The dictaphone interface is great, intuitive, clear, easy to use, and works just like a normal dictation machine. The transcription software works well. BUT, and it's a massive but, it is NOT possible to email the dictation. The button sends you to the FTP area, which also does not work. The description above says clearly that dictations can be emailed. So the app is absolutely useless. It would be brilliant on the go, it would even be good sitting at the desk, having the dictation machine separate to the PC. BUT NOT if you can't send the file. Crazy. This is a sine qua non. It needs sorting NOW and not thought about later. I need a refund from google play.
Terrible experience. This software in android does not work! It cannot send via email and it is totally pointless. I now have dictated letters that I cannot send out. I demand a refund. The app totally describes that it can send via email! Looks like this issue has persisted for more than 2 years and nothing had changed. WHY ARE YOU STILL SELLING THIS IN ANDROID?
Can you fix the "send files by email" function or at least provide where the files are stored? This isn't working, which stops the main function of the app - to send dictations. Please reach out and provide support. Update: money refunded. Btw the desktop software is good, which makes this disappointing.
This app is genuinely terrible. Impossible to send your file to its destination. Referring to a 10 minute dictation being too large to send via gmail when gmail is not the registered account and the registered account has no file limit and massive storage. Had to google for an hour to try to set up FPT to send files and now app won't recognise the address. Please can I have my money back? This app does not carry out it's most basic function.
No problem when I had this app on my iPhone. With my Android phone, the app looks different and I cannot send files by emails. Very frustrating! A lot of wasted time trying to use this Android app!
Once dictatation complete you cannot email on Android platform. Support will most likely respond to this review with a Web address requesting I email them but I have already contacted via email over a month ago, no response. It appears this is common, I wish I had read reviews first, but used app fine on IOS and thought it would work the same.
Update - I couldn't email dictation and contacted support, but no reply... I was asking for a refund, but I've re-installed it and emails are working, so have changed the rating to 4 (5 stars he they'd responded promptly).
It does not work on Android and the developer does not respond ro support emails. The developer response was advising to log a fault with their support. However that was done on day one and months later no response. They are useless.
The App is very user friendly, notes are sent within 24 hrs , customer service is at its finest ..I highly recommend this for any professional that is tasked with documentation. This service has saved me hours of work . I have an android and it has been smooth sailing.
Updated review to two stars, so far. There is a non consistency between de last update (2019) and the developer answer, about their update policy. Please, try harder. The app in ios is really good. Thanks
We just could not get email or ftp to work on Android version. Gave up and got refund. iPhone version seems to work fine for those staff with iPhone. Looks like we will need to find alternative for our Android users.
When I click on the option to send my dictation through an App, nothing happens. I can't use the FTP option. (Have an Android.)
Please, I requested for refund. You have uninstall the app but you are yet to refund my money. I thought the app was for transcribing audio files
Latest update has made it impossible to share to Dropbox. This needs to be fixed.

I usually use the desktop dictation and happy with it. I had the iOS version for use when on the move. WIth android (and cost) I have an app that produces .dct files of 25 MB which cannot be emailed and have to be sent to typist as dropbox links which is irritating and cumbersome. The desktop app files are 4MB for the same length. Help instructions for MP3 file compression do not exist on the app. I am looking for an alternative as no response to feedback.
I loved this app on my iPhone. It was great. But the DROID app is terrible. What took three click before now takes 8 and a long pause. Purchasing this app was a huge disappointment because the interface is no longer quick and easy. The process, which used to be so simple I could do on the go, now has to be watched and waited on. Unless needed specifically for NCH backend you will want to avoid this app. Per your request for feed back: 1. Assume that if ....l ran out of space.
I paid and use this for work but sadly it has not been updated since 2013 and it shows. Inferior to the iOS version. No way to default to FTP so it always asks how to upload. Random crashes. The basics do work.
Used to work, but without MP3 export this is no longer useable. Too bad because otherwise it's a great app. No response to my several emails.
As of right now this app is not compatible with the Samsung s22 Ultra. It says that the display settings are not compatible and may behave unexpectedly. Then it will not allow you to record! I confirmed this on more than one device. Please fix! It used to work perfectly on my previous device, and I use this almost everyday!
