It works perfectly on my old S5 running android 6 but it does not work perfectly on my S8 running android v9. It remains connected to the WiFi but as soon as you go off the video feed screen (minimise the app, exit the app or even go into the app settings) then when you go back to the video feed it is no longer displaying the video. The wifi symbol changes to red to indicate the phone is no longer connected but it definitely still is. If I close F-Car and then use the "close all open apps" feature, then re-open F-Car and it works again. It's workable but not ideal.
I had a real difficult time trying to see if this device even worked. I have a Samsung s10, so I used an older phone to see if it would work. It worked just fine. My son-in-law use his phone, and it worked just fine. Can you please provide an update to use s10 s. I'm going to give you two stars at this time which could increase to three stars if the act actually worked with my phone.
I was wanting to use the camera as a rear veiw for my caravan.While the WiFi Connects ok there is a delay so would not be suitable to connect to reversing lights but ok to use as a rear view while driving. HOWEVER the image quality is very poor. I purchased a camera that was advertised as 1080p but only produces an image of 480p. While I can identify vehicles that are close it is very differcult to distinguish vehicles follwing on the highway.
Terrible software, just fitted this camera in the daughters car what a waste of money. Connections made direct to reverse lights, I expected the app to automatically start upon engaging reverse bit no nothing. I have to manually switch the app on, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Don't waste your money guys
App works but sometimes the video disappears and it goes back to the white F-car screen, I also have to totally close the app before it picks up the signal again, so i can't just exit the app and enter the app for the video to reappear. I have to close it completely and then reopen the app and the vid is there again.
Application for camera working very poor. Camera connected according to instruction but working only one time with back gear. When I changed gear to forward and after again used back gear application not started. I must "kill" application and start again !!. Distance range from camera to phone is 5m but I can see lagging !!. Samsung Note 9 in use. Please let me know if you are planning any software update ?
Could not use. On LG Volt it would display (after about 10 secs of startup) but eventually developed a large black square on the upper right of video. On MotoE4, it would connect but there was no video. Tried several times. Rating this app low and returning the camera.
The app needs work! Love the camera when it works. Reverse Lines are backwards. F app says forward facing. Product is rear view. Lots of good, but more bad. Should have been plug and play but it's not so simple.
Got this Wifi Cam today, and it hasn't connected to the Android phones not even once, It shows on thelist of the Wifi , but it keeps asking me for password and times out and have to start all over again, and the instruction doesn't even mention the requirement of a Password, Used the W-car app, the F, wasting my time nothing works.
Good app. Let's me keep an eye on my horses whilst in transit. Wifi does drop off / freezes for a few seconds, but then it re-connects. Would give it 5* if the intermittent drop off was resolved.
normal reverse cam turns on when you put a car in reverse gear, what you have on your screen stops & the reverse image takes over. Not with this app, it never turns on when put car in reverse(why the reverse wire then?) If U do put the car in reverse it loosed the image & it will come back when U take it out of reverse? but first U Search & click the app icon on your phone to get the image up. Then you need to exit the app to get it off your screen else it stays their🙏 update to work properly!
Work very good, but the only thing he doesn't open the wifi himself and make works the backup camera. I must all the time touch on the screen and select the wifi inside the app and then back to the app so can work. So please see how you can make the app pop-up the wifi correctly
App shutsdown randomly. The longest time has run is a little over 10 minutes. Pleas update..
No support what so ever. Has not been updated to be compatible with newer versions of the os.
does not work with android 9. And does not work with Android 4.4. Guys, which OS version you are supporting? ***** Developer responded immidiately! Thanks for that! 4.4 does not supported as so Old version. with Android 6.0.1 works fine. 5 stars.
upgrade needed for the app.. Currently i need to disable my mobile data then only video feeds are coming.Nobody has time for doing that...So Add these 2 features like when mobile connect to its camera wifi then automatically f-car app should start and show live video feed without disable mobile data even when phone is lock and app should close automatically when disconnect from wifi even phone lock. the gridline should be adjustable else it's in no use. I will change my rating after that
Would be good except that it disconnects and says to launch browser to connect. Dangerous to do while driving. Please fix this then I'll go to 5 stars.
Camera quality is fine with me the only problem im having is im not getting to share my vids it comes up as unsupported file .avi is there a way to change the file format
This app worked great until my phone upgraded to Android 9. Please make this app compatible with with android 9 or I'll just to send the camera back. Please fix and I'll change my review to 5 stars!
Very hit and miss with start up. You have to open the app everytime you want to use it.
For a free app. I have been pleased with how it works. It does the job. One recommendation would be, if it was possible to have a vertical flip option
Good app but like many of the other users who have commented I too think the ability to use it in portrait mode would be a great update idea.. Come on gavin558 I'm sure you can do it 😁😁😁
I tried it with a Moto G 1 gen. and it works fine without internet access. I didn't notice any sluggishness.
After multiple attempts to open after installation it keeps giving "app stopped".Reinstalling did not help. Worthless.
Works fine with ebay camera...would be nice if the superimposed lines were adjustable to match car size
It doesn't work if "mobile data" also ON :( very unconvinient, because I have to use GSM data for Navigator.
i just fet a black screen and no one on Earth seems to be able to help me and no app updates! NONE!
Nice app, there is no way I can flip it around, if I install the camera upside down the image is fine but then there is no adjustment to be made to see the road behind, and a back up camera looking up is not a use. Also the markings could be adjusted to fit the car. If the software allows me to flip the image it will be better. Also kind of slow connecting to the wifi so once I start the car I must wait like 1 minute for the wifi to be stablished and my Android phone to connect to it.
