.. Shame really, 2 stars lost sadly. It is also desparate for a better way of adding friends and a league table would also help with interest longevity.

Game is good. However some suggestions. 1) the amount of time given to a player is very little and it would be nice if this was configurable. We want to have a relaxing game with friends and the short time makes it hard. 2) Also the screen is a bit too noisy making it annoying with so much going on. 3) I got disconnected many times from the game 4) it seems to start the game sometimes without waiting for my friends to join.

Fun game! One possible fix might be to allow a player who has won a game to return to the menu by either the in-game return button OR by the device "back" system button. It doesn't really make sense to penalize a player's win/loss streak immediately after they've won just because they "improperly" returned to the main game menu.

This is a fun, shortened version of the card game. My 2 complaints are: 1. I wish when you play against the computer you had the option of playing more than 1 A.I. at a time. I know you could play multiple live people at a time but there's a waiting period for that which isn't worth it. 2. Maybe it's just my phone but when I'm trying to start a game (me vs. the A.I. ) I have to hit the start button multiple times before it finally works. And it doesn't matter which level I choose either.

Good, fun, original game. It takes a reverse thinking to not want to get rid of cards. The only option playing against the computer is 1v1. This option kind of gets old after awhile. Not sure why can't have more than one opponent? There's other decks you can buy to play with for a nominal price. I suppose that would make the play a little more interesting for a while but then back to 1v1 and like I said above. Have the physical card version and it's more fun with 3-6 ppl.

The game is fun, but I keep getting disconnected from multiplayer games for no reason. I want to play with my friends but I won't ask them to pay money for something that only sort of works. If multiplayer worked consistently I'd probably rate it 5 stars. (I'd also like the option of offline games with more than 1 AI at a time, but that's not as important as multiplayer.)

This is a great adaptation of the original card game. My one complaint is the lack of nope cards. They were the best part of the regular game, it was made especially fun when you keep on staking nope cards each cancelling the last one out. The other complaint I had was the lack of defuses in the draw pile, in the regular game (if my memory is correct) there is 5 defuses or something around that. In the mobile version there is only one. Overall this is still an extremely well put together game.

Highly addictive and super easy to learn. Game of chance and bluffs that's very fun to play. There are a few different card pack variations available at a small additional cost that mix up the game somewhat and help to keep the gameplay fresher for longer. Longevity might be subjective but it's something I'll probably still play a year from now. Would recommend if you're a fan of other card games such as Uno, crazy 8's and 7 card blackjack/switch. Great for when you haven't got friends over.

Amazing bought after buying the physical game and loved it. It gives a code for three free avatars. The game has great controls. Rules with the perfect mix of simplicity and complexity as well as luck and strategy. Plus there are many chat options and they are ALL VOICED that is the first time I encountered that and it gives them so much personality. Also the cards look great and are hilarious. Overall the game is great and so is the mobile port.

Love the game. Bought the game. Was surprised to see that the different decks were even more money. A little disappointed that there is no way to combine packs. Game itself is fun even though the hardest level seems to defy the odds with the number of skips or slaps the computer has at the end of the game. Will the game ever allow for more than one AI opponent?

Overall it's a nice and funny game. Still I think that the extension packs are too expensive even considered that there much fewer player and you will end up having long wait times to play a one to one, maybe. You should encourage user base growth before trying to moneytize here. Also, there isn't anything like a top chart or statistics to see how you're doing and compare with other players. Every match is stand-alone and all together reduce the longevity of play time down to a minimum.

An amazing game and I'm sure a lot was put into it but I would say to improve the app in anyway would be to have an "add friend" option. Then, have an increase in players from 5 to 6-10 if possible. The game would become flawless. Overall though, I've never had issues with the game, but I can definitely see more potential for it to become the best it can be! 🖤

Would give more stars if you didn't get nickel and dimed for everything within the game. Would rather pay more for a more stable experience than pay $1.99 for the app alone with basics and every other "extra" item you have to pay an additional $1-$2. Not exactly what you think you're getting with the purchase.

I really like this game, also got the real version. It is really fun even without any more extra packs. The only thing I would love to add would be the possibility to make some kind of friends list with people I have played with online. Sometimes I play a lot of rounds with the same people, would enjoy a feature in this direction. Maybe also add a little more chat possibilities without paying extra?

I really enjoy this game and especially like the slap mechanic. I still prefer the real card game way more but this is a great alternative for when all your friends don't want to play it with you anymore because you put the kitten on top. Overall, pretty good game, I would add some sort of way to unlock more avatars without purchasing them.

This is the best game in Play Store as far as I can tell. However, one thing that would improve it is if there was a leaderboard/ranked system. The problem is, sometimes the winner is the luckiest player and being 2nd can feel bad. With a leaderboard/ranked system that rewarded finishing 2nd, 2nd would be less feelsbadman when the winner has had nothing to do all game out of luck.

This game is fun as hell. I never played the card game, but I'm glad I tried the mobile version. Although simple at first glance, the game offers a level of strategical depth through a number of cards meant to counter your opponents and to keep you out of trouble. Although a premium game, it offers paid card decks and avatars which don't hamper the gameplay. Only complaint is that I bought the Betrayal deck and it's hard to find strangers to play with. Other then that multiplayer works flawless

could be the best game ever but... the android version doesn't allow you to play with people in proximity without using internet - probably just the limitations of the phone - BUT it would be really neat to be able to friend people using their name or a code as well as during gameplay (with strangers). I think that if they create a way to have 'friends' to request games with, this could be one of the greatest games ever. With so many people loyal to the physical card game, this would take off

I love the game, but I hate the play by yourself medium and hard mode. I understand that it is supposed to be challenging, however I have played both modes at least 50 times. ( I have won and lost) Not one time have I been dealt more than one cat card to use to steal an opponents card. The simulation always seems to have all of them usually stealing from me multiple times at the beginning of each game. make it almost impossible to develop a strategy. of course I am only using the starter deck.

Nice game but needs some changes in my opinion. 1. Should add levels and XP into the game to give you more sense of accomplishment and an actual reason to want to keep playing (other then it's fun.) And this could give you certain rewards for leveling up. 2. I think there should be a certain level you reach if that is added or from winning enough games that you can maybe unlock one or more then one of the extra decks you have to pay for. 3. I think decks cost too much. Great game either way.
