Express Plus Medicare
You need to be registered for a Medicare online account and have a MyGov account to use Express Plus Medicare. You can use your existing MyGov username and password to set up your four-digit PIN for first time access.
Express Plus Medicare is available on supported Android 2.3.3 or above devices.
Services available via Express Plus Medicare:
•request a replacement or duplicate Medicare card •view and update your address, phone and email details •view and update your bank account details •view your Medicare card details •view your Child Immunisation History Statement •view your Medicare Safety Net information •view and store statements in the Secure Vault•find your nearest Medicare service centre•lodge a Medicare claim.
Claiming at your doctor’s practice is the most convenient way to claim your Medicare benefit. Many doctors now provide this service.
If you are unable to claim when you visit your doctor, you can claim using the Express Plus Medicare mobile app. All claims submitted via the app will require you to capture and upload a receipt to support the claim.
By using Express Plus Medicare, you acknowledge the legal obligations you must comply with when completing transactions. These obligations are detailed in the declarations agreed to when using specific functionality within Express Plus Medicare.

Can't log into my account, never got a reminder about my Medicare card expiring. Unable to renew it. Can't do jack with this app. Absolutely horrible
App used to work well, now it only allows three digits of a four digit pin to access. Fix this because the app is useless without access.
Constantly asks for my Medicare card number every time I open the app, and I need to verify that every single time with a 2FA text code. Very annoying.
Went to use app first time I needed Medicare in years, and its broken. Yesterday it worked when I checked to make sure it still worked. But today when I needed it, its stuck in an endless loop of wanting to update, going to app store (but no install option). Hit open as only other option is uninstall, and it starts the process all over again. Seriously, with thousands needing it right now to get covid jabs its unacceptable. Looked at reviews and looks like its a common problem.
After getting booster shot covid certificate showed correctly my 2nd and booster. Added to services vic app. Deleted by mistake but when I tried to link again my certificate had reverted to showing final date of vacc. as date of my second dose. So...looks like I haven't had my booster. Immunisation details show all 3 but I covid cert. doesn't. Frustrating as all get out.
1. After log in using email address and password, a box pops up saying a pin number is associated with my account and that I should use that next time I login. There isn't a field to enter the pin number. 2. It is easier to find Queen Elizabeth 2s private mobile number than to give feedback or contact anyone re. the app. It tells me to go into the app and use a menu selection there. This takes me out of the app back into the rabbit warren of web pages which will tell me to use the app! Joke?
Great fast easy way to see your vacs ect. Anyone having trouble putting certificates on my check in app. Go to settings in browser and hit useful features . Then turn on linked apps. Then it will work . Hope this helps others
I needed to have certificate on my Samsung pad before travelling. The app just said pending for ages and ages then stalled at 99% but finally updated so be patient.
This is rubbish. Keeps sending me to PIN screen and then back to screen to download an upgrade. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same rubbish. Fix the app please bc I need to find some Medicare information!! Okay so I now have it working. I actually opened the play store and searched for the app there. Was an option to update. If that doesn't work then follow the steps in a below review about samsung internet. I did that first and didn't seem to make a difference but could have
Works similarly to the actual government of Australia. Works a few times a year but mostly just another app that fails to work
Completely terrible app. Was working perfectly until I was forced to download the update. Now it refuses to generate my vaccine certificate. Luckily I had a screenshot or I literally wouldn't be able to go anywhere. If people need to rely on an app to go places AT LEAST MAKE IT A FUNCTIONAL APP!!!!
I have the app on my phone. Why will it not download on to my laptop. It says available for all devices. It just keeps coming up as Installed
Awful. I signed up completer the process and set up my pin then it sends me into a loop of signing up, verifying my number and around and around.
