Kudos on attempting to solve the problem of there not being a proper mainstream focal length or focal compression app for Android, but this application seems to merely zoom in. The key seems to be an algorithm that —in simplistic terms—does the opposite of a fish lens algorithm—of which, there's no shortage of apps. Thanks for trying. ✌️
Incorrect framing even with custom correction value. Test: Samsung S8, Nikon D5300 & Sigma 17-50 mm, long distance subjects. Case A) Set Nikon DX in the app: When app says 25, Sigma gives same photo at about 19. When app's at 50, Sigma's at about 45. Case B) Set correction value of 1230: 19 in app matches 19 on Sigma! But now app needs to be at 42 when Sigma's at 50. So, if the function is of the form f = ax + b, where a = 'correction value', both a and b need tweaking to get correct results.
Not accurate at all which is the entire point of the app. Tried it at 50mm in crop still had to back up more than ten feet.
Tried with a canon 5d mark iv and a 50mm lens. The sim app overshoots by qute a bit. Gives a wider angle than it should at 50mm. Please try and fix.
I just sent you a email with a photo, you can see the grid lines show up in Google Photos and photo Gallery, please check your email.
I did reinstall the app to make you sure this app is just a toy with many many ADs The app just can zoom and even don't have any other effect and somethings to get the better pictures! I can not thouch the screen to focus! You think this app has anything to enjoy! Even when im getting a picture I see an ad top of the screen 🤣😂🤣😂 Im asking people make this rating a good answer to the rude developer! Mr. Stang, be sure people are not stupid! I found so many better applications!!
Confuse the apc with full when i change focal lenght.
Useful, easy to use, accessible app
Does not start on my Xiaomi note 9 pro :(
It gets you close, but it's not accurate. It's out by about 10mm when I compare it to my Canon APS-C with 35mm lens. The aspect ratio of the photos seems not to be accurate either, so when you do manage to compensate for the innacuracy in one dimension, it is out even further on the other. I have set this app up correctly according to my camera's specs, so that is not the problem.
Good. Would be nice to have Micro Four Thirds as an option.
Inaccurate. I compared my FF Canon with a 35mm lens and this app at 35mm and they weren't even close. The app set at 43mm was about the same as the 35mm lens on my camera.
This is a good app for beginner photographers to get an idea about zoom of different lens.
The camera is rotated upside down...
Useless thing
It's trash. Picture quality is very low 👎
Best focal length sim! If only there are other sensor format option
That icon is gorgeous
Awesome idea, nice app! I have not verified the accuracy but I realize that achieving higher levels is one of the author's main target. The reason I downloaded the app is that I started using an old film camera and I wanted an image preview to take some selfies with it. Well, maybe including the simulation of old film cameras is not a priority for the author, but maybe the possibility of using the phone's front camera could be on the agenda. Thank you!
