Horrible app. Was able to connect to the WiFi once but had no options for anything. My model isn't even on the list that shows and in the connect to WiFi I now see nothing. I have reset the cam several times forgotten the network ,tried to start then connect then the other way round. Nothing. Even the feedback button never submitted the feedback. I have never given any software a worse review than this. If I could give negative stars I would. The u is horrible, there is no help, no faq, no online tutorial, nothing. Someone let me know if any other app works with various cams cause this one is a no go.
Phone needs to be in Airplane Mode! Even if it appears to be connected a 3G/4G signal messes it up. (Android ZTE Blade Max) Turn on Airplane Mode then go back into WiFi settings and turn just that back on, then connect and it works! With that said still only gets 3 stars because the app is feature poor, not very intuitive and occasionally crashes.
It's a real good app! It's not perfect, obviously. My guess is that maybe it's a bit old & needs a few updates? I use my Eken H9R with this app, which i think works fantastic so far. I had a small issue at first, playing the videos on my phone because there was some kind of error w/ the audio codec. This cam/app records these videos as MOV extensions, which works on QuickPlay (old program), but i was able to convert these files to MP4 (with a separate app, or online) & now they work BEAUTIFULLY!
Wanna comment the app has so many setbacks as when I take pics/videos directly from camera and later connect to cam wifi & the app, I can't view them on the app. Apparently they are viewable only when you're connected to the app & take pics/videos from there. But once you've disconnected from the wifi & reconnect again, you can't view your pics/video taken earlier. But no worries they are not lost for good, just that they can't be viewed from the app & this is so not practical.
Crashes all the time to edit videos. There is no way to import your videos other by the wifi function. Would be better to register the devices serial number to import content then it wont be a free app. Please fix the vidoe editing function.
Well, it doesn't work very well. Had great trouble connecting via the wifi, it crashed when taking stills if you can get it connected and the down loaded video has this terrible crackle on the audio makes that unusable. Really low quality and a new version urgently required.
Can't connect to camera to the app via WiFi, app finds my sons HD5W but not my 4KW, same results using his phone, managed to get get files off the camera using another app (after downloading all from the app store and trying each one) or plugging camera into computer but it is not ideal and not how I intended to use it. I am waiting for technical support to get back to me so hopefully they will fix the problem otherwise I will send camera back and get a different one.
Before this which is last 2 years it work perfectly with my h9r, but now it won't even connect properly, the cam it say "wifi connected" but on the app, nothing is changing or happening instead it keep showing the cam name, and when I tap to connect it keep repeat the same thing... WHAT A LET DOWN
No real clear instruction how to use and took me awhile to figure out. Did work on EKEN H9R camera with the instruction given on manual, but have to disconnect mobile data for the apps to work and connected to camera. Once camera shows wifi connected and phone did connect to the camera wifi, make sure apps show connected, press connected button to access the interface.
It does not work at all with Google pixel. Connects to camera, but unable to view video or control camera. On iPhone, it connects fine and I'm able to view and control camera, but I can't steam live to Facebook live. Only options are to take picture or record video. Useless for what I needed.
It works great... but... your phone has a function that will force it to a WiFi connection with internet access. to turn this off go to your wifi settings then select your camera. under the settings you will have a option that turns on notification about public networks. Switch this on and you should get a notification that will say the device doesn't have internet connection, should it stay connected. Select yes. this should solve the problem where you cant control the camera. worked for me
The Application just keeps crashing and very slow very disappointed. Please fix it ASAP otherwise the features you people gave for the camera is of no use at all when customers cant use and if its not user-friendly. Thank you.
I try and download my videos, doesn't work. Connection issues, stops working for no reason. etc etc etc. The app is just bad all around. Someone should be fired for launching this piece of garbage!
The camera is great yes it does get hot but I just turn it off. The app does nothing. All it does is make me connect to the camera wifi. It doesn't connect to it none of the videos show up or photos. I can't record from my phone.
Unable to connect to camera over wifi. Keep saying connection lost. WiFi connection ready on camera. H6s+. Useless. Later edit: After a loooooot of trial and error, I've managed to connect by turning cellular data off. I raise my rating to 2 stars.
Bought the HD5W, Downloaded this app as instructed and followed the instructions in the manual carefully, had no problems so far. Great! However I think you need to make sure you are not connected to the internet on your device for the app to work correctly. Live streaming is amazing.
Video editing is not wotking in the app, plz fix it, whenever I click on a video, suddenly app closes. Otherwise the other functions are working good, good app!!
Look I got the ez cam 9 with 4k and I'm using a wiko smart phone android..it said ez right well it really doesn't give me much options I havñt Ben able to see anything as soon as it connects nothing but the connected msg shows then I go back space and push the blue (connect) button well I do that then my cameras display gos dark and the (lost connection) appears ....all the time.. don't know what to do but put in the trash
Doesn't work, says connected but nothing else can be done in app. No transfers, nothing. Tried clicking connected button but it says "disconnected please turn on your wifi", which is still on. Can someone suggest alternative if any?
A very poor built application, lack of features and very unstable. When I first bought the camera it was very difficult to set it up, internal settings have mixed languages displaying.... I had to get in touch with the company who sells the camera because the software and the password mentioned in the instruction book are misleading and ultimately wrong. Overall the camera is OK, overpriced for its quality (and what mentioned above) also the battery is very cheap and need changing.
