Push notifications aren't reliable. I get them late or I don't get them even though there's an event. Overall it does a good job for me, but I can't renew my yearly cloud storage. Does anyone know why? My payment gets declined even though my details are correct... I bought a 12 months subscription last year easily, I didn't get a notification about the expiry date coming / renewal so one day just noticed that's its not there anymore. And I can't renew it. :-(

Works quite well for over a year now. I have 8 Wi-Fi Vstarcams connected and I have not experienced any freezing so far. The app for Windows is not that good though. Slow and not consistent. Passwords of certain Cams are often lost and I have to re-enter every time I use the app. Compared to the Hikvision system we have in the office is slightly behind but the price tag is 1/3. had to give up on it. when it worked it was great but a little too sensitive so it turned on frequently. we started having issues with it randomly disconnecting and not reconnecting to our wifi. then one day it simple stopped working. we managed to get a partial refund from the seller but I admit all I wanted was for it to work. like i say when it worked it was great. the app was easy to use. but too unreliable for security purposes. also the camera was hard to set up.

Works well for viewing camera. Be wary, opens up the camera to the wider internet to allow remote access via this app. Doesn't use UPnP, doesn't ask, don't know how it does it but I had to block the camera's IP address from communicating on all ports in my router to make sure. Although useful for many people I'm sure, this is not something that should be done stealthily, regardless of how the communication is achieved.

Two items are bad. As in unacceptable. 1. The power cord will not stay connected. I have had to change cords twice now and suspect I will again. 2. This thing is not plug and play. It should be. The manual that comes with it needs an electron microscope to make the words big enough to read. The cost of paper is not that great. Make it large enough to read. Picture quality is great. No issues there. Finding the controls that control the pan up, down, side to side is bad. Why do you hide it? I am on my 4th power cord now. It has remained active for 30 minutes now and is still going. Still cannot get the scan setting to work, am still trying

The UI is intuitive and the motion detection seems to work, but the app crashes every time I try to view a recorded event. It does the same thing on two different phones and rebooting the camera/reinstalling the app does not work. This makes it mostly useless to me. The camera was also a gigantic pain to get on our network. Update: The developer was super responsive to my issue and the new update did fix the issue. They even sent me an apk to try if the update didn't fix it.

The latest version is great. Earlier I had an issue with the installation of the cameras but I contacted their online customer service who helped a lot. The cloud storage is affordable and the storage capacity is massive. I would recommend this app because it is very effective in showing real-time videos and images. It also has a high level of versatility as you can use it for various tasks either at home or in the office. It is easier to operate once installed although a simpler initial procedure of installation would be highly welcomed. I am looking forward to the next upgrade

It would be nice to be able playing back the video at 2x, 4x, 8x speeds. It's too time consuming to go through several video files at 1x speed. Also, when sliding the file name to delete, pressing the delete button is already a second step for confirming the deletion. There is no need to have another question "Sure to delete?"; way too many steps.

Software needs improvement. User should be able to navigate to video progress bar to any time frame. Right now, user can only do that after if the video is downloaded to that time frame. I can't jump from 0:00 to 10:00. No one has time to wait especially if you have to investigate event footage on various stored videos. I use C63S camera, night light is too bright, impossible to see human face. There should be an option to adjust brightness of infrared.

edited: After some playing around software is now working very well without any downtime over a few weeks now 4 stars terrible software. When it connects camera works well. But 99 times out of 100 it does not connect. Gives message "building an encrypted channel" and never connects. motion detection alarm still goes off so there must be some connection. So i think this is mostly software. PS have spent hours on forums. common problem, no obvious solutions

Whats the point of having a security camera where the app doesnt even function properly!!! muliple freezes...very slow to open...when you get a motion senor alarm it takes so long to open up the app that its too late to even see what has already happened!!! even the updates do not fix any bugs nor improves the app! same problems. FIX THEM PLEASE!!! constant freezing lagging when opening app loading takes forever!!!!!!!!! always failing to open previous videos!constant connection fails!!!

I am installing this app again because of login issues. I made a single mistake on the password and it wouldn't let me correct it. Plus I couldn't access previous footage. You have to use the same WiFi as the camera to see the video feed. I can't access it with 4G data or another WiFi. I got the camera so I can check on my house when I am not at home!! It is very frustrating and inconvenient. We have a camera tax in our country and I have to pay every year for the damn thing. Not worth it!

Push Notifications have stopped working and frequent disconnects. Camera is accessible only via LAN but there is no option to access via web. The missing fast forward option when playing videos through the app is a big waste of time because it needs you to see the whole video. The app also doesn't support detection zones.

The camera worked for over 2 years. All of a sudden, it just wouldn't connect to the internet even it's directly connected to the router. I tried the online support, didn't help much. They first ignored my messages until I started to type in Chinese. And in the middle of the ”conversation”, the person just went offline and an auto response just popped up.

1 because no fast forward to the videos in the (sd cart)!!!!! .To find out what happened yesterday you must watch the entire video from sdcart and also manymanytimes it crashes!! and again from beginning...!!! And if i download the video the 4 of 5 times it crashes and after restarting the app and again i go to download the video and again from start! I have a life i can't do this all day! Wttf! als its not possible to connect 2nd acount!

I. hate. this. app. It crashes non-stop. I get a notification and I'm lucky if I can actually look within 10 minutes of the motion. I force stop it constantly so i can get the camera movement to actually work. I've written the company about the issues and nothing has been done. I will never buy another one of these cameras again. It was such a waste of money and I wish I could return it.

Just bought this camera. 1st Issue was intermittent connection thru Windows Eye4 software, The error message was 'Authorization Failed', I reset the Cam many times but still unable to connect. 2nd issue was showing error message 'Incorrect Password' thru mobile app. It was working for a while after resetting the device then an error message appears again. Even the default password is not accepting. Btw, The firmware was updated.

As of October 2021, the notification for motion detection is broken in the app. They messages are still appearing in the message center, but are not pushing to the notification bar or email. I followed multiple trouble shooting steps provided by the developer, and all settings are confirmed to be correct. I have uninstalled and installed the app, cleared the cache and storage, and updated the firmware on the Camera. Still no notifications Please fix.
