Works great but needs a tweak. I have integrated it flawlessly with Alexa for my nighttime routine but here is where the app gets limited. Alexa can only control the basic functions. I'd like to have "Fresh Air" as an option through Alexa. It's a great feature that I currently have to start separately through the app. Also, if the away features were available, I could integrate them into my Away routines.
App is a bit basic and the light dimmer seems to have set stops rather than being a true 0-100% range. That said it works and the Google Home interaction also works well. Sometimes there are connection issues, but I would think that's more to do with the antenna setup in the adapter than the app.
This app is the worst. I have to constantly delete a fan and then re-add. It really can't be that hard to get this right. Who's running product management on this....I posted this Feb 2021 and came back to give another kick.... same problems persist. This company needs to figure out how to make an app. Avoid smart phone controller at all costs....
Smart fan capability doesn't work, hasn't worked since the second month I installed it. It's been about 10 months. I spent $500 to buy and install this fan so my toddler could control it by voice and wouldn't lose remote. What a waste of money. I'd be better off having spent $500 to rewire the switch so I could install standard smart switch/ dimmer. Good thing it came with a remote! Otherwise I'd have no way to use it at all! Edit: sometimes the remote doesn't work either. Useless!
3 of 4 new fans installed without issues. 4th has an AP issue has difficult to connect and connection times out when I get to final step. Not sure if this is an app issue or a potential fixate issue with my fan. Note I have the exact same model in another room and it installed with no issues. Formerly lived in Carmel so hoping those good people of Zionsville reach back out to me!
Horrible setup instructions. I will come back and rate after I've owned the fans a while but the setup instructions are not intuitive. When you get to 'go to settings' screen do as they say and select your fan on your WiFi screen. Then go back to the settings screen and scroll down to the bottom and look for the 'Continue' button. Select it and hope for the best. It took about an hour to get it to complete one fan. Once the fan is synced it will be longer show in your WiFi screen.
No longer works with my fan or WiFi fan connection. My home WiFi has the WPA3-Personal security protocol. Don't know if that is the problem. At least the fan has a remote.
Loses connection while using the app. Have to close out and reopen. Reverse fan direction doesn't work from the app.
please fix this App, spent $120 for nothing. keeps connecting, 1 fan has been updating for 3 days now. 2nd fan has a watermark look to it, and nothing works. Please fix this!!!!
Can't connect fans to app. Tech support just suggested to"reset" wifi receiver via power cycle. Very disappointing.
Unable to resync fan to app. Was working fine when purchase 1st year. Now can't get it to sync again. 😩
Worked for six months then fan stopped connecting to wifi. App won't allow me to reconnect

What a waste of money for Fanamation WIFI ceiling fans. I bought 4. App is bad support is worse.

Not quite ready for prime time. I have had high for this app seeing as i own 4 fanimation fans. The apps works decent when it is connected to your Wi-Fi network. But, it takes a while to connect. The interface is rather bland for a company that makes such beautiful ceiling fans. Their ceiling fans are works of art, too bad they have not taken that same approach to their app. The other alternative is to use the bond and I have already been down that road only to return for similar problems.
