Where do I even start? This app basically turns the device useless. You can't use Wifi without having to use Data, it restricts almost everything and when it's "Bedtime" the phone is completely useless until you can use it again the next day. So, I can disable it if it's in the bedtime part of the day and I have to wait a few hours just to delete an app. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!
(Child POV) Blocking app usage feature works fine, but can easily be turned off in settings. The frustrating thing is, other stuff is being blocked as well. Multiple YouTube videos that are comepletely fine, some apps that are normal, and some of my favorite websites. Basically, I can't find a way to turn the annoying and random blocks off, but the ones that parents downloaded the app for can easily be rejected via settings? Also, my parent had noticeable trouble starting up the app.
I like it. I have tried other apps such as MMgaurdian. Don't get MMgaurdian, It has many glitches and I have found 3 or 4 ways around the time limits. This app has good performance and it runs smoothly and effectively, if you want a time limit app, definitely buy this one. I, even though it is annoying for me to have, is much better than some of the other ones out there.
My daughter was getting a new phone, so I thought this might be good for her. Definitely WAS NOT.In the first week we downloaded it, I had set the time for 5AM and her alarm was at 6. She came downstairs very frustrated it wasn't working. It still continues to glitch, unless I turn the time off altogether. Terrible app, definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR YOUR CHILDREN.
BAIT AND SWITCH: If you use a discount code that they message to you while you sign up, when you cancel they'll tell you there is NO free trial and won't return your money. I had high hopes for this, but the software is not nearly as good as others I've tried. Qustodio gives a real 3 day trial. No credit card needed. Read more reviews and you'll see they do this to people all the time. Steer clear! Learn from what they did to me - AVOID.
we used this app for 6 months, problems and glitches the whole time but i was optimistic. we finally canceled even though the year was paid for, it caused more problems than it was worth. I spoke with a few people from billing and customer service and i was not given a refund, even partial. some of the problems were gps never worked, app was deleted by kid, and there is no notification to the parents, and the internet safety was a joke. I'm pretty tech savvy, it wasnt me. Good luck!
(From a child's perspective)This is a bad app and restricts texting even if you want to text your parents. It restricts everything even the camera even if you allow camera. This app is also very easy to uninstall and has many bugs/glitches. It also takes a lot of storage each day and battery. Overall it is a very very very bad app. I hate it.
BEWARE - If you purchase and it doesn't work on your device they REFUSE REFUND. All they did was forward refund policy. I wasn't able to do 3 day trial, as I selected a discount option, which doesn't provide trial period. Now I'm stuck with app that I can't use.
Negative reviews indicating poor customer service and useless tech support aren't just disgruntled, technically inept users. Their "staff" give you the same canned response (with poor grammar skills, might I add) repetitively, and disappear completely when you ask for an alternative because you've tried their preferred technique several times without success. Yes, I was ghosted in a tech support live chat by these guys. Moral of the story? This one isn't worth the time it takes to download.
Terrible. The app glitched out and I was stuck on the "Take a break" screen for 2 DAYS. I couldn't uninstall the app cause it kept popping up, my parents did everything they could and I had to reset my phone. I hope you're happy cause your stupid app made me loose everything I had.
This app just does not work. Permissions are reset on phone restart. Don't waste your money. When it does work it does so completely intermittently. This is a borderline scam. Should be removed from the app store.
(Child POV) I have never had any problems with the restriction apps but this one changed things. Music is the only thing that keeps me going all the time and for this app to randomly restrict my YT when my mom hasn't set that up just upsets me and it's very annoying to go to notifications and hit disconnect everytime.
HORRIBLE, I have spent hours upon hours in this app. It works for a but then stops. I've contacted customer service probably 15 times. I have gone thru HOURS UPON HOURS if their suggested troubleshooting to end up w the same result. Oh and if they ask you to email dont expect a response. Horrible company, horrible customer service, save your money!
Reinstall every few months. Whenever you have a problem syncing a setting or change, be prepared to erase and reinstall on your device and your childs device and have to set it up all over again. Every 2-3 months I've had to do this.
kid here. the bedtime blocker is broken for 4 reasons. 1. alarms don't show up on bedtime 2.you can't even go on the family time app 3.you can't call people, so if the sos doesn't work, say goodbye to your child in distress. 4.alerts don't work. so if an important alert pops up, there is no way to answer it. another thing about it is that there is no tasks for more time or free play. Parents, switch to Screen Time for Kids.
The internet doesn't work even when it isn't blocked
App never worked properly so stopped using very early on got autobilled the next year and was told it would be refunded. Chased 3 times keep getting same answer that it will be refunded soon with no ETA. Worst experience in a subscription app
The permission control needs to set each day and it still doesn't do the screentime limit or app limit. I'm on a trial period and this app really think I wanna buy, I need a refund. I am so disappointed.
(11/Jan/2020)the refund process took more than 6 months still not see coming in. check with their cust service 6 times, exactly same reply, may be they just copy and paste the msg. please help speed up the process refund. Seem they not plan to refund, just delay the refund process. Please make the the refund. Lot of user face similar issue. Can not understand why Google allow this kind of poor support/scam app put on play store!!!!!!!
The app does not work as advertised and I used the latest versions! Also, the company refuses to refund your money even when you cancel within the 3-day free trial period. This is a scam and the product does not work!
Its a scam, beware of this app! Their chat support had me put two 5 stars reviews from 2 parents, before I purchased it so I'll get 50% off the price, I agreed knowing I'd be able to change it if needed, the app would not install on my daughter device, it kept say that the installation failed, I tried for few hours to get it to work with their tech support, nothing worked, I asked for refund since I cannot use it but they wont refund me saying I took the promotion price and it is non refundable
Avoid this scam. I was signing up for a free 3-day trial of their app when a pop-up chat offered me a discount on the yearly plan. After purchasing the discount I tried to install the app on my phone, but it kept crashing repeatedly. When going to install I noticed a lot of 1-start reviews on Google play store mentioned the same issue with no resolution - but it was too late as I had already been reeled in by the "low" yearly price. I reached out to the support the next day (less that 24 hours after purchased) and requested a refund - I was told there was no refund because I purchased a "discounted" memberships. Tech support never even tried to troubleshoot my issue, so I have reported them to my credit card company. I wish there were negative stars based on this horrible, scam-like experience.
