If anyone has android phone can't connect. Try to connect the board with iPhone or ipad after connect to the board update the firmware for the board it will fix the issue for Android user It fix my issue
Just got the deck and I can't use my phone to make changes in the app. Downloaded it on iOS and the Bluetooth connection worked immediately. Your Android app is in dire need of an update. The Bluetooth just flat out doesn't work.
For new esk8ers and veteran esk8ers. Exway is built to perfection. They have a board for every class of rider; wave, flex, max, atlas. This company makes sure every component is top quality and somehow keeps competitive pricing. This app let's you tune your board to allow a toddler to ride or tune it like a racecar.
The app could be way better with some simple improvements. 1) why do I have to wait for a new connection every time instead of pairing the app with the board one time? 2) is it really necessary to use location services? Why? 3) the connection between the app and the board is not very reliable and breaks sometimes. Looking forward to seeing some updates in the app.. Update: The app now (v 1.7.2) is not even connecting to the board as it does not detect any Bluetooth devices.
App keeps force closing it. Fresh install does the same thing. Just picked up the board but can't use the app to update board. Bummer. I will bump up the rating when I can open the app.
The app worked great at first to connect my pixel 4a to my Atlas but recently it has stopped letting me connect. When trying to connect, the app cannot find my board. Seems like a common issue but it makes the app useless. Please fix.
3. Introduced new bug. Will not detect you board. Very Frustrated that the new 1.7.2 fails to find my X1Pro. As a reddit post stated, I can see the X1Pro in Bluetooth settings.
The latest version (1.7.2) introduces an issue where I'm unable to search for any Bluetooth devices within the app. This is likely due to a change in required permissions: Location access is not requested in the new app; this is the only outlier that I see when I compare 1.7.1 to 1.7.2. I went back to my old phone and file-shared my old Exway apk (1.7.1) from my Pixel 4XL to my Pixel 6XL Pro and was immediately able to find and connect to my board. I hope this helps someone.
Works great, if you can get your board connected. Big IF Actually scratch that. Can't connect, this is annoying.
Immediately crashes as soon as I scroll past Transmission. Every. Single. Time. Unusable.
Straight up doesn't connect to the board, which means you can't actually access the board's higher speeds. Absolute trash. Can't recommend that Android users even but the board in the first place, because it moves glacially slow without access to the higher speeds.
Removed Remaining KM's & Carbon Offset(Kg) kind of sad to see features removed as the app is updated with no explanation. Doesn't indicate that there will be many improvements ahead. I must add, I absolutely love the board and controller. This app was the only hang up so far, with the features disappearing
The Android version is completely unusable in its current form. Even after basic troubleshooting like reinstalling and restarting my phone, the app isn't able to open without immediately crashing.
You need to fix this app, I can't pair to my board. It's on and I did everything needed but it will not stop loading
The wheelsize is stuck on 2mm, even if I manually change it. I can't fit my email address in the feedback tab (it's not very long but still doesn't fit). It would be nice to see how much battery has been generated by braking. Would be nice to have a clock function on the hand remote display. So I know how long I've been riding for, or if I'm in a hurry. I don't want to stop to get my phone up out of the pocket to see what time it is.
Love how my board has issues and finally trying to fix and than the app doesn't work because I can't connect board through Bluetooth like come on
Please fix the latest version 1.7.2. It is unusable as it will not connect to the board anymore. I reverted back to 1.7.1 and the app works as it should. Otherwise everything is great with my Flex.
Great company good product! I will admit when I first got the board in summer of 2020 the app was clunky but the board always worked flawlessly. With each update the board gets better and the app more stable! I am okay with app issues especially for a new company as long as they are incrementally fixed. Love both my exway flex boards and am looking forward to better weather so I can ride again!
This will stay 1 star until the store version is reverted to 1.7.1, or until 1.7.2 is patched. Completely unusable in it's current state, it has no access to Bluetooth on Android. One shouldn't have to download an APK of an old release to use their $600 dollar board. Otherwise, this would be 4 or 5 stars.
This app isn't good if you have an Android. I had find the older version because once I updated the new app and firmware only one hub would spin and the app would never save my settings for the board. If you have an Android try to find version 1.4.2 then reupgrade firmware, this should help but please fix this app!! When it does work it works well
Disappointed I can't get the board's remote to download it's info onto my phone so no idea what my top speed was or any averages, etc. It downloads my settings from the app, acceleration and brake levels, etc to the board, just not the remote - sooo frustrating tbh. Expected better.
It doesn't stay connected when in use and you have to keep reconnecting. Can't use it without allowing access to photos. There is no need for exway to see my photos.

Rev 2: App works first time on a Samsung S20, clearly issue with the app development on Pixel 6 Pro Rev1: Atlas 2wd - won't pair with my Pixel 6 Pro, any ideas?

Can you roll back the app to version 1.7.1 until the issues with 1.7.2 are resolved? The app won't connect to my board, and reading reviews/searching online, shows I'm not the only one having this issue.
Doesn't connect with the wave, please update the app so i can connect my phone to my board...
Love the board but this app can't find the board and I've tried every method I can find to fix it. Can't even give the app feedback because it's broken. I've read online that you can get an old version but I have no idea how to install something like that on a phone. Only being able to use half of the boards potential is a huge waste. This has been a problem for months and doesn't seem to be getting fixed.
