Famous Dave's

One of the worst restaurant apps out there! Can't save a restaurant for pick up. Always have to start over to put in for location and select the restaurant you want. Every time! App will get stuck on deals and not let you see the rest of the menu requiring you to restart the app and then have to put in your location, again! Get so frustrated I decide to eat somewhere else.

Great looking app at onset, but feels extremely finnicky; rewards functionality is broken. Twice now in the past few weeks I've claimed two rewards, granting me a code to use on an online order. Both cases I was given a message at checkout saying it would qualify, despite in-store staff claiming it did. They had to either grant me in-store credit or rig it to work on their end. The back button should NOT exit you out back to before you selected a location, especially when you were at the cart/checkout level. This sometimes clears your whole order up to that point.

The app is unusable. It asks to validate my info and forces me to re-enter my phone number every time I login. The number is right, but their system validates it incorrectly. It also will not use my location, even though it is enabled, so I can't use the search function based on location. Finally, I enter my credit card information, and it's declined due to address or zip code. However, I can successfully use the website version without issue! Why keep the broken app??

The app is extremely user unfriendly. It is very hard to navigate in ordering until you realize that you have to throw out what you would normally do on an app like this. After spending 30 minutes to figure it out and putting a order in it would not accept the "free sandwich coupon" you get for downloading the app. I gave up. Did not finish the order, uninstalled the app and drove to another BBQ place for their drive thru.

Looks nice but terrible navigation. I can't use my phones back button cause it cancels out of the order screen and I have to start over, or it'll close the app completely?? I see there's an X button to go back in some screens at the top left, but it's very inconvenient to press with todays larger phones. It should be common sense to have all frequently used navigation at the bottom, or let me use the back button on my phone like people are used to in every other app??

Okay app, frustrating is you can't use a gift card to pay. So I have to call the place, which adds another hiccup if I want to use the rewards program. And tonight I called 20 minutes before closing, got sent to a call center who took 10 minutes to take my order and gave me a time to pick up after they closed. They then asked that I call the store, but by that point there was no direct line to them. I guess it's a pizza night.

This app is completely useless. I've tried to use it multiple times across multiple devices and it's a waste of time. The rewards system doesn't work. The menu doesn't pull properly. Even when I call to order and pick it up, the staff will tell you to pull up the app to add the rewards... it's a run-around that's not worth the trouble. I'm still left calling or ordering at the pick-up window. Frustrating.

Love the food, easy to open and navigate the web site from my computer. Restaurant did get my order from computer log-in because I received an email saying it was received and would be ready. So, restaurant get 5 stars, ap doesn't get any because I can't get it to open, install, etc. on my phone. Seems like the same problems others had/are having. Have no idea what I'm/we're doing wrong -

The app claims my phone is rooted when it is not. If it were complaining about a lack of free space, I'd understand that, but it wasn't. The splash screen came up, sat there for several minutes, declared my unrooted phone to be rooted and offered me the option to exit. I am downloading it to my Chromebook, but I expect the app to behave no better on a different platform. If only ZERO stars were an option...

Once you place an order, if you navigate away from the confirmation, there is no way to access your order history in the app. App is a little glitchy when editing quantity too; one item gave the "Update Basket" option, but others did not so I had to click the back arrow which would update maybe one item but not another (ex. beef brisket meat add-on would not update) so I had to remove from cart and re-add with update quantity. Weird to not have the option to add quart sizes for the sides too.

Only once has this app worked properly. I have been trying to use my rewards and it keeps telling me I cannot use my rewards. I tried using the rewards from their appetizers to plates, and no success, it just keeps telling me I can't use my rewards for that item, or I try to place a order and it will say order has already been placed even though I haven't paid for it yet.

The app is convoluted and a disorganized mess! We get to the location and our order didn't go through. We had to wait an additional 20 minutes because the app didn't work despite navigating through it got For 10 minutes trying to what we wanted. This is all will be installed, hire better programmers.

Much like the website the app is beyond frustrating to use and is entirely unusable with a gift card. Despite being able to verify on Famous Dave's that the gift card is valid and does have enough of a balance there is simply no way to select a gift card as a valid payment method. They are also unreachable by phone even after 3 separate calls to them. Their website has a help chat which will load forever and never connect. If you value your time or sanity avoid Famous Dave's at all costs.

