External Keyboard Helper Demo

This is a really good app for those who are looking for ways to make their phones more functional. At first, I was disappointed because I thought it doesn't work, turns out I just failed to switch the input method to this app. After that, I just had to follow the simple tutorials in youtube to assign apps to the shortcut key combinations and now it's working so well. The occasional "demo version" prompt is also tolerable for me. I would love to buy the pro version soon.

Not only allows to map keys (characters) to different places, but also allows to define text macros (keys that output an entire sentence) and application shortcuts (keys that open an application). Only sore point: on disconnection of physical keyboard, the soft keyboard needs to be re-activated manually. However, fortunately for this purpose a handy screen shortcut is supplied.

I was looking for application which will support two language layouts for my Bluetooth keyboard (Logitech) with my Sony Bravia Android TV. For some reason Sony does not let you to use two languages on BT keyboard out of the box. This one is only one which worked for me (I tried four different apps) . You can assign key combination you like for language switching. It appears as additional keyboard in settings / keyboard menu of your Android TV. Configuration menus are a bit inconvenient, had to read some manual on the Internet to understand how to add layout and assign language switching key combination on BT keyboard.

Let me preface by saying that I found this app from YouTube and so already had a visual before downloading the app. I think this app might be hard to understand otherwise. However, it allowed me to PERFECTLY map my DualShock 4 controller to the more universal Xbox button layout. This has allowed me to use the DS4 with many games, including GeForce Now and RetroArch. Bravo, have been looking for such capabilities for months without success!

Succeeding in mapping a Nintendo Switch pro controller to the app. However, detection is spotty, keypress is only recorded on a longer button press. Without accurate detection, controller is barely functional. EDIT: This appears controller dependent. PS4 controller worked very well. Key detection issues may be independent of software

Really usefull. However I do have an issue, while competitor app does pickup "OS" button (windows button or mac button or ENTER+ESC whatever you call it) this one doesnt seem to be picking it up in scan code. Ideally i would like to map that button to All apps or home screen. Im I doing something wrong?

I appreciate having the demo available. I didn't use this much. I jumped straight to the paid version as soon I knew it was going to work with my usb keyboard. I'm rating this demo version a 5 because the paid app is fantastic! I've wanted a convenient way to use a full size keyboard for a long time. I'm send my thanks to the author. You've created a wonderful application for the entire world's benefit. Thank you!

I can't get the AppSwitch keycoded to map to anything. I've got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. I can map the home and back buttons to hardware buttons on the keyboard, but just not the AppSwitch (which I'm guessing displays the list of runnings apps)

Had problems with my BlueTooth Keyboard with Android 9 where it would duplicate characters and make it impossible to type...This app by giving the ability to turn off repeat is fantastic...Highly Recommend for the Tab 8 with Android 9... Well worth the funds I paid...Was easy to configure and now working great. Thanks for a great product.

Its as if the developer does not want people to use it by making it overly complicated to use. The tutorials r a pain to read and its not structured properly. I even have to use the browser read mode. Someone could code a better app in the time it takes to get this to work !

I really appreciate this app. I only type dvorak and that is easy on my MacBook, but not on my android phone. Dusted off an old Mac wireless keyboard, downloaded several dvorak apps, but the phone still typed QWERTY. Installed the Demo EKH and Voila! Works great! Thanks.

It works fine with my ps4 controller the thing is when i press L2 it thinks im pressing L2 repeatedly and not holding it. So when im aiming in a game it aims then doesnt aim and it does that over and over which basically means when i aim it flickers on and off. Can the developer help me?

this is the app i was looking for. its the only app where i can type on my physical keyboard in another layout on my phone. the only annoying thing is that it sometimes writes demo version while im typing. other than that its a pretty good app

Works as advertised. Stable so far (Lenovo 7). A bit counter-intuitive to setup, but workable - and the setup you only need to do once.

in android tv boxes, lot of errors in keyboard, like enter will not work, and for this this app works or solution is given,but if u reduce the price, everyone will buy, price is too high, just for one error. i hope that price will be reduced and be everyone can buy

WOW It's Amazing. Works like a charm. I can customize any button on my keyboard. Only downside is that it's not compatible with Dex mode.

I lose quite a bit of functionality with Chrome with this app enabled. Shortcuts like zoom and 'new incognito tab' don't work for some reason.

I only needed to get the Enter key working on a wireless keyboard and a USB keyboard. It was simple to configure and use. And it worked for both keyboards at the same time.

It works on my Huawei media pad an v. 7 like a charm. Krikey, what's with the one star reviews!? People, this is a DEMO app you use to test compatibility **before** paying a paltry 2 bucks for the functional utility.

Huawei Mediapad 3 lite 10". Don't work. Only one layout active. If layouts are switched virtual keyboard switch layout buf physical keyboard types only in one layout.

I use this app to map some keys on my remote so it works well with my TV. Customisation works well, thank you!

A1 App for external keyboard...And you even change your external gamepad's buttons mapping... Its need specially when you want to use some specific keys on external gamepad🤩🎉

Actually works if you got any GTA mobile game you will want this to change Bluetooth controller controls around to your liking

Would give 5 stars, but it inserts "(DEMO VERSION!)" as if you typed that every so often. Unusable

Hindi is provided for external keyboard.... something which is missing even from android's side.... highly recommend....must have app

The main reason why I installed this keyboard is for button remap, and which is not working properly.

Makes absolutely no sense when you want to map a controller.

Custom key mapping does nothing e.g. mapping Home button to VOIP key on Logitech keyboard does not work.

I customized. Then the program didn't accept the customized controls
