Faraway 2: Jungle Escape

I really enjoyed the first Faraway game, and purchased the 2nd half. For this 2nd game, I also purchased the 2nd half, but I'm kind of regretting it. While the first one had clever puzzles that were challenging but still made sense (mostly), this one has some puzzles that don't provide enough context. And the snake puzzles toward the end of Level 17 were more of an exercise in frustration than fun. Also, the dice level was just plain frustrating as half of the time, it was impossible to place the dice in the proper place, despite the fact that I was doing it properly I was eventually able to get the dice in the right spots by doing the same thing over and over, but the controls/response on that level are terrible.

Excellent puzzle game! I've played a ton of these types of games and this is one of the better ones. It makes you think but isn't too difficult. I haven't needed to use a hint but it also doesn't feel too easy. It is tough to get a game of this type that isn't either too easy or too hard but this is perfect for me. Layout of the game is logical and not complex which I like. Graphics are soft and enjoyable, not cluttered like many puzzle games. There are ads but they aren't overwhelming. Great game overall!

I love the game, but I am completely stuck on one part where I'm supposed to stack dice into a Plus sign symbol. It literally will not let me put the top or cross on. I dont know what to do at this point. It seems incredibly silly I can't have a simple undo button either. I had to start the last level over because the stairs went down slightly too far and it wouldn't let me start that part of the puzzle over. I never had these issues with the first game.

I admire games from Faraway..The graphics are so simple..yet effective. (can't remember what ap.. the graphics remind me of! ) Love the inventory system, its light.. doesn't take up the whole screen. Also like the little notes we find.. I think the dev knows...how much we love smashing the pots too..p My only downside, I get a little dizzy from the pan and scan. I also don't mind, viewing an ad *after going through a portal. Well done.

More than a sequel it seems like an expansion pack. Some good ideas around that could have been mixed and matched but the scope of these ideas lasts for only a level or two. It's also priced quite high judging by the length of the game, took me a few hours to finish this. Some bug in the 6th level prevents me from getting the final letter. The control issues from the 1st game still exist.

The Faraway games are pleasant and relaxing but not very challenging. They are better than the average puzzle/escape game on Google Play but nowhere near the challenge of The Room series or even "The House of Da Vinci". There's a slow ramp up in difficulty which is good at teaching how the puzzles generally work, but even the puzzles are not very hard - if you have both a good memory and a good feeling for topology. The side challenges (finding al the notes) can be fun but many are trivial and some are so stupid (and poorly signalled by the clue) that they are infuriating. Without giving away spoilers, finding the third note depends on you having solved the main puzzle; sometimes the visual clue you then receive is intriguing and satisfying, sometimes it is very simple, sometimes it is infuriatingly obtuse and requires a very stupid sequence of actions that may have to be tried in various random combinations before you succeed. The atmosphere of the game is good and this second one has the added interest of the added character and his secret messages. I find it doesn't take too long to complete the main game but 100% completion can offer some extended interest. This I would give this a four because the atmosphere is well done even though the puzzles aren't hard. But the sheer inanity of some of the side puzzles has annoyed me. So 3 even though it is better than the previous game.

I like the extensive puzzles per level, sometimes the movement into each scene can feel a little slow although it's smooth. There were 30 second ads after every level. And you don't get all the levels without paying. There was one level where it felt like I couldn't get back to where I needed to go for minutes, absolutely could be user error, but was frustrating and dizzying.

good but... this game for the most part is really a good puzzle adventure game, like old myst. however, a few of the 3rd note finds are obscure and are more annoying then 'puzzle'. I mean, the first game had intelligent 3rd note puzzles crafted into the levels with brilliant hints from portal piece, but the few in this game are completely random and just there because the first game had them. again, game is good, just didn't enjoy some of the 3rd notes

I really enjoy these puzzles. Sometimes the letters are too hard to find, though, which is frustrating. The hints just help you to get through the puzzles and levels: you are on your own to find the letters if you want to get them. I have enjoyed them enough to keep doing them!! 4 so far.

