Family Calendar - FamCal

Downloaded several apps offering similar features but only at the cost of purchasing the premium version. Being able to sync with my google calendars without paying is what makes this app great! Now my partner and I can sync our calendars and always stay up to date on our plans and bills. We also love that once you tick something on your shopping list it automatically removes it from the list making it easier to shop quickly without having to scroll through a long list.

One of the better ones to be able to add to do lists and other events together. I was able to use under "add people to household" events like. "date night" "movie night" etc without having to fully unlock and pay. Liked this one better than some of the other options. it is fairly simple

I liked the functionality of this app. This is the 4th shared calendar I've tried. After a while though the notifications stopped coming. I emailed them and they said to uninstall and reinstall, which we both did, but still no notifications. I will probably just go back to a paper calendar on the wall since I cannot find an app that either doesn't notify us at all or bombards every person with notifications that are not relevant to them.

Great shared calendar. I like the notifications, selecting multiple people for events, the integration with navigation. I wish that searching for places were easier. You need to start with the beginning of the word and can't limit searches to a certain geographic area. I guess I'm surprised at how often I don't actually get the first word right.... 😀

Astonishingly useful - the free app is very helpful, options to upgrade are not intrusive and don't bother you like some apps. Same with the ads, they're really well placed to stay visible, but not in the way. We're using the free version for a few months before we upgrade to get a feel for it, but so far it's been amazingly helpful keeping us organized and always coordinated. Since I travel, it helps me avoid traveling over important family dates :)

Brilliant app! Wife and I have been using this for around 3 years now, excellent calendar, notes, memos etc. We use it for the shopping list so you can add as you think of things. Better than a scrap of paper! Both of us were professional workers before retirement and got so used to electronic diaries when working, we just had to find something. Tried a few but this is undoubtedly the best. Once asked support about a different calendar view. It was in the next release! Excellent, 5 stars

Used to really love this app, my favourite thing is the shopping list! However for quite some time it's suddenly stopped sending me reminder notifications for events in the calendar. As a result I have missed a number of important meetings and appointments. I've tried everything to fix it but to no avail, so unfortunately I think we may have to find an alternative.

I think this is a wonderful app! Its exactly what I need and what I've been looking for, for such a very very long time!! The only other improvement as such that I would suggest is an option where we could organize the shopping list more extensively - for example, if we could arrange it store-wise. But even without it, I LOVE this app and I'd give it every star I have!

This is a nice app for sharing shopping lists or chores lists. One problem that I have with it is that I like to organize my shopping lists in order of store section. The lists allow you to drag items to reorder them, but then it sometimes randomly changes placement of some of the items. This can be frustrating when you've made your way through the store to realize that the app decided to move an item halfway down the list. Or if tasks in order of priority are swapped in a chores list.

I tried to setup an account but when I tried to an my wife it kept giving me an error that the email address was already in use. Thats because the previous attempt to set it up failed but still shows that email address assigned to my account. So now I have an account that only lists me and I can't add anyone to. What a waste of time. When you click on the link for "contact us" it calls up your email program but the address bar is blank. Worthless!

Works fairly well on my phone. Able to sync up with my family, but there are a few issues I wish would be fixed. -Sometimes the calendar is not updated between us and so our events will not line up until some time later. -The reason I use cloud calendars is to use on any platform, which is disappointing because there is no website to check and no Chromebook friendly app. If there would be some sort of open availability that would make this even more lovely. -Better preferences, such as default view or easier widget creations would make the app much easier and faster as well.

I love the color coding and the shared calendar for my family's appontments! The grocery and to-do lists could be much more useful if we could set due dates and repeat them without having to have them taking up space on the calendar. A web version would also be great, especially for my mom. It still is a great useful app for free, so thank you, devs!

I really like this app. Everyone in the family can use the calendar, add events, get notifications and reminders, add groceries to any of the grocery lists, add tasks and assign them and get reminders. I love the interactivity of this app. The only thing it doesn't have that I really wish it had is a more specific grocery shopping list, that you can add prices to and it would add up the cost in your shopping cart.

Downloaded the app in the hope to find a solution to rostering of school drop off and pick up. We use monthly view and can see at a glance who is doing a school run, and we've colour coded each person. 5 people know exactly when changes are made, and no kid is left at school, ever! Easy as. After 1 week of use, it's really working for us. We can see where we can help each other out which reduces our weekly travel time by up to 3 hours. Winning! Fairly easy to use

I did my research when I told my family I wanted to try a family organizer app. I chose this one because of the features in the free version, and the VERY reasonable price for the full app, if I decide to upgrade. There are other apps that may be a little more pretty but for the price, the features, and (hopefully) the customer service, this is the best choice

Other than a few initial sync issues which hasn't occurred in years, this app has been stellar. It's saved us from more missed appointments than I care to admit. In fact, I looked for a way to donate as the developers deserve a few bucks but don't see a way of doing so. As I type this I wonder if they've sold my email account to advertisers :) but so be it if that's the case as it's still one of our most used apps.

I love this calendar app, easy for the family to use, the color coding helps us stay organized. I especially love the birthday and anniversary feature, I am getting better and not forgetting to call my nieces and nephews on their special day. Only downfall, all of a sudden my app stopped notifying me when others added an event, so I have to check daily, but not annoying enough to take a star away.

I love it, Its perfect for planning and sharing trips, chores, lists. I am completely in love! I've been looking for a app like this for a while but couldn't find one that didn't involve me putting out money or only gave notifications via email. Simple and easy to use compared to the other ones that I've dealt with I'm so happy with it.

Excellent. I tried many shared calendar apps but this was the best. The only suggestion is if I make an update to the calendar on my phone, then I want my wife's calendar on her phone, which is exactly the same, to get updated in real time without having to tap the refresh button on the widget (or go into the app) on her phone
