F-Stop Gallery

This app is now completely useless. I do not want to allow a photo viewer to have access to all files. The app refuses to function without total access. I used to really like this; it was my go-to photo viewer. I even bought the pro version. That was a waste of money. This app is now too intrusive to trust.

After today's update, unable to delete files in the gallery, otherwise was working great😥 Edit: After installing the latest APK, the app is working absolutely fine. Thanks Dev's, for finding a quick solution to the issue I faced earlier 👍

Now cannot change photo by swiping. Cannot send a photo to other apps with contact support msg. Good app but not that favorite yet as I need two-finger quick photo rotate like QuickPic.

Great app, although it has some quirky features, or perhaps, it doesn't have some features. Rounded corners on thumbnails and displaying folder titles below thumbnails instead of an overlay would enhance this app greatly. Both are available in other Seelye photo apps. Organizing with folders, sub folders, bookmarks and desktop shortcuts is great! Overall a great app to organize photos, images and videos, it does this much, much better than native OS and other photo apps. Pricey but a good app.

When I swipe through the media viewer, I anticipate to see files that are in the same folder and that still exist on my storage. Instead, I've found cached files mixed in and it's very annoying. They are useless to me, and make it hard to differentiate between what exists and what doesn't. The viewer also doesn't appear to have any organization such as alphabetization, and so what you get is a clustered mess.

This thing has'nt a basic recycle bin, have to pay for it, deletes pictures without permision, does'nt want want to rename picts

I have been enjoying this app, without needing any of the paid features. However, I don't know why I suddenly stopped being able to share videos to my Google Drive. I was able to upload videos up until maybe a week ago? It still works for photos, and I can upload the videos through other gallery apps so it's not my drive or anything.

The only reason I was interested was because of nested folders but the UI implementation is really unprofessional looking. When there is a folder without a picture inside it, it just shows as an ugly grey file folder image. Why don't you take a picture from one of the sub folders and and show that? Pick one at random maybe. This would look so much better.

Which folder to include and which not to include shall be a Seperate menu on top, menu given is complicated, unnecessary files are shown in gallary. Edit 4/3/2022 In response of developers comment. Yes that's the most important thing, people should be able to clearly understand abt some basic need they required. Menu is really complicated, though I give two more stars and giving 3 now. I hope you people will give some basic menus which a layman can also understand.

This app was so close to perfect. So many great features. But I have all my photos tagged (in the metadata) and during the initial import, all of the tags came through just fine. But then when I added photos later, it didn't add the tags, even though it is in the metadata of the file. I tried every combination of refreshing data and nothing worked. I tried "revert to metadata on disk" and it never did anything. Please help!

I searched for a long time for an app which can display file names and/or IPTC or EXIF fields as captions in a slide show, without detracting from the photos. This does an excellent job if you pay the small fee for the pro version and spend a little time exploring the extensive options available. Many thanks to the developers for a great app which does everything I need and more!

Does not work well on Android 11. - It works great on Android 10 or below. The latest version of F-Stop is not fully compatible with Android 11. It seems to be an issue reading the internal storage. Android 11 brought terrible unwanted changes, so this issue is not surprising. I have enjoyed this app for years before Android 11 came along. Hopefully this review will be helpful for improvements as soon as possible. Thank you.

Excellent gallery. Once you pay for the full version, I don't think there is another gallery with as many features as this one. However, the two features I like the most are, the ability to move pics, not only from one folder to another, but from just within any one folder. Has anyone ever wanted to place related pics right next to each other rather than have them placed anywhere at random? The other one is to have my deleted pics in a temporary bin, in case I want to retrieve any of them back.

The most versatile camera app available for Android. Nested folders, tagging, searchable photos, the ability to protect(encrypt) photos. Been using this app(pro) for a while now, it's never missed a beat and always done what I needed it to. The few times I've encounter bugs or issues they've been fixed almost immediately. Hats off to this app and it's developers.

