Our child's nursery recently switched to using the eyLog applications. This has been poor from a parent perspective. Diary updates from nursery are only provided once per day rather than live as with other apps contributing to a poor parent experience. When updates flow through, information is also limited compared to other apps. App is slow to start up. Interface is poor in terms of colour and contrast, layout and size of menus for touchscreen devices.
Nice app to stay in contact with nursery and see what my kids have been up to. Works well for the most part, bar some minor things. For one, whenever I want to share a family event or outing, I have to upload it for each child seperate. Would be great if I could do it in one go, even if it means the app turns it into two posts as soon as I'm done.
Slow, cannot pay invoices via the app so have to wait for a link to be sent.
Decent app for nursery observations, it was chosen by the nursery our son attends as their tool of choice for sharing photos, videos and observations 2-ways. Functions well for that use, has extended features that the nursery doesn't use, so can't comment on them. Seems to be reasonably secure and rarely crashes. Can be a little slow at times, but not too bad.
App concept is good, but the loading times for videos are painfully slow, tapping on pictures is slow to respond, and opening a notification takes you to the item but once the page loads you are then taken to 'home' screen. To see a daily log I have to tap on menu, daily log, latest log instead of having it open immediately.
The app is full of bad UX patterns. Starting with constant annoying requests for rating the app, with no button to say no forever, to taking you to feedback form instead of play store review if you rate less than 3 stars. The notifications from daily diary take you to the note just for a second, only to kick you back to the home page when it's done updating child's details. Same for message notifications.
Love this app, a perfect way to see what your little one is up to during the day whilst in nursery. I can see and read about my daughter's progression in all the time she has been there, it is amazing!! There isn't always enough time to speak to the care workers and ask about what activities she has been doing or how she has been progressing, so this is perfect. To have your own personal account for your child and to sit and look on it in your own time is preferable. Great app for parents!
This is an awful app! Keeps crashing every time I try and view my child's report! Have tried this on different devices and the app still crashes. Won't let me login on line with my email/password either so I still can't see my child's report! Not a very user friendly interface either.
Absolutely LOVE this App! 💙💙💙💙💙 I normally would of much preferred having a paper copy to keep of my child's daily progress, but honestly this App is amazing! I love being able to see pictures and videos of how his day is going and the daily dairy of how much he's ate and nappy changes. It gives real peace of mind throughout the day.
great app for keeping in touch with what my baby is up to at nursery. and what she is learning. great to share back and forth the progressions. playback of videos takes a long time and so having to download them to be able to watch them properly
Really good app, great to be able to see a daily diary and get photos and videos of what they have been up to. Had an issue after a recent update but I just cleared cache and data, deleted the app and reinstalled, works fine now!
A bit clunky to use and the menu navigation can be unclear sometimes, but it allows the nursery to communicate with us and it's free of any showstopper bugs! Notifications for daily reports and messages work well too.
This app is brilliant! I love having updates from the nursery about how my daughter is getting on. I can also upload videos/photos too. It allows there to be alot more communication. The only downside is the loading time for videos.
App only shows nappy change info on daily diary, food, sleep and other info isn't visible. The info is there if you log in to the website it's only missing in the app. App constantly bugs you for feedback and throws an error when I try to submit my feedback.
Not great on pixel4. I can open messages only once and then cannot read them again. I am unable to open attachments. The app seems to have some bugs as I sometimes just gets a white screen and it freezes....
There appears to be security flaws in this app. I was asked to download it as our Nursey is going paperless. When I downloaded it I was asked to give access to camera etc. Next, a screen appeared asking me to select images that were not mine. These were images of the children of a guy I've met briefly but don't even have his number or FB. I'm very concerned about whether this app can keep my baby's data safe and confidential.
the app is slow, videos take ages to load, I dont even bother looking at the logs because it's so frustrating. It cant be that hard to fix the problems!!
Limited 30mb uploads for videos is too small for modern phones! The parental upload is a great function to communicate your child's learning back to the school especially over COVID-19. However, this is greatly limited by the 30mb upload limit. Even with video resolution set to 720 the lowest a modern phone will go to you will get less than a 30 second video. How can you show a 3 year old showcase their learning. This limit needs to removed and then I will alter the review.
Such a poorly designed and developed app. Very unresponsive, redirects without telling you. Forcing to use the app when on mobile (luckily there is an override in Chrome).
Fantastic app to follow your little ones learning journey. Instant messages to and from nursery, photo updates throughout their day and daily diary updates so you know what your little one has been up to. Absolutely fantastic app.
The app is absolutely rubbish. Request ing download always. Very slow
So frustrating when trying to download pics and videos. App says download complete but doesn't appear in my gallery. This is sometimes after multiple download attempts too. Galaxy S9 plus.
Why does the app hide the status bar of the phone it's really annoying. What makes your app so important it needs to be full screen and hide the clock, notification icons, etc?
