Get out of your rut! This is a great app to find things to do! The app takes events from Facebook and combines them all in one app, easy to use and interact with. I love the calendar feature! Find paint nights, bars, bands, workshops, classes, restaurants and anything that has been created as a public event on Facebook. We've filled several weekends with activities in the mornings and evenings. Great way to break the mold and find something fun to do.

Has potential but some bugs still need to be worked out. Every time I first open the app, I see a blank frozen screen and have to force quit to get it functioning properly. It would also be much more useful as a calendar if the event reminders were sent earlier than the day/time of the event. I want to like it and use it as a single alternative to Facebook, but it's still got a ways to go...

this is a really nice app for finding events. easy to use. you can search pretty much anywhere to find events. great if you're new in town, or traveling. it uses way to much background data however. almost half a gig a month! the listing are often incomplete, or the map links don't work properly. it would be nice to have access to venues, not just events also. not bad FaceBook. please make it more data friendly. I'm going to have to delete it just because of the data issue. bummer.

The concept of the app is great! I would give it 5 stars, but there's one major flaw. When I select a date to view events, it still shows me events from other days, including events from the day before where it's physically impossible to even go to! If I wanted to look at events for other days, I would select those dates! Common sense. It just gets very annoying.

Update has rendered the app mostly useless. Calendar function and notification bar was great and now have been taken away. I would think the calendar is more important to people than the map - at least that's how it is for me - and yet the map is centre stage. Ditch the map and bring back calendar. Make it easier for people to see their invites especially new ones.

I used to love this app, but the redesign made it clunky and useless. I don't use it anymore. The calendar view is gone and the map is always visible/in the background. Less available space for information, which means you need to scroll around a lot. Hard to search for specific events, the results aren't often correct. You can no longer view event discussions and the app sends you back to Facebook, which defeats the point of this app. I am just using the web event page instead now.

**UPDATE: It appears this app is no longer supported. Nothing but a map and an error message show on open.** It's nice to be able to see events outside of Facebook, but it has bugs. Typing is glitchy. It doesn't automatically capitalize, space after punctuation, or other defaults. You have to hit space 3 times after each word to get it to work. It would be nice to have control of alerts. There's no notification settings in the app. I don't need a daily guide, but I would like to see new invites.

Great for those that want to stop mindlessly scrolling their newsfeed but don't want to miss out on hearing about events. Unfortunately the app has several major issues: -Plays sounds even when my phone is on silent (edit: this may have been fixed as I haven't noticed it for a while) -Pinned posts in events do not show up at all. -Crashes/freeze on start up. I have to force-close, then re-open for the app to work at all. -Push notifications are intermittent - seem to require the app to be open

Thanks for messing up a perfectly good app. As others mentioned, the dates function is all messed up, and the geographical interface is all messed up; but to be fair, the geographical part never worked well from previous versions of the app. But now the app is just trash. Please allow us to view local stuff or events in the actual Facebook app like before, but do some basic testing and stuff outside of LA or NYC to make sure interface works.

This app *could* be brilliant for discovering what to do, when at home, when you've just moved, when you are on holiday and especially when visiting another city. However the app is very unstable and hangs a lot. It just randomly freezes all the time on my Pixel 2. Empty screens. Back button unresponsive. Not exactly engineered to the same standards as most other Facebook products. Curious. I've tried this app about a year ago and it was just as buggy back then as it is today.

I love the concept, the only thing I really use the facebook app for anymore is to keep tabs on events so this was the perfect excuse to finally get rid of Facebook on my phone. I can't stress how badly I wanted this app to work but I've only been able to use it once since installing, it has consistently crashed within 5 seconds of opening the app. I really hope they fix these serious technical issues so I can give the 5 star rating I so desperately want to give.

I'm literally saddened to give this app a 1 star review as it was one of my most used and vitall apps before the last update. Now I've lost any notification icon, I've lost the calendar (that I used daily, if not hourly), and I've lost and ability to find a reason to even open the app any longer. This redesign must be an attempt towards something, but what that is I cannot figure. This app is literally, and I do mean literally, useless to me now. Hopefully this experiment will end soon.

