As a fabricator of 45+ years, the last 30 or so as the workshop manager, I have constantly used trigonometry etc. to calculate cones, segmental bends and much more. Nowadays I am constantly asked by the fabricators to calculate developed lengths etc. to save them the time and effort of laying it out. I have developed this app so that they can do it for themselves and therefore save “MY TIME”. The Fabricators Handbook is a collection of apps useful to the experienced fabricator and novice. Various pipe and cone developing app for wraps and plate. Tables for flanges, tube schedules, elbows and tees, as well as metric and unc drilling / tapping sizes. Calculators include, Angle Calculators to enable the fabricator to layout accurately small or large fabrications, Pitch Calculator for PCD's and straight pitches, Diameter and Circumference calculator for working out the required developed length for rolling and a Bisecting Chord calculator that works out the inside or outside radius of an object using a straight edge and a ruler. How to examples are available where needed. I hope that from your feedback/comments I will be able to add extra relevant features and amendments in future editions.

Incredibly useful app! Thanks very much for it. Question: When I dock my Lenovo Smart ALEXA tablet and launch fabricators handbook,it puts the tablet into portrait mode. Even the apps that were launched in landscape mode become portrait orientation. I've tried everything to fix this. Any help is appreciated it. Thanks, Jp
Nice app. However I've noticed discrepancies in results for truncated cone in this app and the stand alone cone developer app by same developer. Same cone parameters give different results in both apps. Thanks for your response.
Great app. Would be nice if you can add sizes up to DN600 to bigger. An option to print or email developed shape would be better
This is the best app ive seen in a long time .... been in a fabrication shop for thirteen years now...only on guy knows this kind of layout, and won't show any of us younger guys....thank you so much!!!! Very useful!!!
Been a structural plate fitter/welder for 22 yrs and honestly there's so much we forget from trade school and this gets us outta a bind pretty quick. Thanks. Im old school so I never really carried smart phones or grew up with them like the younger guys but I keep a tablet in my toolbox now
Sir, the app is very good but needs a white background so everything can be visible more clearly. Drg & font of drgs are need to be sharp edges.

Excellent ! But looking for more items ie. a trapezoid etc.
Tubing and pipe are different. Your app interchanges the words tube and pipe.
Great info to have when you've inhaled to much metal or sawdust!!

Please add print option for templates. Why bother using your app if I still have to hand jamb the template
Would have been a 5 with a print option. Also bar to psi doesn't appear to be correct

I have been out of the engineering profession for a few years and have moved cross country. Of course something had to get lost. All my professional reference books for engineering, statistics and law books ended up missing, so imagine my surprise to see one of the best engineering ever in the Google Play Store??? 🙂 We used to pay top dollar for this and other engineering books back 20 years ago, so to have it available online is amazing. Glad I saw the app before I bought it again. Great book!