Great gallery app, been using this app for years, I've also purchased the pro. My only concern and problem is when I transfer/copy all gallery to a new phone, as a result, images sorting get messed up! Even if I rearrange by date, same issue. Old and new images/videos are everywhere and not organized. I really hope to find a way to fix this issue.

ok, great app, cool features. There are a few things I think can be better, like adding the option to be able to access quick options like edit, rename, move, share, rotate, delete, details, on the bottom part of the screen, instead of the three dot menu icon at the top right considering most phones are really big and reaching that part of the screen can be crazy. Try to look for a way to make this work. This for me is the only reason I didn't rate this app 4.5. Cheers 🍻

This app can create meta tags that can be read in windows! This is precisely what I have been searching for. Not only does it create tags, it does so in an efficient way. For me, the gallery aspect is just icing on the cake. I tried using FastPhotoTagger for android, but the UI was slow. Been backing up my photos into dated folders including about 6 months of pictures, and make them searchable by tags. F-stop is a new must have for me. More gallery customization is always welcomed. Thank you!

One of the most frequently and satisfactorily updated applications I've ever used. Bugs are fixed extremely(!) promptly and I haven't encountered a new feature that didn't have a toggle to return it to the previous behavior if I didn't like it or it didn't play well with my phone. Also, its features are comprehensive and play nicely with IPTC tools. Sorting menus are available when using it as a photo picker for other applications... huge plus!

It's a great app, although it bothers me that I can't easily use it what I do the most with it: start a slideshow. Clicking the dots then look for "slideshow" is too difficult when I am in a hurry (and I need the slideshow as therapy). If we could change the default toolbar (where it has filter/ sort, things I never use), or have a gesture to "start slideshow on current directory", would be great. Thanks, regardless, it's a nice app, even if not for me anymore for now.

Love the UI, love the albums and nesting!! Love the ability to tag, however I've been unable to create my own tags - they fail to save. Work-around by using pre-existing tags, then editing. Not that big of a deal, but would rather it be less cumbersome. Love that you can link to cloud service, but need more cloud options: 5 stars when you add OneDrive and fix tagging. Overall, best gallery I've used.

Good app but needs some minor tweaks. The Editing grid that appears is white in color. When you are cropping a pic with a white background its impossible to see the cropping grid - because the grid is also white. Please change it to a color like deep purple or something so it remains visible on black or light backgrounds. Otherwise an excellent app :)

This used to be an amazing gallery app for me, the interface is really good and unlike Samsungs shows the photos in the right order. With good customisations too. But recently it won't load thumbnails even when the the cache has been emptied and refreshed. The phone just get really hot and nukes the battery life. Hopefully its just my phone. I'll try again with this app when I get a new one.

Decent but be careful, you can lose all your photos. I decided to delete a folder I'd just backed out of, but it decided to default to the main camera folder and deleted every pic on the phone. Went into the recycle bin, but that's just for looks and was empty. I'd rather not have an option to delete a folder if things like this are possible.

There's no way to customize which images are used for each folder's thumbnails, you can't even ask it to pick the 4 most recent photos in each album, it seems to pick them at random which to me is a glaring oversight when there's otherwise quite a lot of customization to be had in the app. Also apparently one of the only gallery apps that won't let you rotate images with two fingers.

Probably the best Gallery replacement apps on the Play Store, and I've tried a lot of them. This one has a lot of features, and doesn't have an excess amount of unecessary permissions. This app does have a explorer like interface if you go pro, and a true black mode for those with amoled screen to save battery. I really have no complaints about this app. go pro, it's worth the price, you won't regret it. Overall rating 5/5 stars.

Hi Team, Suddenly, few folders got deleted from the gallery. i was able to see them few days ago. i have neither changed any setting of the app nor deleted the folder manually. The folders which i had created are not present in the gallery, the default folders like camera, whatsapp images, videos and animated videos are still there. This is very weird. Can you please help.

Awesome app. One issue is the lack of the support for the biometric authentication. Another minor request is to choose different folder to exclude, e.g. when I chose a folder and hit exclude, there would be an option to choose its upper level folder to exclude. It'd be very useful to batch exclude on the fly a folder that contains hundreds of subfolders.