This app is the worst. The search does not work together with filters which makes it useless. If I don't filter, it just gives me irrelevant results. I tried to search for jazz concerts and it gives me Christmas Markets and Malls. I can't search for a keyword and then just choose if I want an event or maybe a type of place, I can just pick pick from a dropdown of things and suggested stuff which is never what I need. Horrible and useless.

this app is great when it works. everytime i load it, the app just hangs at the initial screen. the only time it works is after i clear the cache and memory storage. there is no way a normal user would ever figure that out. ive waited over over a year to see if any of the updates would fix this. happened on my galaxy S7 and now my S9

i love the idea of this app, but the execution was pretty bad. the app is slow and buggy, and irs frustrating to use. when i get notifications for an event i was invited to, it just slowly opens a blank screen and I have to kill the app. again, love the idea, but i still have to do most everything in the Facebook app because Local just isn't there yet

It has a lot of bugs in it. Half the time you can't see all the information, especially if they put a link in the description. Sometimes it will lead you to the facebook website instead of interfacing inside the app. Currently it's not pulling any events. No way to sync events with your calendar either.

Convenient, useful app. In my opinion there MUST BE an option in menu to " remove the item/ don't show the event/ ignore" Hey! Sometimes I see the intensive EVERY DAY in my list despite of I surely skip it. So it trashes the list, distracts the attention.So I wish unwelcome events dissapear from the list in 1 click ! Dear Developers, please add this option in menu in the next update!

I really want to like this app, it has a great setup and is a great concept but unfortunatel a big let down is the fact that it never loads first go, i always have to exit the app, close it and then open it again and sometimes 2 or three times. i run android so i dont know if it is that but it is pretty ridiculous. one option that i would love to see from the app is that i can copy lists of people who are coming so i can paste them somewhere online for doorl lists too, just an idea.

No option to integrate the responded Event dates with phone's default Calendar or Reminder app to get alert on due time is available from this app's interface. This is NOT USER-FRIENDLY at all in contrast to the present day scenarios. With the look of a very old and plain UI, this app comes with very limited functionality. Review done from using Samsung OneUI 2.0 on Android 10.

- Under the "Today" tab, it shows events happening IN THE FUTURE. Same ones again & again. Maddening. - When I click "Interested" in an event, the star goes red but I get NO FURTHER REMINDERS or notices of the event. So why bother? - Would be GREAT to have a Google calendar API that offers to place events clicked "Interested" in a user's calendar!! I'm a UI/UX designer. I struggle with planning weekends & remembering events, but am disappointed so far.

One thing I really don't like about this app is that if I search for a specific event BY NAME, it doesn't even find it in the search, if I don't have the right city/town selected. & Sometimes I know the general area, but am not sure of the exact town to search in. Where is the "xx mile radius" feature?? This is a sorely lacking function of this app. Sad face.

Here is the problem... If you live somewhere like Los Angeles that is made of tiny cities within a larger county then you literally have to search each city one by one. You cannot search, for example, within a 20 miles radius of where you live. No you have to type in every freaking zip code from all the surrounding cities and do a separate search for each city. It is ridiculous and not well thought out at all. It has made it so I just stop using FB events all together and use other apps

Discontinued the only useful Facebook app. No reason to keep Facebook now. | Original: I love the app and the concept is great, but performance continues to disappoint. Doesn't feel optimized. UPDATED EDIT: for months now it doesn't show all my saved events. Serious fault. Please sort it. Have uninstalled and reinstalled lots of times to no avail. ORIGINAL was 5Star rating. APPsolutely recommended 4 experiences + to get out there + grow your life. U can search anywhere for whats on + also just explore any area. Calendar + events on maps is great.

It needs to be updated. It worked at first, but now I just get a blank screen when I open it. Absolutely nothing is displayed except for the skeleton of the app; my login button, the search bar, the star and other buttons on the bottom are there, but when I click them.. nothing happens. Update your app and ill update my review.

The app itself is great but the execution is very hit or miss. The app consistently freezes or doesn't load. One specific bug is when I try to view my local guide list that I made and i have to force close the app. It does get tedious and annoying when I just want to view the guide I made but can't even access 😕

With the latest update, they took away the calendar feature, so know you have to scroll, and, scroll, and scroll to see your upcoming events rather than clicking on a specific date. The calendar feature made it easy to plan your day. Not liking this update and may be deleting.

So far all that happens is that I get a notification and when I view it everything locks up. Facebook itself is much more useful. Having read all the other reviews I'd agree with them. It doesn't capitalise new sentences, doesn't show all local events and therefore is pretty pointless. uninstalling.

This used to be a great app which I used quite often. Now it's useless. It gets to the welcome screen and then stops. I can look at the welcome screen for ages and nothing changes. Totally exasperating and annoying. Please repair this and restore it to the great app it was.