Slightly more challenging puzzles but still too easy to complete to be enjoyable for me. Doesn't take long to complete the free levels and since they aren't challenging enough I cant justify purchasing additional levels. The game art is pretty like the first one, it just lacks challenging puzzles.

This is a wonderful game. The puzzles are challenging without being impossible. I always pay for the full version because the cost is reasonable for hours of entertainment! There's no pressure, no time constraints. And the hints are quite enough to help me once in a while (and I usually say "oh, yeah. I get it!". If you like logic puzzles, Faraway is top notch.

Great game that makes you concentrate and think about the puzzles! I completed levels 3, 4, 5 and 6 in about an hour last night. Solved it all without any hints. Looking forward to doing more of it later today. Thanks for making these great games. The puzzles do seem to get a bit more challenging as you go further.

After having been amazed by part one, I was ready for part two.. unfortunately, unlike in the first part, the 9 free to play stages/riddles were designed in such a "lazy" way, that I decided not to purchase the whole game. Though this one was a bit disappointing, I will try out part 3..

Brilliant game! One of my favorite games on the desktop was The Witness because of the way it brought together beautiful graphics, compelling story, and challenging puzzles and I'm blown away that the Faraway series has been able to do the same thing on mobile. I especially love that it's a premium game instead of microtransaction hell. Really well done A++

Was looking to be decent with some interesting puzzles but then I got to one that was extremely annoying and frustrating with touchscreen so I quit. From what I saw this would probably be one of best of the Faraway series if not for that. Which is why I'm giving a neutral score rather than a bad score.

Excellent puzzle game that is very similar to the computer game The Witness. There's two parts to this game: getting to the next level and collecting all the notes (each level has 3 notes). Absolutely fun and I love it so much!

I LOVE these Faraway escape games! Much more enjoyable than most. Some easy and some Challenging and great mix of puzzles and movement and landscapes. Some are really fun to move up and down... feels real. Clever puzzles! Nice to have hints when needed. Had to use YouTube help for some of them tho.

Pretty neat puzzler. The environment and story feel a little too lonely at times. A few levels feel a bit like work. Controls are mostly good, but occasionally awkward. But it's pretty creative with the puzzle styles. Pretty good overall.

It's limited on levels unless you buy, level 9 has glitches. Once inside the pyramid, do the doors on your left right because if you go forward and do those first, it won't let you back to get the token for the portal. I restarted the level and it glitches before going in, the tasks don't function. It's ok up until then. Level 9 is the last before you have to pay.

The puzzles are challenging but solvable, which makes them enjoyable but not frustrating. They make sense and are varied. I seldom need the hints, but when I do, they are always helpful. Really enjoying this game.

Great game...Just the problem is (maybe it is not in this game just my device) it is very laggy graphics,controls, and physics are cool...Logical puzzles take place in every level... I wont really recommend everyone to play this because each and every person have their own likes...However I support this game and might give 5☆ on future updates... Thats All Folks!

enjoyed it until the dice puzzle when even after watching hint and completing puzzle it would not register. Verified solution several times and it still would not register. Frustrating!! after restarting game was finally able to complete puzzle. seems as if once done incorrectly cannot redo until restart.

Challenging and lots of paths but can be figured out. Omg!! I played level after level, music relaxing, awesome adventures. Best game I ever played. There are 3 in series of game , hope they make more. No glitches, definitely worth the down load.

Rather simple, uninspiring & unchallenging... Very simple puzzles, movement & view panning are quite restricted, graphics are basic & not detailed. and I could never ever find a third note on any level! Is there one?

a simple puzzle game perfect for those who like solving things! the graphics and visuals are very pleasing to look at, and the controls are quite simple. i recommend this to anyone looking for a good time passer.

Love it. The puzzles are fun and unique and it's a really cute game, just the right amount of challenging in my opinion. It's not extremely difficult and I find that the progress pace is very nice. Some people might find it a bit too easy, but I think that's what adds to the fun of it.

I like these puzzles, they keep me entertained for about a day or 2, I paid for the no ads and free hints but some of the hints were a little glitchy and I couldn't finish the level with the boat because it's very hard to steer. I paid for the extra levels, free hints and no ads. I like the storyline.
