I put in 3 month and tried my best to use Facile Things. The GTD integration is perfect in theory but the execution of the app and website is clunky and extremely slow, which makes everything almost impossible to use or trust. Please hire some really good developers and make this thing happen. Your ideas are great. But I don't have any trust for the app or web app which renders the whole system obsolete. The new app version 3 is even slower and harder to use.
Can't sync with the server. And if you can't rely on your task manager app, the value of the whole product is questionable. Have to use desktop version alone. P.S. I'm the paying customer with 1 year subscription. UPDATE. The bug was resolved!
Great GTD implementation, but misses the 5th star due to less than ideal UI. No widgets, no "share to" feature, makes it a little inconvenient to capture stuff.
Unfortunately not usable, not saving partially, no transition from capture to project. Very good start and first impress. Please notify if you move forward
No other solution walks you through the 5 Phases of the GTD workflow like version 2.3.5. If you have tried FacileThings in the past and experienced trouble, try it now. Development continues on the mobile app that will make FacileThings 2 invaluable for stress free productivity.
The pricetag for this application is too high for what it delivers. If you cancel your prepaid account, it will lock you out. Signing back in will RESUME YOUR SUBSCRIPTION. Devious business practice, steer clear.
Great GTD implementation, BUT without a proper App synchronisation it has become a pain to use.
App won't open at all...uninstalled and installed several times and get nothing but a blank page
The good thing about it is that it clearly applies GTD concept One important thing missed here which I hope it get addded soon, a feature to ORDER tasks in the next actions category
Love the addition of the Engage page!
Finally an platform that faithfully lets me GTD and integrates properly with Evernote
I like this app. It's web version is better than mobile app. GTD setup is fully implemented in web version. Many bugs to be fixed though. It seems Developer is interested in developing it into one of the best GTD apps. Currently I use zendone. I am very happy with zendone. I will continue to try & test this app.
Superb implementation of the GTD method!
Why is the password input field limits to 12 characters while there's no limit on the web app? I can't login because of this and I'm not changing my password to 12 characters. Fix the app and I'll update my feedback once I could use it.
App won't load. Just spins. This has been the behavior for over a month.
$84 yearly subscription (or more if you buy in smaller amounts of time)
Brilliant implementation of GTD - I've tried dozens, and this is the best. But...if you don't like GTD, steer clear.
Ever since the upgrade to 2.2, the app just stopped working. I uninstalled and reinstalled, to no avail. Please fix. Update: I was informed by the support team that I should uninstall, restart my phone, and reinstall the app to solve this issue, and that seemed to have solved the problem.
App update is an improvement but everything I open it I have to log in. That's frustrating.
Paid for & LOVED this app until update - now won't load. Just blank white screen. PLEASE SORT IT OUT!
I use the website and like that, but the app is not usable if it doesn't stay logged in. Back to Evernote for collection.
Widget of next actions would be great. Also widget for quick collection. Processing is not convenient. Overall it is a good app.
Great app to compliment the web version. Nice enhancements recently too. Keep up the good work!
There is a TON of good articles on their website- seriously, thousands of very detailed words written- they spent time on their site! It took me a little while to wrap my head around how the website works, but now that I have it down, their thought process behind this app is exactly how I think. The app is a good compliment to the website app, but the website is the JAM!
...you can't create projects in Android app thus processing inbox is next to impossible. FT itself is a best system I've ever seen and I've tried so many of them. 😊 --- Hopefully this minor but super annoyingly missing feature is implemented soon. I'ts 5 stars then. 😯 --- I'm a bit unfair with my rating as the system is really good. I just hate that I need to open my laptop for processing and I cannot do it on the go... ðŸ˜
I have used many GTD related apps over the years, from Omnifocus to doit.im and Facilethings is the best so far. It manages to faithfully implement a full GTD methodology with a very simple and elegant user interface. The integration with Evernote, Google drive, Dropbox for reference materials to support projects is excellent. I whole hearted recommend every GTD fans to give Facilethings a try. You will will love it, just as I do. (Added 10/16/2006: The review above us mostly for its web app)
It only allows me to log in
It helps to carry out the right working flux
Useful, along with the full app, but disappointed to not be able to see tasks that are part of projects in the app. Otherwise, surprised at lack of options for initial view, and to order tasks. Great though for capture and processing on the fly.
I keep waiting for someone to do a GTD app right and was pleased to see a new entrant aiming to do just that, but FacileThings despite its price is a huge disappointment. Just doing basic things results in frustration. For example, I want to create a goal and then associate a task with the goal. There's a place in the task to add a goal, but where do I create the goal to be able to add it? And I got that drop-down to work only once. Every other time I go to that screen, it's just grayed out and non-functional (a bug, evidently). And the inbox system is horrible! The whole idea is that you want to stay focused on what your doing, but when you add something to your inbox, the app takes you away from whatever task or project screen you were on and to the "Collect" list, so that you then have to navigate back to where you were! These are just two examples. It's really just a horrible experience altogether.
