Exposure Calculator
- set 2 new parameters (a combination of Aperture, Shutter and ISO) and the 3rd parameter is automatically calculated.
It is also possible to add 1 to 3 ND filters of up to 30 stops each to the calculations, handy for those long exposure photographs to blur water and clouds.
The app also includes a timer for exposures of 4 seconds or longer.
Main features:
* aperture range from f1.0 to f360
* shutter range from 30s to 1/8000s
* ISO range from ISO 25 to ISO 3.2M
* ND filter up to 30 stops, in 1, 1/2 or 1/3 stop increments
* up to 3 stacked ND filters
* ND filter modes: stop, density, ND number
* timer for exposures of 4s or longer with alarm
* night mode (Lollipop and above)
Permissions:
* control vibrator: to vibrate after the timer expires
* read external storage: to enable selecting a custom ringtone stored on the SD card to be played when the timer expires

Note: in the Shutter settings section there is a switch tor camera type. This switch simply selects how a small set of shutter speeds around 1 second are displayed, choose the one your camera adheres to. Exposure calculations work for all camera makes, this switch is simply for display purposes.

Very useful tool, especially for pinhole photography. The only thing I would want to add is reciprocity calculations, which I currently do in a separate app.

Simply put, there is no better app for calculating exposure when working with ND filters.
[Jan. 23 2020 Update] This is the best ND long exposure calculator that I have ever used. Simple, accurate, UI is layed out properly with attention to detail. Everything one could ever need for long exposure work. It is 100% free with no annoying ads that could disrupt the user during field work. I also greatly appreciate the developers time and effort for continuously updating this app that I have been using for years. Thank you for this! Well done.
This is an excellent app. It is very simple to use with no learning video needed. I am not sure that the app gets the exposure right first time, but the light was changing and my test shot was probably a little off. So it was probably me that was at fault. A very useful tool for anyone doing long exposure photography. Thanks!
Used this for some night time shooting and the settings worked as hoped. Please remember you have to know how to set your test shot first if you want to get correct results. So this may not be the app for you if have not mastered that yet, but if you have then get it.
i thought this was for taking pictures 🙂, though it was fine, i didnt understand what was in it lol 😅
nice app, does what its supposed to do. only downside is it doesn't have landscape mode as im unable to see shutter amounts when going beyond 1/80 as its cut off on screen. wheel needs to be bigger or allow landscape so it will show properly. will then be 5stars.
Best app for ND Filter. I have tested some others. In all of them you can't change ISO or Aperture. Here you can take a test shot without Filter in any ISO or Aperture and then you can calculate shutter speed values as per your ND Filter as well as with any desired new values of ISO or Aperture.
Great FREE app. Note the word 'free' for anyone critical of this app. Makes life much easier when doing long exposures. I for one fully appreciate the time the developer has put in to this. Recommended.
It does its job well and simply. The only thing I'd ask for is an option in settings to type in values for aperture and ISO - some cameras have odd apertures like 1.5. Apart from that it's everything I could ask for.
A great help especially for someone who is new to photography and learning how to use a camera in manual mode.
It's ok. In relation to using for pinhole work would be good to see the option to input/select any size aperture rather than preset options. Update : Using for pinhole and working well!
Awesome for calculating new settings. What I'm really missing, is the exposure value from any given configuration. (Like the one from toolstud.io) Update: Awesome update, exactly what I was hoping for!
Great that it doesn't mine your personal info, and it goes past f64 (if you go through the settings menu) - very helpful for calculating pinhole exposures!
Basically just doing the same as my guy Jason. Instead of wasting time leaving a neg. review, try watching the PROVIDED resources to learn how to use something new. & if ya dont find it useful then clearly you downloaded the wrong app. Im not going to download Tinder to try & watch Disney movies. t("t) ...i dont have the finger emoji 😂
I have a Canon mirrorless RF F1. 2 lens. How ever this option is not available for my f. Stop. I know it's not much of a difference with f1-1.4. But would be nice to have. As new mirrorless systems have alot of upcoming 1.2 lens. Thank you
Average app. Good for students or amateurs. No advanced functions. Anything that is offered here can be calculated by human brain faster. Ergonomic is not there, not intuitive interface.
Great so far. Havent used it yet in the field. Next major enhancement should be to add a light meter functionality to it. I would buy that.

downloaded this app just to say i loved reading the developer's comments. i ordered my first drone this morning and a set of filters. can't comment on the app yet, but I'll update once i use it. for now, 5 stars to help offset the "i don't know how to use this and instead of trying to learn I'm going to rate 1 star" foolishness

Easy to use, timer is a thoughtful Addition.
Won't give a strict reading based on just iso and Fstop. always set to stop down (radio buttons cannot be unchecked) no option for 0/no stops. Seems only very limited use, not as a light meter. Perhaps it's not compatiable with SS G20 but I played with the settings and could not get a reading giving me a shutter speeed anywhere close to my Sony, it was well off 1/4 vs 1/30. EDIT: Thanks for the responses, I see it's strictly for stopping/ND filters but seems like it could also be a lightmeter (maybe) if you allowed deselection of the fixed stop radio buttons (or with small tweaks) and that it could be a more versatile app for certain.
