Express

Hello from a dane living in Norway. This app is one of the top best I've ever had of several reasons, one of them definitely being that there's an option to change textsize. Most other news apps don't have this feature. But one quite important option are missing for whatever reason: you can't copy a word within the app! WHY NOT? there's words I don't understand, and in other news apps I simply copy the word and get a definition. It would have been 5 stars did this app have that feature.

Very enjoyable and keeps you uptodate with latest developments. It also shows both sides of a story which is vital.

True news. I preffered the previous format and index. This later version is not as easier to get about the site and a bit harder to look at. Stop press after a few weeks the new format is getting easier, must be an àge thing. PS I concur with your review Tony Fisher. After several weeks of using the new system, as one would expect all is now great.

Good app. Such a shame that the headlines are sometimes very different to the articles. I call them misleading, others call them clickbait.

Usually easy to navigate, very up to date on news , slightly slow to fully load up latest news

It's ok having news stories in an app like this but the app is forever "freezing up" on my Android tablet. I have to keep closing it and opening it up again. It's definitely got worse recently. Does anyone actually QA new releases of this app? I've just re-installed it after a supposed upgrade and it's even worse now than it was before. HOPELESS!!!

This app used to work. Now, after recent updates it crashes my whole tablet! Once I could not get comments, now I can and then it crashes! As mentioned before don't try to fix something that works. I have now uninstalled this app - once good now totally useless!!!

Slow, intermittent, asking for log in when already registered, not accepting Google log in. In short it is a pain.

Uninstalled weeks ago and I lost all my bookmarks, 😢 got tired not seeing these news articles. I guessed I would lose them, it was a small thing as I can read comments once again. I sent email to express explained my problem with not being able to look at comments, nor reply to other comments. Answer is clearing the cache. Check that all you other readers. I didn't because I uninstalled and left it, going on to other news apps which I didn't think a lot of, nice to be back in loop.

Decent up to date news but hugely irritating that nothing is being done about the bug in accessing or leaving comments. Used to work but now nothing but a blank screen.

Love this app, does what it says on the can. I do hate adverts, but sometimes I take notice of them.

Was reasonably good until recently. Can no longer access readers comments. It just sits there with the circular 'loading' progress indicator. Useless.

Since I had an update a few days ago I cannot access the comments. I can get them via the Web page but not the app either or on the phone or laptop (android) After reading a lot of the reviews will you be fixing the problem with the comments anytime soon? They worked okay until the recent download. 7th March and the comments have returned - thank you

I do like the enhanced presentation. Having previously required to go through a new edition of the Express each time, if I wished to read an individual article, this became a severe drag. One declined to do so on many occasions because of such complications. I do like the continual updating of news items and, consequently, refer to the Express several times in the day as a sort of current news magazine. I also support the Express' focus on Brexit and the absurdity if the EU in all aspects.

Disappointingly poor when compared with other news apps. Stories split up by 'links' which don't link, video clips which don't work, and it just doesn't function as all other news apps do. As for content, stories usually thin on detail, generally all same length (why?), and often do not support the sensationalist headline. Disappointed too because I am a right of centre voter and would have liked to rely on the Express more.

Does not let me comment on posts. It was okay to start with, but now I can't log on. I am going to delete app.

I very much enjoy this app because you get far more news on it than the BBC app or Sky News I've only given it 4 stars because, when it's open on a news page, there is a very annoying little red thing that keeps flipping back and forth at the bottom every time you move the page up. Can something please be done about this as it is so frustrating and I find I have to cover it with something. If it didn't move it would be far better and I'd give it 5 stars,

Great site for the news. Inclined to jump about a bit, but, could be my tablet. Wouldn't be without it.

Good app for news coverage and comment. Don't like the new page blight. That is: (1) The red circle that appears when scrolling which is particularly distracting. (2) Why have a red arrow back button that only appears when scrolling up, plus fading top of the screen ? The Android back button does the same job and works all the time. Also, setting text size should be an app global setting, not a setting to fiddle with and occupying screen space on every article. Apart from all that, it's great!

Very slow, uses an outdated platform that frequently crashes. News content fine, same as printed paper just badly let down by terrible website design. Very annoying that when you read an article and return to main menu it does so to the first item so have to scroll down page to find next item. Hate to say it but Daily Mail has very good website platform that works far better (shame about the biased content!).

Still crashes constantly. Latest update worst yet. Impossible to use.

More ads have appeared on the app in the past week or two and these ads seem to be crashing the app now. As soon as the ads load up on the article you are reading the screen goes black and eventually defaults back to the main screen. It now seems to be impossible to read any article without this happening. It's a shame as it used to be a brilliant.

App doesnt relate to accessing the e edition of the paper in any way. Shape or form. Its not on the app. Theres no link to it on android

Very good informative and balanced source of news.

Reasonable need app. Gives the news plus a crossword and soduko. One annoying feature. Whilst all my other apps have the 'back navigation' on the bottom left of the page this one has it on the top left. Otherwise it's ok. For some reason is all collapsed. It opens ok but when I want to read a story it shuts down. The only thing that I can think of is Google updates it's play services. Soduko still works.

Enjoy the scope of news. Updates often. Less satisfactory making/ seeing comments; the DM app keeps a tally, and is easier to see responses.

Just wish I could use the "return" key on the phone rather than go to the return arrow on the top of the app page. Every other app works that way, so the Express app is the exception to the rule. I'd also like to see editprimal opinion up front on the main pages. It's not easy to find. Otherwise app quite fast so not bad.

I love this news app as it is most current with events that happen in real time.Very informative and factual.
