Finally quit working. This was a wonderful app for a long time -- probably one of the most convenient tools for looking up FAQs and walkthroughs there was across multiple platforms -- but it has been abandoned and finally it has quit working. When searching games it just says "an error occured." So I guess it's time to go backwards to the old days of manually managing it all the hard way.
Was great while it worked, but the site changed to block things like this. The dev has given up on trying to keep it working, but hasn't delisted it. Gamefaqs no longer makes it easy to download and the the old text and image guides they are embedded into html now, and new guides are pushed into html by default. Keeping offline copies to be able to go through is now frustrating, and that is on gamefaqs administration.
This app does exactly what I want. Offline FAQs with bookmarking and no annoyances so far. I just wish it was easier to discover on the play store.. searching by name it wasn't in the first two pages of results and it never shows up when searching for gamefaqs. I'm sure that's not something the app authors have control over but maybe another 5 star review will help.
5 stars, but recently does not save guides under different game titles anymore. Just one long list of saved guides which makes it harder to know which guide belongs to what game. Long time user of FAQr and I love it so much I use it everytime I play.
Used to be great. Now the app no longer displays game titles for each faq that you get and HTML faqs can no longer be retrieved. Unless the developer updates the app to fix these errors, this app is no longer useful.
Bitterly disappointed this is not updated as it was literally an amazing app for gaming, especially on the go. For anyone still using this: Game titles no longer show on guides saved for offline use. A shame. Huge thanks to the author. Will use this until I can't anymore. Many thanks.
What happened to this app? It used to be my go to app for all guides and now it doesn't even work. I can't open any guides without it giving me some long error message. I don't even see an alternative on the play store, what happened? I really hope it didn't get shut down by any greedy companies...
This is a fantastic app. Simple, intuitive, and user friendly. Never seen crashes or hiccups. Great job!
By far the best app for using GameFAQs. Simple, with pretty much perfect layout of FAQs, bookmarking and searching within FAQs. Very good app.
this app is broken for me. can't search and saved faqs didn't show the game title (imagine if you save lot's of guide but there no title)
I used to love this app as it was a convenient way to have a guide. But damn that CBS Interactive. Why did they do this? Did they give a proper reason? Are they gonna demand that all users uninstall Faqr forever?
I used to use this app for quite a lot. Unfortunately, it no longer works, due to changes in gamefaqs code.
Was a great app while it lasted. Thank you for years of unofficial access to GameFAQs and the dedicated community there.
Doesn't work anymore but I used this app for years. Thank you so much for such an amazing ride!
I used to love this app but now it doesn't work. I'm not mad, I'm just sad. I actually thought this was the best app on the app store. I don't want to give this app 2 stars but I can't give it 5.
No longer works. Rather sad, as it worked perfectly until recently.
downloading around 10-20 guides, not games will instantly got banned from this app, what a trash apps
When faqs are saved they are no longer sorted by game
great and useful apps, too bad it was banned. Press F to pay respect
All the guides you would need!
Was a great app while it lasted.
It was a great ap and what gf did was not fair.
Offline FAQ is best
Messed up what gamefaqs did
You need to fix your app so that when you open it, it sends you directly to where you last left off. Right now, it's broken. Upon opening, it sends me back to the very first part of the page I'm viewing. If I use the jump to last viewed, it jumps me to an incorrect part of the walkthrough. Honestly, my mobile phone web browser is more useful than the app right now cause it instantly opens at the part where I left off.
This will be my final review i am so glad you made this app it has served me well for years it's so sad it's not in the store anymore it's unfortunate that big wigs are so against good things these days i still have not been able to find a suitable replacement for this app. Thank you for such a wonderful app after all these years.
This is still the best app for finding guides, maps, hints, etc. I love how it can keep it all organized. Ther only improvement would be to preview the guide before downloading it, that way we download less of the bad guides and only the good ones. That might decrease user downloads, but it might be way too complicated to achieve within the app. I'm just so thankful for this app that I would like to find a way to keep it alive.
I thought this app had been deleted since I couldn't find it on the Play Store. However, it's still installed on my device... looks like other apps have tried to move in to FAQr's territory. However none of them have the simple and powerful UI of FAQr. Been using it for literally years and years now, and it's a must-have for any gamer. Bravo, and I hope you can get the issues sorted so you can put this back on the store.
