Faraway: Puzzle Escape

Really enjoyed this game, despite how quickly it can be solved. The controls aren't the best, but easy enough to maneuver. The game is pretty easy but still entertaining. The story is simple but intriguing. This game could be excellent with some refinements. I was planning on buying the next levels, but I'm also not sure it's worth the price for the limited play time.

Fun puzzle game with great colors and modeling. However, the constant, incessant popup reminder to use a hint is very annoying. It should be taken away, or an opt in feature. Also, the controls are wack. No easy buttons for walking in a direction, small back button, and inverted swiping on 3D puzzle zoom ins.

I enjoyed playing it. Wish there were more than 11 game's to play. 1-9 then skips to 19-20. Petty easy, great till kill time. So I gave it a 4star. Only because there wasn't enough level's to play and if you do want to play more. You have to pay for it. The ads were short and only play before you started the next game.

Really didnt enjoy my experience. Now, im not someone id consider to be smart, but these puzzles were so incredibly easy it was more just look and place than any actual puzzle involved. I played through multiple levels, and the difficulty felt the same throughout. Also didnt like the controls, but i wouldnt have cared that much if it werent for these mind-numbingly easy puzzles. Really hated this.

The game is very good, not so difficult puzzles. I ended the free levels in about a week playing nicely. But, the game destroyed my battery. The days I played, the phone turned off without warning, it even stop recognize the original charger. I had to use a different and.much more powerful charger to start to recharge. Once I uninstalled, everything got back to normal. Pretty strange I concur, but that's what happened.

Some fun puzzles, occasionally repetitive, and intriguing story. However, I regret paying for the extra levels. £3 for what amounted to maybe half an hour extra play time, and the story wasn't even self contained so you have to install at least 2 other apps and fork out £3 each time for the full game! The total prices are taking the p**s given what you get. Overall, fun to play for a short time but don't waste your money.

It's a fun game. The puzzles get more challenging as you go on. I liked this enough I'm now playing through the entire Faraway series. This is on Play Pass so I don't see the ads. My only criticism is that the Master of Destruction achievement seems to be unattainable. I've gone through the game level-by-level, including the secret level, multiple times. So have family members. No one has gotten Master of Destruction. Too bad there's no way to see how many pots have been missed.

Just an OK game. Not a lot of free movement like other escape games; you can only explore where the items you need are. Makes it easy, but can be annoying when you tap and it auto zooms to what you're supposed to look at. Also it's not free after level 9, which is a shame. For such an easy game, why would I pay to finish the "story"? There are more in-depth, challenging puzzle/escape games with 30-50+ levels all for free.

Nice graphics, the game's main problems are its longevity and difficulty, both very low (I only played the free version but still, I was done in less than an hour). Also, controls are not great, especially when you have to rotate objects. (It's a nice game to get tons of easy exp points through achievements though)

Not quite perfect (would rate it something like 4,5 if I could) but it's the best mobile game I can remember playing. It's a puzzle game that gets harder as you go, the graphics are nice, the puzzles are fun and the music is just wonderful. It does not remind me of a mobile game, but more of an adventure game on x-box or something like that. Would recommend! It's free to download...

I Love these games, that involve solving a variety of unique puzzles to advance further into the game. one thing I would Love, games like these that give you these types of games where it's free, but has in app purchases for maybe 1 or 2 hints. I find it a tease when only part of the game is free but not the whole thing, that's just my opinion. Some people can't afford that, even I can't sometimes.

For a puzzle game, it's very simple so you wouldn't expect much challenge on the levels. The game looks pretty however exploration in the 3d space isn't utilised so it does ruin some of the fun. Overall its like a dumbed down version of the old classic 'Myst' except the puzzles are provided to you in liniar form. Its quick to complete the free levels but I didn't feel I can justify paying for extra levels.

It's ok. Graphics in own style, you can look around sometimes and move back an forth. Puzzles are also quite unique, but also quite straight forward. Some you have to think more. Not super challenging. At some point it gets a bit repetitive. The graphics also. Nice but keeps looking the same. Depends on your own taste whether you like it or not.

The Faraway games are pleasant and relaxing but not very challenging. They are better than the average puzzle/escape game on Google Play but nowhere near the challenge of The Room series or even "The House of Da Vinci". There's a slow ramp up in difficulty which is good at teaching how the puzzles generally work, but even the puzzles are not very hard - if you have both a good memory and a good feeling for topology. The side challenges (finding al the notes) can be fun but many are trivial and some are so stupid (and poorly signalled by the clue) that they are infuriating. Without giving away spoilers, finding the third note depends on you having solved the main puzzle; sometimes the visual clue you then receive is intriguing and satisfying, sometimes it is very simple, sometimes it is infuriatingly obtuse and requires a very stupid sequence of actions that may have to be tried in various random combinations before you succeed. I find it doesn't take too long to complete the main game but 100% completion can offer some extended interest. I would give this a four because the atmosphere is well done even though the puzzles aren't hard. But the sheer inanity of some of the side puzzles has annoyed me.

