Internet users at one time or another have experienced the pains of network loss. In most cases, this is resolved by rebooting the router which can be annoying and a pain if it involves a long drive to the site.
In comes UIS devices. These devices are designed to monitor and automatically power-cycle it’s outlet when a network failure is detected. This is achieved by connecting the router’s power to the UIS device and have it check the internet connectivity. Majority of network disconnections can be resolved this way - saving both time, costs and headaches.
The user can also check on the status and perform a manual reboot of the network device to ensure optimal functionality. UIS devices can also be configured to perform power on, off and reset at scheduled times.
Setup is just a few simple steps;
i. Install ezDevice APP and sign up for a free cloud account to centralize and manage your UIS devices.
ii. Connect power and ethernet to UIS device.
iii. Add UIS device to APP over LAN or WAN.
iv. Enable UIS (Auto Reset) function – Done.

Works pretty well. I Use it to reset my media server if away from home. Sometimes media server does not respond. Server is set to reboot on power failure so this device cuts power and the computer reboots.. works great. My only BEEF is the app should tell you the WAN IP address. Sometimes my ISP changes IP and I cant know what it is remotely. This device could add that info to the network tab (currently only shows lan address) then it would be 5 stars
Update does not work...only white screen on Samsung 21 Ultra. Worse yet, its either update or you cant use your existing app.
App Fails to Upgrade Firmware - It always timeouts at the end after the Upgrading message. Product support no help. They have no idea why it's not working. I have Ezoutlet at 2 separate locations. Firmware upgrade impossible at both. Upgrade finally successfully, but now immediately crashes upon launch.
Just updated today 3/19/3021 and now the APP will NOT open on my phone. Previously worked prior to this update....PLEASE fix this!!! 3/20/2021 - new update the day after reporting APP was crashing. I'm now able to open APP with no issues! Thanks for fixing. Still don't see or have ability to reset both outlets at same time or simultaneously. Will change rating from 1 star to 4.
App does what it's supposed to. Set up of dual outlet device with cloud server went well, no problems. Wish list would include: Being able to access device log; reset both outlets at same time; layer 3 device set up with cloud, with manual entry of public I.P.
The app had been badly broken with the ezOutlet3 device - it would crash anytime you attempted to upgrade firmware. I am very pleased to see that that is fixed in the new version that just came out.
An update took a critical server down with an unscheduled power down. No update should change the power on state. Could not power back up until update completed. Disapointed with remote app software quality.
Don't download the app doesn't not work majority of the time I recommend just using the web interface. It's much easier and reliable. Deleting the app
Good app. Would like to see one button reset, at the same time, of both outlets on my device. Can do that but must set up a schedule.
Great product. It helps me to better remotely manage my clients network equipment. One feature request (to earn that 5th star) is a log or timestamp in the app, which tells me the last time the device had to power cycle.
Tech support stepped me through the setup. I wish the instructions were more intuitive. That would have helped tremendously.
Does what its supposed to, would give 5 stars if there was a log showing when the device was activated. That would be a very helpful function.
(2021-09-07): Just installed latest "ezDevice" app update (Version 2.0.0a) . Why have you still not added the "Reset All" function for dual switches? ie. UIS-522B and UIS-622B.
Wouldn't connect to device. Said the device I'd that was printed on the device was "invalid" What a waste of time.
So far everything good. Working as described and support answers questions promptly. Very nice idea.

This works well for controlling my MSNswitch. Unfortunately it is lacking two things I'd like to know while I am remote: Connection Status and Event Log. These only seem to be available when connected to the switch directly and not through this app nor the website.
