The first half of the game is great, the second half has a severe lack of puzzles, being replaced by match the shape and match the colour filler. Of particular note is the very last proper level, before the final "level" which is just a glorified cutscene. You would expect a game like this to tie everything you've learned together and test your ability to use all previous puzzles, but no, match the colours on the picture we have provided you and redirect the very obvious lasers "puzzle."

It's an interesting game with fairly rigid gameplay and an easy path to follow. You physically manipulate objects in various ways as you follow the path laid out in the game. There are three bonus items per level to find and I was only able to find two on any given level. I would have liked more levels. I played through in about an hour.

This is a neat little puzzle game, and I have enjoyed it despite not having played the first two. However, the ads do get annoying. There is an ad after each level, and this can be quite annoying. Also, I am rather stuck. I am on the minecart level, and have found the portal but not the square you put inside it. I used a hint, but it showed me how to solve the first puzzle in the level. Please help, I was loving your game and it would be a shame not to continue.

I won't judge this on its puzzle difficulty, because it's clearly not intented to be that much of challenge. instead, I give my rating based on the artistic and mechanic level design, which is outstanding I think. I enjoyed the background music as well, very calming. Nevertheless, I feel no incentive to explore the other games from developer, because I prefer challenging puzzle games.

The puzzles are so uninspiring. When I play puzzle games I often get stuck and frustrated, but they were so straight forward and easy I the only time I used the hint was during the tutorial. Unnecessary ads in between each completion, and they're frequent due to how fast you can complete the puzzles. I don't understand how this is Editor's Choice. If this is the third game in this series I can't imagine how the first two are.

I'm disappointed because i'm expecting an interesting story with a lot of levels/puzzles but when i reached the end. They asked me to buy the "all level special" pack which was he full game. 9 new levels, unlimited hints and no ads which we get when we pay to continue the full game. 4 stars from me bcuz of that paid thing. I must say, the graphics, visual, puzzles, environment, story and music are fantastic and well-made! It's so satisfying breaking the pots :) Please make more games like this!

Game is well worth the price, no matter what the 'I want free stuff' crybabies say. Levels, graphics, music, and gameplay are all very intriguing and artistic. Not terribly difficult, just enough so that the challenges are rewarding. The best games have a tiny cost, deal with it. Support the developers. Overall, great series of games, I'll keep buying them.

well, sure didn't take long to ruin this series. least the 2nd game was mostly like the 1st game, which is a great puzzle adventure. this 3rd game is just 'busywork'. the screenshot is useless in this one, as all the 'puzzles' are basic trial and error (if you can call them that XP). even the levels are very linear, and they are not even trying to hide the notes any more. the story notes have completely lost any style/depth, to the point I just didn't care to look for the 3rd notes. dont bother

The Faraway games are pleasant and relaxing but not very challenging. They are better than the average puzzle/escape game on Google Play but nowhere near the challenge of The Room series or even "The House of Da Vinci". There's a slow ramp up in difficulty which is good at teaching how the puzzles generally work, but even the puzzles are not very hard - if you have both a good memory and a good feeling for topology. The side challenges (finding al the notes) can be fun but many are trivial and some are so stupid (and poorly signalled by the clue) that they are infuriating. Without giving away spoilers, finding the third note depends on you having solved the main puzzle; sometimes the visual clue you then receive is intriguing and satisfying, sometimes it is very simple, sometimes it is infuriatingly obtuse and requires a very stupid sequence of actions that may have to be tried in various random combinations before you succeed. The atmosphere of the game is good. This third one builds on the tension of the second and has quite an emotional impact in the finish I find it doesn't take too long to complete the main game but 100% completion can offer some extended interest. I give this a reluctant four. The previous games I scored 3 because the stupidity of some of the side challenges annoyed me too much. This one gets 4 because of the impact of the ending, despite the annoyance of some of the side challenges.

What a beautiful color palette! I have almost all the faraway games (only free versions, can't afford to pay) and the colors and scenes are lovingly designed, easy on the eyes with just enough details... especially this game. The puzzles could be a little more challenging, nevertheless a wonderful way to excercise your brain.

