Super chill with satisfying puzzles. Some of the motion controls are wonky, though. Rotating something clockwise, for example, can be a real challenge sometimes. Usually if you just flail away you'll get the object to rotate how you want it to eventually. Even so, I love this series!
The game is splendid, it has great music, it's mechanics are simple and easy to understand, the color scheme and the designs are gorgeous beyond belief. All these factors work together to create an addictive atmosphere which players can enjoy whilst solving puzzles to advance the story. And Yes, im pretty sure theres a story going on, an activity for avid fans. The puzzles are simple yet enjoyable. The catch is that the game is rather short. Full game is 18 levels, and you can beat 7 in an hour.
Never been a fan of mobile games (or games in general) as I find most of them boring for my tastes. This game might change my mind. I have played a few levels so far, but the visuals are great, the concept is very imaginative and imersive. The words in the little cards are so beautiful, I made a habit of smashing every possible vase in hopes of finding the next card. Difficulty level is enough to make it a pleasingly frustrated puzzle. If I had a policy of paying for games, I would for this one.
I have played all the other games so far! (Demo's of course cause I'm a broke College kid. 😂) And I have to say I am obssessed with the story line. Every game has been fun and challenging and there is at least one level where I get completely stuck. 😂 My favorite is the Jungle Escape being that it introduced a new character that wasn't the author of the notes. (Steps) I can't wait to play this one and will edit this when I finish. Edit: Wow! I am once again amazed! Wish I could say more! 😆
The game is simple, filled with puzzles that aren't too hard to solve, which makes it an ideal game to play when you need a quick break. If it weren't for the ads that are somehow able to play at full volume despite trying to mute it and setting all volume settings to 0, I would probably give a 5 stars.
Another Faraway game with beautiful, relaxing scenery and brilliant puzzles. I found all of the notes, and I'm still intrigued by the mysteries, but a few things, like the plot, left me very confused. This includes the level that's unlocked after collecting all three leaves; I didn't see any point in it, unless it was to unlock the final level 0. I also don't know what the notes are implying with the people of Faraway; who and what are they? Still, I'm interested enough to play the next game.
It's got a nice flow and cool puzzles so far (though I'm just starting). The view is quite constricted which can be a little frustrating (there are some places you can't turn the camera at all). I can understand why it was done from a programming point of view but personally I find it a little frustrating :) hence 4 stars, not 5
Great graphics with calming poetic structures making the experience of actually being among the builders of these ancient ruins. All in all, a simple control system to solve easy to more difficult puzzles. Some structures are so alien. Rooms turning upside down. Buildings rising out of nowhere, enabling new interests. Great admiration, to the crew, for a well done job, in the making of Faraway games. Thank You. It all works.
Although I loved the puzzles, it was very hard to distinguish certain colors and textures in the game. If you were color blind it would be very difficult to see certain puzzles. Some secret puzzles were not obvious but I recommend that it would be best to be a bit more clear since some puzzles exhibit the same characteristics. However, it was very good overall.
This is #4 in the series. They may be old games, but they're great to play. Lots of puzzles to figure out. The tougher parts are finding the 3 notes in each level.
Puzzles too easy. The notes could have used some jokes. They got manic and heavy-handed at the end. If you are the only character in the game discovering the technology of a long-dead culture, ya got to ease up. How about finding a few of thier skelletons? And why are most mangled ones wearing red shirts?
Great addition to a fine series. Challenging, yet intuitive puzzles become more intricate as you progress. Finding all the Notes can be difficult, but they only add flavor, so you can decide how much effort you want to put into locating every one of them.
Beautifully made, graphics are exquisite. Love the storyline, plus the puzzles = wow! Graceful, elegant, challenging yet thoughtful, all this for the price of a cup of coffee, yes please! Relaxing, even though you're trying to solve increasingly complex puzzles. The hints are wonderful and watching an ad isn't intrusive unlike other games. If you don't use the hints you can complete the free part without any ads. Exactly what I was looking for, intelligence and beauty combined. Thank you, devs.
I've found no challenge, no story and nothing to engage me at all. I was done playing this game only after 2 levels but continue just to give it a try. The game is smooth btw, controls are intuituve (but rarely distractive), graphics are good but pretty boring as the general theme is always the same. There are lots of useless/out of context objects and Ads are freeking distractive
The game isn't bad but I decided to leave it when it went ridiculous. Like the other games it has puzzles that does not make a lot of sense, hints only in their specific order, touching things makes it not work right, and the puzzle that I left that was ridiculously bad I didn't feel like wasting my time for the hint just to still get it wrong because it moves too fast on puzzles that have tons of tiles/stuff
I've played all of this developer's games, and i loved them all. i dont mind paying a few bucks for all levels without ads. At the end of the day, they are working hard to make this game enjoyable, but also make some profit. Great game, amazing graphics, puzzles are not easy, but actually solvable without clues.... enjoy!
I've enjoyed the entire Faraway series. I've paid for most of them and think the price is totally fair for the entertainment value. You can still play through all the levels even if you don't pay, you'll just have to deal with ads between levels or reopening app. Logic puzzles are just hard enough but found overall gameplay to be relaxing and fun. Each level takes an average 10mins or under, perfect for a short break.
Great escape/puzzle game with a very good 3D design and optimization. If you play offline there are no ads. I just don't give 5 stars because it's too simple to solve, many puzzles lack complexity (I didn't need any hint) and the free 9 levels can be completed in just 20 minutes, so I wonder if it's worth to buy it just to play 20 more minutes... Why the hell is the "start at boot" permission enabled by default? Imagine if all apps did that... Fortunately I have LineageOS with Privacy Guard.
The graphics are really mellow, probably great for people who hate harsh graphics. Nothing about the game is obnoxious. The only thing is that it's pretty easy, it pretty much places the puzzles on a platter for you. That's the only bad thing though. I guess it's good for those who find these games harder and are looking for a place to start off with.
It has nice graphics, and the notes are fun to read. But overall the puzzles are way too easy. I've already beaten the game, and it took me less than an hour. No walkthroughs. And the fact you have to pay for the last levels, which it only gives you two pages of 3 levels is just ridiculous.
Very user friendly and easy to maneuver. Puzzles are not that difficult and could probably apply to all ages. Music is soothing and not stressfull
I would have give the game a 5 star if it wasn't for the simple fact that I paid to buy the full game, and I got to play level 10, and then it's asking me to buy full game again and locked the chapters, I restarted the game, I logged out and back in, I restarted the phone... The payment appears in my history and the money withdrawn from my account and I only got to play one level at the end...what is this?
Love this series, great atmosphere, the sound design, music and art style are fantastic. Puzzles are not too difficult that you need to break out pen and paper, but hard enough to make you need to rethink your approach a lot. another great entry to a fantastic series, can't wait for part 5.
It's a great app. I really love the background music. It's perfect. Job well done, music guy👍. I like the scenario of the game, it's pretty cool. The sound effects are pretty awesome too. I like that it keeps the progress, it doesn't delete it so that's great. I would definitely purchase the rest of the levels. It seems a very good app. So soothing. I really like it.
Excellent conclusion to this fantastic series of games. This fourth instalment doesn't fail to delivery to the high standard that the developers have set. Puzzles were imaginative and interesting to do. Had to use a YouTube walkthrough help occasionally, but otherwise great fun to play.
I've been a big fan since the first 'Doors' installment; then was awestruck when I discovered the Faraway series! As I played each, and just when I thought I found a new favorite, the next one just beat the expectations. This one, of course, not only builds on top of the previous ones, it even further raises the bar in every way - especially in terms of artistic landscapes, monuments & scenery, and just all around superb graphics!
