This free version of the app is intended to give you an idea of what working with the full version is like. It enables you to export your work to your Dropbox account, and import scripts as read-only.
Upgrade to the full, paid version of Fade In Mobile to import your work from the full or demo desktop version of Fade In Professional Screenwriting Software (including imported PDF and Final Draft scripts) and to work on an unlimited number of screenplays at once.
When upgrading to the full version, first export your work to your Dropbox account. Note that this free version allows read-only import.

Can't sign in on mobile. I can't recover from my computer to my phone. Pointless app. Even in full version I can't recover my screenplay I started. Beyond mad! You have to have it saved on each device you use. Well I can't carry a laptop everywhere. Please fix this. Lost my work, because I didn't save to google. I thought you could just sign in, but my computer did an update and I lost my work. SHAME ON THIS APP!

There's a bug where the words that I type aren't showing up in the text. Please fix
Horrible. Very little stability in terms of control over the screen. Type, and you can't see what you type. Highlited, tried to hit back, everything highlighted now gone. Navigated away and back, hoping it didn't save. The app saved the error instead of starting where I was last. Thanks for that half hour I can't get back. Uninstalling.
So, it's in the title, it's a very basic app. The top reviews for this app are not wrong but I think I figured out what the issue was. When you make a document, you need to tap the "FADE IN:" that has already been written for you in the document. If you click in the spot below, it has a weird box which won't let you type anything. I think that should be changed but once you realize what's up, the app is actually functional.
Doesn't work with bluetooth keyboards! WHY? So many BAD reviews about the paid version, I'm very uncertain about paying for it. I paid for desktop version and it works great. But this mobile version seems like there's a ton of complaints and the developers don't seem to be addressing any of the mobile issues. Now if you fix all the issues, you'll have a winner for certain! What are you waiting for?
Downloaded the new version 4/16/19. all cloud integration is broken. I authorize dropbox or Google drive and then they never move past a loading screen. I waited 5 minutes, reinstalled, and tried 3 different android phones. a note9, a galaxy so. and a moto x4. all the same, none worked. the only reason I wanted this was to test cloud integration for my face in laptop software. big failure there.
UPDATE: JUST got a reply from Fade in 6 months later, & the reply is as bad as their app and software. Got FINAL DRAFT, & great customer service to go with it. ORIGINAL POST- I don't understand how 7 pages can be the end ,when it is a script! Per customer service ,that can only be reached by email, and whose less than concerning replies , is the reason for my not being able to get passed SEVEN pages for a SCRIPT!! WOW! That is totally misleading. I will be switching to Final draft immediately
Used to like it last year. But lately it lags like hell. The cursor doesn't move for ages. Erasing a word takes five whole minutes. Initially I thought it was my phone's fault. But I have the same issues on the new device. Really disappointed. Used to like this app.
Started off loving this until I got a few m paragraphs into my script and the app is glitchy. I start to type and it jumps all around the text like it's searching for something. No matter I did, it would not stop doing this. Rendering this completely useless on every level. Uninstalled. Waste of time.
This is a very useful and easy to use program. I recommend it for anyone trying to start screenwriting. My only issues are that it could work more like the computer program and that when I try to type sometimes it will scroll upwards uncontrollably and I won't be able to write properly.
Love the desktop app, but mobile is VERY buggy. Constant save errors. Formatting changes don't stick. The keyboard randomly shuts when switching from Action to Dialogue. And the settings menu doesn't adapt to the size of your screen.
Not working on my Huawei p20 pro. Doc opens but just stats blank when I type... I have the PC vers of the app, but this is disappointing. Would love to buy the paid mobile vers, but not going to if its gonna be like the free one. Since got it working. Really should remove that grey bar when the document opens. Hoping it integrates well with full PC app.
Fundamentally a good mobile screenwriting tool, but so buggy as to be almost unusable. There is no way in hell I would pay for the full version if this app is any indication of it's quality. If it worked as intended it could likely earn 5 stars. Disappointing
First time using it was really good, I liked that it was provided a guide on how to write a script. However, it doesn't let you save the archive in a more accessible format, like pdf or even plain text. Now, after the update, what I write doesn't appear.
Every time I try to import my fade in files, it would just show a blank screen and once I downloaded the saved file and opened it in fade in, I couldn't edit it at all....if I could, I would give it no stars 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

The app will not open any folders or files either on my local phone or anywhere else. Worthless. I paid for the pro version. Trying to get refund and use anything else
Nice app! I wish the Mobile version would work (it terribly hangs!😡😡) on my Android device and give me the satisfaction I crave! Thanks though for this Basic!💥💥🔥🔥

Doesn't work on Android, Samsung Note. The boxes with scene tags are a great idea and why I tried downloading it, but nothing shows up when you type. Very glitchy. A shame.
On the basic version Am I able to write a full length screenplay or will it not support that much?.. just curious. & Also if I was to pay for paid version and then get new phone later, do I have to repay for it or is there some kind of pass word that lets ya log in on a new phone?...
I can be on my 15th page I'll type and it trolls me back to page one. I would love for you to fix the issue but the company may not have a lot of funds to fix it so....... all these apps are so frustrating 😔
I enjoyed the app while I was writing BUT please, my work is stuck in the app. I tried to use the 'copy' option but it is not doing anything. I can't copy and paste, I can't share, I can't do ANYTHING. Please I need to send my work for editing and I can't.
Not bad for free, if you know what you're doing. Add scene numbering capabilities, you'd have 6 out of 5 stars.(like that's possible.)
After writing about 30 scenes it start giving me a save error, i can no longer save my work... Very anoying
best script writing apps
I tried writing in Geez scripts, but nothing is coming on the screen. I even tried using latin scripts, to no avail! Ain't this support scripting in other languages?
It is good I gave 4 stars because it only allow English language, and if it is more comfortable with other languages I would gladly give 5 stars
***BEWARE***The software is beyond terrible. I downloaded the software for my chromebook. It uses a Linux component and it will suddenly shut down on you in the middle of writing. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! I even reach out to the techincal support for the past 7 months and no answer how to solve it. If I could screenshot the conversation, basically telling me that they have issues with Linux/ Chromebook. Do yourself a favor and switch to Final Draft. Well worth the cost. The mobile app is worst.
