ezPDF Reader G-Drive Plugin

Unlike other apps which work with Google drive and Dropbox, ezpdf expects you to type in your user id and password into the app itself rather than linking via auth keys. Very bad practise and I refuse to do it. Please use conventional secure methods like everyone else.

I read and read about how great this app is, well i disagree. All I wanted was PDF reader that would flip pages on my Nexus 7, i just had to have page flip. Well it takes forever to render lets say a magazine. I swipe and swipe and nothing happens. Finally after some time I can swipe a few pages then i have to wait again. I may go back to using the stock "Document Viewer" that came with the Nexus. If I play with this app and figure out settings that make it work better, I will update.

I purchase ezPDF from lenovo app store, but they don't have this ezPDF cloud plugin. I install plugin from google play, but the "GOOGLE DOCS" does NOT show up when I open my ezPDF again. I give 1 Star for now and will come back and check later.

I download this in the hope it would sync google drive file sturucture where all my PDF's are so i can veiw them offline and when I go online it syncs and updates accordingly. Sadly this does not seem the case. If there were an app like PDF expert on iOS which does have this freature and many more then I would be willing to pay a fair amount of money to download.

Insecure, and doesn't work: For some reason, when typing my password, this plugin remembers what I write and add it to my dictionary. This doesn't happen in any other app. Obviously that's a huge security issue. And even then, it just doesn't work - it just doesn't connect. I don't know if it is because I have two-step authentication turned on, but a cloud drive plugin should be able to support that.

EzPDF is the bar for which all other apps should be judged. Functionality is great, and improving all the time. Super innovation. There are small things that need tweaking, but honestly, when are we ever done tinkering with our masterpiece? I really love this app, I would recommend it to anyone. Even destroys the Adobe aPDF reader app. I have tried almost every PDF app out there, this one is the best, and far more useful and productive than some of the so-called office apps out there. This G-Drive Plugin was not a very good implementation to begin with but now it does not even work anymore without allowing Less Secure Apps to connect to my google account. That is not going to happen. How about implementing a proper secure login.

Connecting to your GDrive is more painful than it needs to be. No indiciation is given than the plugin doesn't support 2 Factor Authentication. Instead, you have to create an application specific password through the Google Security Settings webpage and type in the 16 digit code. Once connected, you realise that it really wasn't worth the effort. The Folder/Collection structure of your Google Drive is ignored. Instead the app simply shows a list of files in order of most recent access/modification time. And even then, it doesn't show all the files. I have HUNDREDS of PDFs filed away on my GDrive yet only a tiny fraction of them show up. Basically, if you want to access PDFs stored on Google Drive, I suggest you use the Google Drive app and just tell your device to use exPDF to open the file as default when the option is presented to you.

Really need true sync capabilities with Google Drive the way it works with Dropbox. Functionality is almost useless without it. Also, with all cloud access, the ability to sync just annotations (so I don't have to upload the whole file every time I save) would be a big improvement.

Hi. The app is really good on my Lenovo 4.4.02 Tablet. Just one thing about it though, if it helps to improve it, is when I swipe to turn page, it takes a few seconds or more to load. Also when I go back to the 1st page, likewise, it takes a while to load. Its not an issue and works well. Its very attractive.

is not up to par. Constantly having to login multiple times per session. Always get errors when trying to upload my annotated pdf files back to Google Drive and lose hours of work. Using Evernote / Skitch for now to annotate my pdf...shame. Free apps shouldn't outclass paid ones, right?

I loved it on my kindle fire then I bought a tablet with honeycomb 3.2. On the new device I was wowed because there are a lot of things that were more user friendly with one weird exception. I have ones through the settings numerous times and cannot for the life of me figure out how to be able to flip pages with just a swipe/tap on the right or left with 3.2. Instead I have to tap near the edge and go to either the top or bottom right and touch a tiny arrow to go next or previous page. I do love how it automatically goes to fitting to column text with a quick double tap and the notes and highlighting are more ready available. Overall a Good solid app

This is still my favorite pdf reader, but the dev is completely unresponsive and the program becomes steadily more weighed down with each release. At times I wait 30 seconds for it to catch up to my highlighting. I keep trying others; I will switch soon if I find something with same features.

