Fancy Widgets

VERY disappointed with the latest update. IN this update they removed the widget layout that I've been using for years. In order to make the widget function, I had to remove it and put a new one on the screen. Can't duplicate the appearance I've had for years which was the reason I selected this app all those years ago. What's worse is it's the first picture they show in the samples that I can no longer get. Very disappointed. Arguably, the widget still works as well as ever, but if I can't have the layout I'm used to using, I may as well use a different one that gives me that layout.

Display is different The display is now only one space high, and the clock is on the left, instead of on top. Looks like the landscape view. I even tried older versions with no luck. I'm using it on my new S10 plus, but it also changed on my Note 8. I'm frustrated. It's working, but it takes up the 4x2 space with a 4x1 widget. I'm using the widget for many years, back to the original Droid. Will change back to 5 stars when it works again!

This used to be my "Go-to" app whenever I got a new phone. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work on my latest Galaxy S10 running Android Version 9. It will not load after a reboot; you have to remove it and then replace it in order for it to display properly. Even then, the clock does not update. You can get it to display the current time by going in to the settings, and then going back to the main display... but once set, the clock will continue to show that same time until you repeat the process. Damned shame... I hope I can find a working replacement.

I bought the pro version quite a while back and have only recently had one of the same problems that so many other people have had. The time was 5 hours ahead of the actual time. I tried emailing with no response. I tried looking for the battery optimization to change, but that isn't available on my phone. (Galaxy S6). I finally just started using a different widget - Beautiful Widget Pro by Level Up Studio. It does all the same stuff and I no longer have the problem.

Now, since the update, the widget won't load on phone boot, doesn't display the temp, doesn't display the correct time, and for the first time in years I have uninstalled it. It is also displaying ads even though I bought the unlocked. While the battery optimization work around fixes the time, the temperature is constantly wrong and the themes don't work.

I bought this widget years ago and have been very happy using it. I have probably had it on at least my last 5 phone and it wouldn't be the same without it. However, recently it is not refreshing reliably. hope there is a fix soon. Update to one star because I have now seen that many are reporting the same issue and it seems nothing has been done. Not happy about ads on my paid version either.

Been using this for years... then it stopped working. was glad to see you finally did the update. But It still doesnt work. the time gets stuck and doesn't advance and you can only use the default widgets. You provide many choices especially if you pay for the unlocker like I did but they will not work. So there is very little customization that can present a problem if you've paid to do so. AND there is still tons of Ads... Update NO BUENO!!

Loved this app for years still do. I just don't understand why mess with something that wasn't broken. Can't change weather icons anymore. The color wheel shows up white. I didn't update it only to the last one due to the high reviews. I shouldn't have New update still can't change weather skins. They're in folders inside the app but still nothing. When you try to do it it says it can't be found in sd card. Moved the files to SD card from internal storage and still nothing. It's only the same weather skin that I'm trying to use that I've used for years.

This app has been a staple for many years on all my Android phones so you can imagine my extreme disappointment that with the most recent update it no longer works satisfactorily. No matter what I do the clock refuses to refresh to the correct time. Neither does the weather reflect current conditions. Until a fix corrects these problems, I am forced to abandon Fancy Widgets in favor of an alternative.

This app used to be the best. It was always one of the first apps I installed whenever I had a new Rom or phone, and I have had the Pro version now for over 7 years. However since Apex bought it, it has gone downhill. Now there is no support website, and the ad free experience is a sham. I get banner and popup ads in the settings app and even once on the forecast app. Not acceptable. The devs needs to reevaluate their strategy and live up to the promises. If you are going to charge someone for an app and say it will be ad free, don't show ads. It isn't rocket science. Save yourself money and don't bother with the Pro version since the ad free experience is anything but.