Great puzzles, terrible ending. The notes dont follow much of a plot. I bought the rest of the levels becuase I was awarded £2 credit. Otherwise the game is expensive. I played it all in one night as its that addictive. The graphics are stunning, the hint system adequate and the puzzles fun.

The most infectious, uplifting music of the series so far, and some puzzles that remind me of a certain Elven Swordsman's adventures with a twist. Would be perfect if I could get that "Junior Explorer" achievement, despite completing the game. Maybe I triggered a bug because I bought all the levels before even playing the first one?

The graphics and puzzles were wonderful, you have to use logic to solve them, which is good. I really enjoyed this game. However, buying the full version is not an option for me, so when I got to level 9, that was it. I've had this app for a day, and I had to uninstall it because I can't do anything else. I'd reccomend in-app purchases like remove ads, extra hints or bonus levels, so people can enjoy the full story.

I have slightly mixed opinions about this game. The scenes are absolutely beautiful, and the game is fun to play. I've read some reviews complaining about the puzzles being too easy; it is easy to rush through the level, but if you want to find all of the notes, the ways of finding them are often distressingly ridiculous, sometimes with no signal that you're doing it right. However, I'm still intrigued by the story and can't wait to play the other two games.

Very beautiful and absorbing graphics, sound, and music. As a puzzler, it leaves a bit to be desired as the puzzles are quite easy - sometimes infuriatingly so. But it's still enjoyable. Would be a 5-star game if it offered bigger challenges for serious puzzle fans.

The Soundtrack is so amazing. I can jus start the game with my headphones on and sleep peacefully because of the very soundtrack. The art is marvellous and the concept is wonderful. Its a highly recommended game from my side.

The 3rd in the trio series. Most of these levels are more interesting and better than the previous two parts. However, after you've paid, the last few levels loose that same interest and become a bit easier too. Excellent game though and I loved playing some of the levels.

Sar. R. Feb 3, 2022

Basic animation and movements. Really relaxing puzzles that make sense. Hints are available for those ones that don't quite make sense. The later in levels can be a bit of a mind workout. And thankful there is a few episodes. I'm addicted.

I finished the game in a maybe an hour, but that's just me, I like puzzle games. The puzzles weren't hard they were just tricky. After you finish the free version it like 2 dollars to buy the full game. But I think the free version was fun, it wasn't just puzzles there also was a story. If the puzzles in the paid version are harder I'll play it.

Sta. M. Oct 22, 2019

Very annoyed. I've played the previous two games and have been happy to pay for all levels and no adds. So starting the 3rd game I immediately went to pay for the levels, but says error already have this, but I keep seeing adds!!! Please sort.

Mac. J. Jul 25, 2021

Played the first three games in the series. Entertaining enough, but could definitely have been more challenging. Biggest drawback is lack of consistently increasing difficulty + some parts are more walkthrough with levers etc rather than puzzles. Nice design though.

Brilliant game! One of my favorite games on the desktop was The Witness because of the way it brought together beautiful graphics, compelling story, and challenging puzzles and I'm blown away that the Faraway series has been able to do the same thing on mobile. I especially love that it's a premium game instead of microtransaction hell. Really well done A++

this is a generally good, enjoyable puzzle game. it allows one to learn a particular strategy and then use that strategy. The only reason I gave it 4 rather than 5 is that the game often makes you think so far "out of the box" with no inkling of what to try that I have used hints. Confession: perhaps I am a little impatient with my downtime entertainment? I like it and am on the third episode now!!

Dan. O. Oct 7, 2018

A well put together game. But almost pointlessly easy. There is zero challenge. May as well just have a box in the middle of the screen that says tap me to complete level. Which is actually pretty my what they do! Maybe its for very young children or something...

Mau. W. Apr 9, 2019

fine until end of level 14. part needed to get to next level does not appear, so cannot continue. Have restarted level and rebooted tablet. annoying after paying for full game. Have emailed developers. waiting for reply. My bad. the game was not at fault. I missed picking up the part I needed in the previous puzzle. Kudos to the developers they returned my email quickly. Now onto some more faraway games. thank you.

Thi. R. Jan 20, 2020

Interesting graphics with nice music adding some mystery. However I did not find it challenging. I think that more challenging puzzles would help. And the price for the full game in my opinion is too high.