The plugin in its current state is not very useful. First, it does not connect to a Google account but requires the input of login credentials each time Google Drive is accessed. In particular when using 2-factor authentication this is extremely cumbersome. Second, it does not display the folder structure in Google Drive. If you have dozens of PDFs in your Google Drive structured in folders, it is extremely hard to find what you are looking for. I hope Unidocs will give this plugin some effort to lift it up to ezPDF's excellent level. For now it is better to explicitly download using the official Google Drive app or a file manager, read, and re-upload if a document was commented/modified.

This add-on is very poorly executed. It doesn't support 2-step verification so I had to create special password for it in Google. But it doesn't remember this password so it asks for it every time. The special password is around 20 characters long (not meant to be remembered but rather a workaround for application like this one). This renders this add-on completely useless. Also it doesn't support folders as others mentioned before me. I will change my review if these two things improve. In the meantime, it's only 2 stars out of 5.

This is nearly unusable. It doesn't show you any folders and it doesn't store your account login information (why not just use the login already set on the device, anyway and request access?!?). Really, you're better off using the separate Google Drive app and exPDF without this plugin. Don't even bother.

Good reader and pdf editor on the go (the edits are kept saved the pdf and if You open it then e.g. on your PC they will remain there). What I find annoying - small bugs: 1) when I try to come back from text reflow view (the standard one, not the new one) back to default view, in most cases the app freezes or goes to the recently used docs list. 2) the upper and lower rim of text (apprx. 10 pixels) cannot be read but the text is not scrolled only to the visible area in reflow mode. What I would like to have added: In reflow mode (this is essential for mobile phones): 1) allow for selecting the text and at least copying it (e.g. for translation, web search ..) 2) improve how the structure of the text is shown (bulets, numbered lists .. comments like highllighting and underlying) in the reflow mode. 3) make it easier and more usable to comment on text in default view (mainly highlights and underlyings are implmented now for "dexter" fingers).

I set up a special password using Google 2 step verification but the app never remembers it. This forces me to go back into Google, revoke access to the App and create a new security code. Basically, it is unusable. Please fix this. I love this app and use it a lot (or rather, would use it a lot).

Nook HD+ running CyanogenMod 10.1. // G Drive files showed up fine in ezPDF but no dice in Moon+ Pro. Unsure which app is at fault here so I can't comment further on that bit. As for bad reviews due to the plugin wanting login info, I do not understand why that should upset some people. Yes, some apps will ask other apps for permission, but many others do not. For example, the Sandisk Memory Zone app (similar to Astro File Manager except that the Sandisk app can additionally create backups of installed apps, docs, contacts, etc on your device and send the backup to Skydrive, G Drive, Box, Dropbox etc or your physical memory card, and restore) needs login info for every account you want to link. This is no big deal, people.

when I access a pdf on my google drive, it can't be saved back to the drive when I make annotations. another issue is that the annotations can't be seen when the modified pdf file is opened using another program, e.g Adobe Reader/Pro/X on th pc. I mainly bought the app to be able to access my g-drive files on my tablet and make annotations/highlights when I'm reading them on my nexus7! So, I can't do it.

I can access the pdf's of gdocs. My problem is that I need to access specific files in organised folders. My folders do not show. A long list of unorganised pdf content is disappointing. Other than that a great app. Sort this out and I will be able to change to 5 stars

I have PDF files in Google Drive, but when I try to add annotations on my tablets, EZ fails to save the document. I've installed this Plugin, but absolutely nothing different - it's not at all clear what this plugin is even meant to do. Moving my docs to DropBox, as at least I can edit, copy, save them in that service - where this plugin is probably not even required.

Higly recommended software for annotation. I searched almost all the available softwares on market..but unluckily no luck. It has all the features i was looking. Highly recommended for annotation....

Not gonna reduce my security standards to use this, use the built in authentication protocol so I can use your app.

Entered credentials numerous times but it will not connect, just hangs.

Very nice and useful one. Worth every penny. I have cloud plug-in but I do not see it work?! Lately some files open blank (or rather black). I have to close and remove them from the list and re-open to get them displayed. Annotations are sometimes in the way of navigations (or vice-versa), but still a pure 5-star app!

It hangs constantly, I don't know what's it even after several report noting changed. Really disappointed
