F-Sim Space Shuttle
Each flight starts at either 10,000 feet, already aligned with the runway, or at up to 50,000 feet, before banking into the heading alignment cone. During descent, the Orbiter is an unpowered glider, so you will only have one chance to get it right. Astronauts used to call it a flying brick: because of its 200,000 lbs. gross weight and low lift over drag ratio, the approach is six times steeper and two times faster than a typical airliner approach. Landing the Orbiter takes practice, but the built-in autopilot demo and tutorials will get you started. After your first safe touchdown, chase that perfect landing, compare your high scores online with your friends, earn medals, and unlock achievements. Experiment with different weather conditions, night approaches, and even emergency scenarios or system failures. At the end of each flight, watch a replay from different camera angles.
You control the Orbiter’s pitch and roll axes by tilting your device. Alternatively, you may switch to on-screen analog sticks. Rudder, speed brake, gear, and chute are usually handled by the autopilot, but you can have full manual control if you like. For beginners, we’ve added rectangles that visualize the desired approach path. Simply try to stay within the corridor of rectangles, and they’ll guide you right to the touchdown point. Advanced pilots can turn them off and rely on the instruments in the head-up display (HUD) instead. The simulated guidance, navigation and control (GNC) systems are authentic replications of their counterparts in the real Orbiter, and the HUD features all the instruments real Space Shuttle commanders used to employ to skillfully land this unique aircraft. The app itself is worth 5 stars. It does not advertise any re-entry simulation. The problem is that the statistics function resets and does not keep a record of past flights. That's really important for an app like this. No update in over 5 years and I don't think I've seen one response to either compliments or concerns. I sent an email to the developer but got no response.
So glad you brought this back. The best shuttle landing sim. Feels realistic. It is tough but engaging and challenging time after time. Use the randomiser to get different landing scenarios. I find locking my elbows against the side of my chest helps to limit my movements to more precise adjustments.
Challenging and entertaining. The flight controls are tight. The video replay/flight analysis section provides a great deal of information. Helping and encouraging improvement. Multiple landing fields, approach and weather configurations, make each landing attempt unique.
It's a really great sim. Loved it. Just one problem which I'm having with the MAP to set the approach direction. And I feel we need to have more options with failures and guidance, I mean to remove it. Looking forward for the update. Hope I get it soon cause my friend told me there have been no updates for ages. Thank you
A fascinating insight into just how difficult it must have been to glide the shuttle in with no option of a 'go around'. Incredibly difficult to master, but thoroughly rewarding when you get a decent landing. Well done !
Great game but whole point of this game for me is to continue to beat my score and see how many perfect, good or safe landings I can do......cant do that when the statistics keep resetting! Fix this issue and will revisit my rating.
Firstly, from my perspective, this is a SIMULATOR - not so much a game. In that sense, you are privileged to have an experience, similar, to what a space shuttle pilot experienced during a landing procedure. The physics are absolutely spot-on.
I get serious when it comes to flight simulators and this is one of the most professional one yet that I've come across. It gives you a rare break from in app purchases and the price is well worth it. I highly recommend this flight simulator. I tip my hat to the developer for true to life design.
Still excellent... but ! Have recently come back to this game but my results seem to have been reset? Plus it's not storing results from each session so each day it starts fresh 🤬 Apart from that, still an excellent sim... but would love you to have included at least re-entry!
Looks like a glader but much heavier & more difficulty with plenty of weather, gust, wind & etc in it so the player can be trained well just like the real space shuttle pilot, an excellent simulation games ever made up !!!
Something definitely wrong with the last update. I've enjoyed playing this for years across a variety of devices, but on my new S21 Ultra the shuttle flies in at warp 8! It's virtually unplayable now.
Basic good graphics and challenging to get that perfect landing. Especially when you start dialling up the faults and the weather . Avery good simulation
2nd time ......unable to play "Unlicensed error" Iv paid for this app......now telling me i do not have licence and will not start. Can someone help.
The difficulty in making even a 1 star landing just shows how much training the actual flyers must be going through prior to sitting at the controls.... Superbly engrossing!
Sim was worth every second. Applies well to my multicopter flying. Ducted props, large elevation drops, keeps the airflow from reversing through the ducts. WORTHWHILE
I'm not an expert in aviation,although I find it interesting and far the best or the only "game " that you can simulate a flight!!! it worth the purchase.
I have only one problem and that is that it don't keep your stats! And you t calls a lot of good landings crashes!
Fun but easy. After third attempt after buying sim, leveled to 8. First attempt of full cone landing 3 star perfect landing. No challenge at all. Now level 10.
This is my favorite game app. I love the focus and graphics. If you need to set the world aside and enjoy some flight simulation escape, check this out!

Not working on s20+ My favorite way to waste 10 minutes has gone to pot since i upgraded my trusty old s9 for an s20, keep getting a message that etc compression package is required

DO NOT BUY! I wasted $5 just to land on a runaway in only 30 seconds?!? All this game is is you landing the ship. That's all. Just landing.
I designed part of the computer unit that drove the shuttle Heads Up Display when I worked for Kaiser Electronics in Silicon Valley. Love flying that HUD. The game is awesome!
Absolutely love playing this game it's great the only thing that I have to say is that if I have low battery at all then while playing the game my phone will warn me that my battery is low because it doesn't detect that I'm actively doing something. It would be great if the developer could do something to resolve this so that the screen does not try to fall asleep while trying to land a space shuttle it makes it a little bit more complex :)
