Family Journal

Family Life is complicated. When was the last time you went out with the Smith family? Who paid? What was the score the last time Bobby's team played their arch rivals? Who chose the last movie?
With Family Journal, you can record important and not so important events for you and your family.

Start by creating an event. A unique user interface shows local businesses that you can easily choose from or enter your own event. Creating an event takes you to Event Details where you can select the type of event and family members who participated. With the More screen, you can set alerts for an upcoming event as well and specify that an event recurs. Family members can rate any event with one to five stars. With each event, you can list family contacts (e.g., friends) who were with the family. Events can have any number of diary notes, photos and videos.

Once you have created a few events, you can search for them by name, date, type, place, and family members or family contacts who participated. Easily sort the list of events by name, date or specific event type elements. For example, who chose the last movie? Select an event type and data for only that type of event is displayed. Once a type is selected you can select a field to see the values. For example, Measures : Weight. If there is data, a graph icon lets you graph the changes over time. Finally, tap to go to that event.

Pop-up hints help you get started and you can turn them off when no longer needed. There is a Calendar View to show events by month with color coded indicators for each family member. The Map View shows locations visited. The Distance view shows distance between events. The Album View shows photos and videos within a date range. Diary View shows the same for diary notes. There is a special birthday reminder for family members and family contacts.

Options allow you to configure how Family Journal behaves for you. You can choose Metric or English Measurements, Location Tracking, show or hide hints, enable birthday reminders or set notifications for new features. Family Journal recognizes international measurements and monetary symbols for different countries.
