F1 TV

The app works well on a phone, albeit a little slow to load videos. Via Chromecast though it's horrendous, it takes ages to connect, making you always late compared to the live broadcast, you can't change broadcasts or use any features while casting. Sometimes it just disconnects on its own. It's just terrible, this needs to be fixed, and we absolutely need to be able to use the advertised features we pay for through casting.

Almost perfect. Two problems : - "French" audio is actually belgian french. It makes a huge difference for us frenchies, so plz be precise about it. - Why no screen casting ? As a business traveler, I am quite often stuck in hotel rooms, and there is no point to call an app "-TV" if I cannot even cast it out of my phone...

Terrible app. Feed simply doesn't load. When I select a stream (live or not) it lags a lot, then the app freezes, and I have to reboot my phone (it's not old, a model from last year). I've not been able to watch a single race yet because of this on the app and I purchased a membership at the start of this year. When connecting to chromecast, the streams load a little better, but then you can't use the panels to switch between feeds. I'm paying money for this, it should work...

Really lacking in functionality. Continue watching should be a feature, documentaries and other series should be packed better to see clearly what is watched and what is next. The race and qualifying streams should be a continuous stream for the whole session so there is no need to start a new stream for the main event or postrace. All the above should be easy. Additionally, it would be nice if the multiscreen options could be time synced, on the home network for example, so all displays sync.

the shop is inconsistent, at times you can get the audio you want and other times you can't have it (with the same video). most options disappear when casting. sometimes the video stops and you have to start it over, it won't save position within the video... nothing to do with the content, that is very good

On my S20 ultra, all content regardless of what it is, buffers so often it's unwatchable. I did all I could to free up memory on my device, watch in lower quality, pick odd times to watch in order to avoid excessive traffic issues but still no real improvement. I don't dare try to watch live. It's a big disappointment as there is so much quality content.

Super buggy app, bringing a really bad reputation to a class brand like F1. Need to sign in to the app every time - cannot save details. App hardly ever launches, gets stuck at the welcome screen. When this happens, browser video is not supported on devices so can't even stream over the website. Has not been updated or improved in years. With multiple camera angles etc it has huge potential but unfortunately doesn't seem to be a priority.

I have a problem when I watch with chrome cast and I want to jump forward or backward for some reason it goes back to a certain time point which is really annoying, so if I don't know where I was I now need to manually move the ball and hope I get close to where I was. Also apparently when an update is live YOU HAVE TO DOWNLOAD IT RIGHT NOW! Or you can not use the app which I find dumb. Also it peromted me to review the app, which is imo really annoying and pushy. Also captions don't really work

The App looks slick, but is just annoying at times. I get Video ads despite paying for the subscription! Why? During the ad you cannot set the video to Fullscreen or start casting to another device, which makes it even more annoying. Also at least at with one update the app lost the login Information, having to login again for no apparent reason.

You can watch F1, but that is it. The app fails miserably when trying to cast to a screen or when you stop casting. When this happens the app jumps to live moment. This already ruined 3 races this season. The way I see it the default are reverted. I would rather have that the app to the beginning of the video instead of the live moment of the video. This should be fixed as at the moment I would not recommend to use this app for anybody to rewatch formula 1.

This is the best app! Runs incredibly smoothly with absolutely no lag. if you are an F1 fan, by far the best in order to keep you up to date with everything going on and get to rewatch, know the schedule.if practices, qualifying and the race that is automatically set to your specific time zone etc. 100% recommend.

Very bad app, very annoying to contact support and have issues resolved and selecting some options in app just leads to a perpetually loading screen. F1 has got to do better than this for all the technology that they employ. Should be less than 1 star if you guys are happy with this. The app keeps sticking when casting to my TV. FIX THE CHROMECAST FREEZING PROBLEM PLEASEEEEE! JEEZ

TERRIBLE laggy experience. Edit: still doesn't work on my Realme phone. It screws up all playback functions even on other apps. If I try to play anything on this app, my whole phone stops working. I can't play YouTube, or Instagram videos, or anything until I reboot. It's so frustrating to not be able to get a service I'm paying for.