Terrible App, Famous Dave's in Bolingbrook, Illinois does not even have bar codes on their receipts, so you will need to take a picture of your receipt, submit it to Famous Dave's support people, and have them add the "bones" to your account manually. It kind of makes the reward system useless. It is easy to place your order online, and as always, THE FOOD IS WONDERFUL! Great food, wonderful atmosphere, waste of time reward system in the app is the reason for the 1 star rating.

Love the restaurant, HATE the app! Clunky andFinicky. Aweful design choices (maybe due to integration with bad instore p.o.s ?) For example if you want make any substitutions you get less than 20 characters for the order?

Legitimately the worst restaurant app on the internet, this is actually my last time eating at this restaurant as a result of it. It took me OVER AND HOUR AND A HALF to order my food, AND I HAD TO CALL IT IN. It offered 10 bucks off, but the app wouldn't apply it or load it. I had a 50 dollar gift card, the app wouldn't let me enter it. I wanted a side of rich and sassy bbq sauce and devil's spit with my bbq combo, it wouldn't let me order it. I HAD A BARBECUE MEAT COMBO AND THEY DIDN'T LET ME ORDER SAUCES. It's freaking 2021. It's been a pandemic for two freaking years. There is legitimately no excuse to have an online pickup system this legitimately terrible. WHO HAS AN ONLINE ORDERING APP THAT DOESN'T LET YOU ORDER WITH A GIFT CARD? IT WAS A DIGITAL GIFT CARD. I wish I could give this trash 0 stars. A 14 year old could do a better app in a freshman programming class.

frustrating The app was difficult to enter location, won't let you keep a favorite location, hard to order more than 1 item at a time, and kept entering the wrong zip code. Couldn't use credit card, had to call the store to place an order.

Love the food. Dislike the app. When typing in credit card info I couldn't see the box I was typing in as it vanished once the keyboard came up.. Biggest problem...my numbers where always backwards. Finally figured it out when I put my zip code in. I entered everything backwards and it worked. :-(

The app doesn't work properly. 1. I was charged and never received a confirmation email 2. When I entered my billing zip, the app reversed it. I had to reverse entering so it would work. I regret doing that now that I spent money and didn't get any food!!

They used to have a cash option. They removed. So their tech focuses on selling our information. The establishment is great and incredibly friendly (for that rpice who wouldn't be?) But worth it :) Even after they remove your preferres items, specials and deals.

I couldn't even sign up. It keeps messing with my phone's keyboard. I can't even get past email. It also jumps around to different fields. No other keyboard issues!

What the hell? When putting in my CC# it keeps putting numbers that I didnt type???!!! So frustrating - and the screen shifts where u cant see the buttons to type the numbers. PLEASE FIX THIS or there is no point to the app. Thanks

I received an email stating: "Have Lunch ON US 🙌" as the subject The email body states: "FREE Burger/Sandwich with App Download" Their website states: "A FREE sandwich or burger just for signing up" and its also in the images and the terms dont state anything about invalidity at my local restaurant. When I downloaded the app, the offer was not there. I waited 24 hours, not there. I reached out to support (Which i couldnt do via the app, because there isn't a section for contacting), no reply. What is going on here exactly? I don't care about a freebie or anything, but I dont like being falsely advertised to

Zero is too high. Couldn't place an order. Screen doesn't justify correctly. Edits didn't flow through order process. Gave up on free sandwich offer and called the store. Very capable store mgr confirmed app gets poor reviews and filled my order.

I received a text that I would receive a free sandwich and side if I downloaded the app yesterday. I did, but that reward never appeared in my account.

Extremely hard to use the App. Numbers reverse for zipcode have to place in backwards. Entering the credit card is a headache. If you mess up you might as well call or go somewhere else.

Absolute junk... Won't retain my membership info, won't keep an accounting of my orders so that I earn reward points. Used to be great, not anymore.

Great app. Rewards are good. Problem is that I usually order the feast for two, which I can get every day, but the app won't let me unless its Tuesday. so I'm not getting my points because i still have to call my order in. Please fix this.

App is terrible couldn't even get my free sandwich because the app only loads like 3 items in each category which makes it difficult to use. Therefore not earning any points. About to uninstall.

App hasn't worked for over a year. Gives me pmt errors every time with same cc i use every where else. End up always having to call in. Frustrating.