Updated 15MAY2020: This once great app has not worked in over one year. The developer stopped supporting in early 2019. Today, the developer released an update and started to support the app again. It now works brilliantly! Hopefully it will continue go be supported. I highly recommend this over the stock Android clock and weather. I recommend purchasing the pro version to get rid of the ads. I have used this app for over 5 years. I have also purchased the pro (Unlocked Version). It has worked flawlessly and is one of my favorite apps. I have the clock and and weather widget on my home page. After the most recent update, the app has become unusable. None of my themes will load except an old HTC flip clock. The app does not show the current time. I have tried the battery optimizer fix that others have suggested and it seems to be working. However, I still cannot use any of the themes. Also, there are now ads! I have the paid version and I still have ads everywhere. I have sent emails to the developer and have not received a response. I will have to uninstall until the version is either rolled back or fixes are made. If you are thinking of purchasing this app, be warned, it does currently does not work. Find a different app.

I've used this app since my HTC Droid Incredible. Great, with the occasional issue over the years. Most resent issue is that I recently reset my phone, and I did the process to unlock the paid version (I originally got the paid version for free from Amazon App store when they did a different free app daily), I no longer have all my clock or weather skins. Also, even though I've backed up my settings previously, and transfered from SD card to card over the years, the info is no longer there.

Latest update made this useless. Clock has shown 12:36 all day. I've removed and re-added it three times. Initially it shows the correct time, next time I look, it's at 12:36 again. Randomly changes the settings I have. Sometimes doesn't even load. I regret ever paying for this app. and now when trying to use downloaded clock skins, the skin doesn't change and the clock disappears. AND now I'm getting ads. Even after paying for it. Great job.

I've been using fancy widgets as long as I can remember. I've been having problems with the clock freezing up and not updating. I thought at first the problem was with the latest version of Android. So I downloaded an older version of fancy widgets 4.07 and not having any problems now. I think there's a glitch in the update making it not function properly. If you're having the same problem try downloading an older version. Maybe that will help. Note. Turn off auto-updates in the play store.

FIX. If not updating the time properly, go to apps and find Fancy Widgets and select it. Click on battery. Click on optimize battery use. Change it to show all apps from the drop down list at the top. Find Fancy Widgets in list. Move the slider over for the app to turn off optimization. Note: turning off optimization on the phone in the general battery section will not fix. It must be done for the app individually.

Like others, I have loved this widget for years, using it as both clock and quick access to my alarm clock app. Also like others, I am very disappointed that the current version no longer updates. I have been putting up with having to remove and replace the widget when I restart my phone for a while, but now the widgets are totally nonfunctional.

Originally I was very impressed with this app - so impressed that I got the paid version. However it now seems that I'm getting ads when I go to change settings (only when there's an active internet connection). Could the developer please fix this, because those who paid you not to see ads should not have to.

As mentioned the battery optimization fix works so that the clock keeps the correct time. However only the default flip style clock will display because of the bug that the latest update has. No idea why the developers don't just roll back the update and fix the bugs before rolling out again. A very good app has been temporarily ruined.

This has been part of my Android home screen for years, and is so flexible and has the most customisation of any of the weather widgets I have seen. However, there are issues. I have already written a review on the Fancy Widgets Unlocker app, but as this main app still appears to be getting updated, I wanted to make a note that adverts are still being shown when the unlocker app is installed, plus the widgets do not seem to properly refresh after restarting the phone (Samsung Note 9). We all know that Android Pie (v9) is causing some issues for widgets, with update workarounds needed, like disabling battery optimization, but the adverts really are ruining the experience somewhat. I do hope the developers can help out those people that paid the price for the unlocker app...

Go to phone's Settings, Apps, Fancy Widgets, Battery, Optimize Battery Usage, select All Apps in the drop down, scroll down to Fancy Widgets and slide optimization to Off. Back in Apps, it should display Not Optimized. That seems to solve the static clock issue. I have version 4.0.6 on another phone that is running fine with the optimization setting turned on, so this is a work around and not a fix until the dev team addresses what broke.

I've used this widget for years. Up untila free days ago, it was the best. now the time on the clock won't advance. I've uninstalled and reinstalled but still no luck the time will only update if i go to "configure". then it only updates once until i do it again. I'm looking forward to a fix and then I'll change back to 5 stars. Help! Please fix this! I also sent an email and am waiting for a response.

I have used your app for years on multiple phones. This last update has made your widget useless. I have gone through and adjusted any setting I can that might make a difference and no change. The time does not update on the widget. The weather does not either, but I am more concerned about the time. Please fix.