Currently frustrated. Several sessions this year have had the audio feed dip in and out - it is enough to make a person crazy. Amazing content before the audio glitch of 2022. The current version will also freeze and force re-boot. The "freeze&reboot" often seems random but for me it seems that when/if you disrupt the feed you're flipping a freeze-coin. Disrupt meaning: forward, reverse, pause, and any app that auto pauses or minimizes the app.

Managad to break it even more, right before Miami. Absolutely Useless. Can't change streams, audio dropping out, streams restarting. Old ->Video player hard to control and moves around with every touch. If you leave the app the check a message or something it all restarts when you reopen the app, and then it's so hard to use the slider to find your place again.Same with the web player. If you pause for than a few seconds it doesn't resume but exits and you have to restart.Such basic stuff.

The quality of the experience is awful. Every other live stream video app allows picture in picture mode, so that you can keep watching while doing other things on your phone. Not F1 TV, no. That makes the app pretty useless, and needs to be added ASAP.

Update: the app worked great for 2021 season. No complaints. So far for 2022, the app freezes constantly & I'm forced to close the app when trying to fast forward or reverse on the time bar. 2020- I'm not too happy so far this year with the app. I kept getting errors during the first race and missed first 10-15 min of the race. I somehow got it to work but still wasn't @ 100%. The picture wasn't coming thru crystal clear like it usually does. Seems the engineers still have much work to do!

I was very skeptical of paying for the app, with all the negative and 1 star reviews, but it works seamlessly. I started on a one month pricing plan to make sure it worked and despite all the reviews about not working and freezing etc. I have had no issues. For the price, you would expect more features but it does exactly what i need it to do! Edit (1 year later): the app was updated and removed air play functionality. They also removed being allowed to log in on two devices (one for stats).

Update 2022: a new season same disappointment. I'm not talking about minor features of the app. The video player freezes and crashes when you try to fast forward or backwards while watching the race. That's the base functionality of this app, and in three years they still can't get it right. And we still have to pay 100+ dollars of subscription fees, for not being able to watch ONE qual or race even without restarting the app 10 times.

Please fix the following bugs: 1. It has trouble connecting when phone is connected to wifi. It defeats the point of being able to cast to your tv if you cant even stream while connected to the same network. 2. Please get more servers or something. The quality drops when watching a race live and sometimes just doesnt want to play at all. This app makes a lot of money. Im pretty sire investing a little bit in proper software and infrastructure will go a long way in upping the rating

As a huge F1 fan along with my wife, we find the app extremely frustrating. The app never lets us start a live race from the beginning, in spite of selecting the option, and ruined who won the Gran Prixes for two races. Boo! The driver cameras work approximately 10% of the time. Good luck changing driver's streams too. Most of the app's features do not work at all or correctly. Then, the app crashes without warning often! The content is phenomenal. The app is a total mess. Fix this mess F1.

This is consistently the most frustrating app I've ever used. If it was free that would be one thing, but to pay for this?! It signs me out regularly, tells me my email address is invalid as soon as you type any characters and won't let me in. This season it won't let me toggle between views while using Chromecast. You'll be watching and suddenly "sorry something went wrong" and takes you back to the beginning so you have to guess where you left off.

I mirror the opinions of others here. The content is fantastic. I cannot deny that, but the app is awful. Constantly crashes. So bad in fact that sometimes it crashes my phone. Best way to run this app is have it be the only one running. Stay on either wifi or mobile data. Don't try and switch. Ever. If it starts buffering, just be patient. It MAY yet come back to life. 1 star for horrible app. 1 star extra for the content being awesome.

The app is definitely getting better. It still lacks features like simply keeping you logged into your account, requiring you to login most times, Casting to TVs, and background playing like YouTube and Netflix have...but its definitely getting better. The choices of what to watch when watching a race (different commentary and onboards), 10 second navigation arrows, more clear menus and more. It's definitely getting better. It would be nice if it was already great, but its a step up

Video slider bar (bottom of screen) always crashes app. This is unacceptable if the only other way to skip ahead is 10 seconds at a time. The multi-channel features are brilliant, but sadly spoiled by some basic problems. F1 fix this soon, you are better than this! To add insult to injury, when screen cast is interrupted then the video position is lost, so you're back at the beginning, with many 10 second skips to get back to your last position in playback.
