Fake Device Test
Many tablets being sold on Ebay, and especially coming from China have a modified operating system installed on them that reports fake/inflated specifications. This is being done so that the people who bought them won't know they have been scammed. This application was created to help protect people from this fraud by exposing these devices and showing their true specifications.
The included Full SD Memory Test will identify defective and fake External SD cards. This test is more thorough than other SD memory testing apps because it verifies that every bit in the SD card's free memory space can be both set and cleared. We do this with two passes of test data which can not be compressed. These two passes will set, clear, and verify that every bit is fully functional. Apps performing only a single pass test are only testing half the memory bit states (either set or cleared), and therefore are only 50% accurate and reliable. Running a single pass test app multiple times will still not verify all the memory bit states, because the test data must be specially formulated to set and clear each bit in the memory. Our test does this and is 100% accurate and reliable.

Great test of a tablet from wish. Most all of the numbers were greatly exagerated. Now if I can find an app to fix the numbers so the tablet is accurate and usable.
Even though the app is not good for my device, still a 5-star rate for being able to reply on customer support.

This app is very useful to check your CPU, internal storage, and external SD card. It also provide full modes to inspect more precisely. But the Internal SD Full Memory Test can't finish on Android 9 because Android stops the app to prevent the storage out of space. I successfully tested it on Android 7. Hope the author update the app soon. Update 2019/08/24: the author has released a new version to fix this bug. It works now. Great. 5 stars!
Bought a suspiciously cheap 1TB micro SD online and ran through it with this app. The space verification test, which runs immediately , indicated card was reporting the read write speed and capacity correctly. However, full memory test yielded hundreds of thousands of errors after only about 100GBb tested. This is a very useful app. I would only recommend giving 10% ,25% test options which will run much faster as an added improvement to an already great app. 5 stars dev's responsiveness too!
Bought a 10" car radio on eBay for $110, description said it was Android 8.1, 2G of RAM, 32G storage, and a 1.3Ghz CPU (Box and even the "System Info" Menu on the radio software said the same). Your software showed it was actually Android 6 (high lighted in red and everything) and that it was only 1G of RAM and a 1.1Ghz CPU (Not sure why they weren't red, maybe the OS wasn't hacked, just the about section, but it did report the correct specs). Thanks for helping me not get ripped off! Emailing now about refund/return options.
Wow! Just wow! This app is great! Locating each specifications of mobile phones is actually very confusing - and most phones today didn't display the real or sometimes the data doesn't really equal to its real specs. Moreover - this app is brilliant: it's really helpful because it reports my available space and my RAM - and most of tech stuffs. Thanks!
Although it doesn't have the fanciest interface, it is very comprehensive. It successfully validated the SD card that I bought on ebay. It took ages on my cheap tablet, but that's the tradeoff for using a bottom of the range device.
A great application. It would be nice to count the core numbers some way, for example starting threads incrementally, and checking how the computing power increases. Also a real memory allocation test would show real capacities. unfortunately, my tab reports 4g ram, howewer has an 1g ram chip only. also, the soc has 4 cores, howewer linux reports 8 somehow. so these should be tested, not relying on what the os reports.
Bought a tablet online claiming to be android 9, when most others can barely get beyond android 4.4/5.1 Noticed it launched with older android splashscreen initially then switched to newer one. About showed android 9. Tested it for rooting, when I saw kernel version showed root@twd-29, but the root test app confirmed it wasn't rooted. Noticed several apps wouldn't install and many more crashed. Also started to question whether it really had the RAM/ROM advertized. So then tried this app and it spotted the hoax immediately, identifying it as android 5.x false identifying as android 9. I was not at all surprised, except that the RAM/ROM were actually true, and the CPU bench-marked at 3000+, so goodness knows why it ran slowly. But kudos to this developer. A useful tools that needs more awareness. Thank you so much. Refund pending with supplier, who was not happy to be caught out.
Awesome app, but I would suggest to add camera test, information about the megapixel of camera, because some are being scammed thinking the phone got quality resolution on camera, I know the is screen resolution, but I would be handy to include camera and sensors test, Finger print, all other important sensors, once all that added, your app will be the best of the best. Entlek better, the mention above fixtures could be made available for premium membership, in that way you will get something.
I bought a cheap imported POS tablet running android 9.0 with 8gb ram and 500gb storage. Wouldn't load or run apps (not compatible) that I had been running on my 4yr old phone. In just one scan I saw what I already knew the actual android was 4.x and the memory available was 5gb only 3% of advertised. When buying if it looks too good to be true..... get this app!
Great app, think it's the only app that genuinely seems to check the validity of the hardware. I just purchased a renewed phone for a price that could easily be a scam. I checked the phone's IMEI number through some site, where it claims this device is only a 128GB phone. This app agreed with the seller that it is 512GB so I wasn't sure. Then I contacted Samsung directly who confirmed my device is indeed 512GB. The app is super accurate! Think everyone should use this to confirm their purchases.
Download this app to test OTG flash drive. Unfortunately the app does not detect the external drive plugged into my phone. Tried a few times but external drive not detected. Uninstalling and will look for others. Albeit this works verifying my internal drive capacity and screen resolution of my phone.
Absolutely outstanding application, do not bother with other similar apps because this particular one does everything from chipset benchmark test to detection of a counterfeit sd card (or phone chipset/memory or specs) even if the firmware has been compromised to show brand names or false specs! I didn't see any adds except on screen, very good tool to keep in your device and this is coming from someone who doesn't toss around a lot of easy praise! If I could give Double five stars I would!
Testing an SD card of 512GB capacity. I know the android system is finicky, but it sure would be helpful if i could turn off the screen at least (the help text does not address this) OR have a dark background with text that goes grey after a minute, turning white upon touch of the phone