It was fun but the full game is locked behind a paywall. Finished the demo in just a few short hours. Not all of the puzzles are easily underatandable in terms of directions. For example on puzzle requires you to push buttons in a specific order. It never dawned on me to push them backwards and I was dumbfounded until i watched an ad for a video.

I bought all the levels/no ads deal and it was going great till I started to encounter some bugs in level 8 and can't move forward. The puzzles and hints get kind of confusing. I think this developer's Doors series is a lot better in terms of visuals and content, though this game is longer and more complex. Also the game movement is jolting (I have to close my eyes during the super fast fly walking that seems to be the only way to move forward. Makes me nauseous lol)

What a lovely mysterious puzzle game that I stumbled upon. It was in my wishlist for long. I was mesmerized by the gameplay and pretty cool graphics and controls. Absolutely fantastic. Passed the free levels in under an hour. The next few levels are available on purchase. I guess, I have to move on to the next faraway puzzle segment and maybe try out the free ones. Seems I have to purchase the last few levels (probably interesting ones!) on all the faraway puzzles from the franchise. But great work though. Lovely graphics, controls and mind-scratching puzzles. Truly addictive. Looking forward to the next ones.

I really enjoyed playing this game. It was easy to learn how to play. The graphics aren't that bad. It's what I'd expect from a free game. The ads are somewhat annoying. Two ads before I get into the actual level, and after each level is a bit much. The story is good, given to you as you collect scattered notes throughout each level. The puzzles seem to get more intricate as you progress, but start easy. Overall I think this game is worth a shot if your looking for a good puzzle game.

Loved the experience, but had some difficulty. While some puzzles were ridiculously easy to the point I solved them while testing to see how they worked, in other I would break my head trying to understand and had to use hints (solved the issue, but sometimes the answer made zero sense to me). All in all, good game, nice art style, mostly relaxing puzzles, really liked it. And please, add an option to skip stair animation because it makes me really dizzy.

The first 7 levels were on the easy side but it seemed like a decent escape game, a little sticky on the controls here and there. Then came level 8 after and I became hopelessly stuck. After a good hour or so (I'm stubborn) I finally consulted a walkthough and realized the problem was actually a glitch. No matter what I did I could not get a lever required to complete the level, after I restarted the level three times trying to avoid the error but simply could not.

I play a lot of puzzle games, but this may be one of the best games I have ever played. It is very well made. It also gets difficult, you can always watch a short ad for a hint. The hint even only applies to what you are on, not forcing you to watch ad after ad to get what you need, which is very common with free puzzle apps. Other than that, the adds are not intrusive, and you can skip them. Both the game and the ads are very fair, especially considering it's a free game! I love it, and I plan to play all of these games.

Overall pretty good. You can do 11 of 20 puzzles without buying anything but you must watch a lot of ads. To access the bonus free puzzles (19 & 20) you have to have found all three notes for each of levels 1-9. The notes are stupid. They have no meaning and some of them can only be accessed by doing something of combination of things that you'd never guess. I had to watch walkthroughs on youtube to get some of the notes. I'd do away with the notes. Good game but don't plan to buy more.

Supposed to get 9 levels for free but it stops after getting the 2nd door open level 9. The door opens and then the game waits a second and then shoves you back into the main temple and closes the door again.. but you need to be in that section to manipulate the next puzzle so it's an actual lock out of the game. Despite updating the game to make sure it's not a clutch that was corrected, no joy! So you get 8 levels for free plus two half levels as you get to half solve/quick solve level 19..

Boring puzzles, bad ui, condescendingly gives free hints just before you finish a puzzle if you're too slow. It seems like there's a story that you have to play easter egg hunt to find but the story isn't interesting and you have to watch an ad after every level so it's not worth it to me. It has better graphics than most other mobile games, and isn't a clone of another game, so it earns 3 stars.

bug in level 9? with the tower of buttons and 2 levers. sometimes the levers don't move the tower, so you can't press the proper buttons. some of the puzzles could be better too, but I can't blame the dev for shipping over perfection. some of the note finding is like a pixel hunt, bad. clever use of the glowing door keys to unlock secrets.

(Mobile) Controls Difficulty Hi, this game looks really great but the controls were so impossible using my Galaxy that I gave up like half an hour in to playing. It was like I couldn't steer reliably, or with much flexibility, and so I had to try over and over just to walk past a pole. If it gets changed and improved I would try again. Very pretty and intriguing visually. Chantelle