I wish to could give this and the myGov app zero stars. Infuriating. They are both huge useless turds. They don't accept correct passwords which previously worked, and they never send a phone or email link to reset your password after requesting multiple times. Completely useless. Trying to get this Medicare app to link to your myGov app is IMPOSSIBLE and hugely frustrating. Why don't you just make one app that includes everything, and then make the stupid thing actually work. 👎
Mine doesnt look like the opening screen, asks me to sign in using my gov, doesnt work,& nowhere could i find how to link, my double vax cert. Stuff it. I have the qld sign in app, & an official photo from my docs of double vax.. Thats gonna have to do..ZERO STARS.. schoolies making these defunct unconnected apps or what?????????
Displays vaccinations incorrectly. Shows my vaccine doses as May and November. This was my second dose and booster dose, but it's showing on the certificate as though these are the only two doses I've had. Now if I show my vaccine status people will think I waited too long between doses. It should show a more accurate history of vaccines and dates or just don't show dates at all.
I really needed the app at the ER. It works the first time, but each time after... Spinning circle and then a timeout error. Since being back home I have uninstalled and set it up again. Again, works the very first time and from then on Spinning circle and then a timeout error. I am at a complete loss. Using a Moto 5Gplus, on android 8.1. I have tried a dozen times over wifi and 4G. Works the first time and then nothing unless I reinstall. Please fix it.
I have to hand it to this Government. They do corruption on a Herculean scale but cannot manage a basic and fundemental app that all citizens require to enable linking of mygov and Medicare for the purpose of then linking their covid certificate to state service apps.I have spent 7 hours,YES, 7 hours trying to open the Medicare app so that I might link it. Pin entry is not displayed,though I have a pin.Same repetitive questions relating to Medicare card and personal details,over and over.
Couldn't even get it working I got the mygov app set up that no problem then tried to use this and my password or email doesn't work I tried 20 times changed my password copied my password then put it in still doesn't work. Horrible app
Unable to download app update, screen shows pending and stays that way. Phone is less than two years old. Constant app updates being required on a range of apps. Same results, built in redundancy it appears, sneeky marketing move, update phone and keep with the program or you're out of luck!
Since the update I can't even login: says, ”validating”, then fails, saying to check my internet connection (which is fine). Prior to the upgrade it was a nightmare to try get a clear photo: it compresses the image so much that it's rendered an absolute mess. Actual photos of receipts with the regular camera app are perfect, not sure why you need to compress so heavily.
Terrible - unable to do anything. Very limited functionality - barely any forms/functions are available. Can't even upload a document, and even if I try printing it to take a photo, photos don't even appear. As I can't upload documents and taking photos isn't working correctly, I can't even submit a claim! What a terrible app, waste of taxpayers money.
When the app works, it's useful. However, the app will only ever work the first time I use it each install. Each attempt afterwards sends me into an infinite loading screen, described by many other reviews. Reinstalling the app is obviously a nuisance, and it requires using a different unused PIN each time. This app isn't some commodity, it's an essential service our government is meant o be providing us with, and for half of us, it simply doesn't function. This is unacceptable. (Using an LG G7)
I just downloaded the app and when I log in it says I need to download a new and improved version. I click the link which takes me back to the Play store and surprise surprise - there isn't a new version and the only option I have is to open the same app again. Just and endless loop of government funded garbage. It's an ironic metaphor for how completely incompetent the government is when is comes to serving the people that are paying them. The most inefficient use of captial allocation ever.
Is this a Medicare app or data collecting, I sign up put in all my details but can't log in again.

This app was working well for me until the recent upgrade. I tried to login and get a message that an upgrade is available. When I click on the download button to upgrade the app, it redirects me to the play store. However, the only buttons available are either "Uninstall" and "Open". I tried to uninstall and downloaded the app again thinking I will get the latest version, I got exactly the same result. So frustrating!
Ridiculous... I downloaded app, was taken to page saying download update, clicked, back to app store ... open app... stuck in loop I've now got in... thanks to another review below has an assist that works for Samsung ... 1. open Samsung Internet 2. Settings 3. Useful features 4. Open links in other apps Then you will get install update in Medicare app...
This app is very flaky and inconsistent. The immunisation history in off-line doesn't update when you view that history. My partner has got international certificate on off-line view but there's no option for me to have it there. Like most AU fed government apps, this needs a lot of work.
