Not sure why I downloaded this as I haven't liked any of the Faraway games. Probably because the game pass editors keep pushing it on me. Not a "bad" game but not good. Puzzles are basicaly move a slider to the left or right and your done. The only time they get even close to difficult is when theres no clear indication on how they work, like how preasing one button affects the puzzle. Often times the answer is just think like a child and do it. Might be a good game for a smart 5 yr old.
I'm a convert. I didn't bother with the story, and found the puzzles simple, fun and well designed but not worth paying for the second half of each episode. But then I looked at some of the walkthroughs, stopped ignoring the patterns on the portal tiles, and now I get it! I'll go back and start with the first in the series; it is worth being thorough after all. BUT when I tap on Buy, I hear the clink of coins and nothing else happens. I can't buy in-game! Help? You'll get the 5th star then.
I have the paid version, and think it's a reasonable price. But I've finally gotten stuck on a level 15 puzzle and cannot see any logic in how to play it whatsoever. Sure, I can watch a video and memorize how to get past it, but that's not why I'm playing the game. It's very frustrating. UPDATE: Finished the game and overall still found a lot of the puzzles to feel arbitrary and random rather than enjoyable. Disappointing after all the hype.
Is just a bit different in puzzles from previous releases to be enjoyable. Why you have to break things to get notes that appear to have little relevance is the most puzzling aspect. Can be played offline. Suitable for all ages. Not sure it is worth the price tag for the extra 9 levels.
I mean, this is fairly simple and doesn't involve a storyline like I'd prefer, but it's relaxing and free and doesn't have glitches. And it's definitely less mind-numbing than pure hidden-object adventures. I recommend it for some pleasant puzzle adventuring in a sunny, happy environment with uplifting music...something we all could use while hunkering down during this pandemic!
Notes in all these games are difficult to find in the available free first 9 levels. This game allows you to complete all 9 free levels and does make you think, some.. It's a well designed game and difficulty increases with level, but not too much. No glitches that I could see. Well done.
Great game! Both challenging with its puzzles, relaxing with its low key gameplay and atmospheric music. A great one for Pattern Recognition in a variety of modes. I've played all the Faraway titles, and will readily grab the next one as soon as it becomes available.
Great game, well worth the price. Nice music, original and pleasing graphics, and the puzzles are fun and not too challenging. All of the Faraway games are just great. Ignore the people who cry because it's not free. The best games aren't free, that's the way of the world and it has been for some time (and will continue as such). The price is fair. I've paid for worse things, this game makes me happy!
As fun as the Faraway titles before it. However, there is a puzzle glitch in level 17 where some wheels will start spinning on their own and can't be stopped, which forced me to have to restart the level because it made the puzzle unsolvable.
I really enjoyed all of the games in this series so far and this one did not disappoint. My only complaint (it's more of a nitpick really), is that I sort of wish the in-game hint system showed you where all of the notes were. But overall, I'd say it was another great game in a series that only seems to get better with each game. Thank you Snapbreak for another excellent Faraway game. I'll be playing the most recent one, Galactic Escape, soon.
Very clever puzzles, i love this game V much, although lately the video hints keep looping and i can't stop it doing so and the video locks up my phone hence i have to reboot my phone, also the game wont save where i left off after this happens. Any help developers? Update Im still waiting to hear from you people. I m dusgusted that nobody has responded to my review complaint, the game still freezes my phone when i try a video clue and am always rebooting. How about a reply for a change.
Got to the ninth level, purchased the game and I can't advance. Did I miss something. When you pay.... you play or are the tenth levels on up not available if so I'd like my money back please. Fun game better if I could finish playing, I got the 10th level but are you only giving one level at a time, because 11th and 12th are not available. That's just weird I think I'm Uninstalled
I stumbled upon the Faraway series of games while searching for a certain special something I could not quite define. I wanted to populate my leisure time with unstressed adventures, interesting scenery, and puzzles that that challenge but don't frustrate me. I almost passed on installing Faraway: Galactic Escape, but I was feeling saucy and dangerous and clicked Install. I was hooked and thrilled to find there is a whole series of Faraway: Escape games. And yes I bought/binged them all!
I gave a two star rating because only the first 9 levels are free and the others , we need to purchase them (260 rupees). I have also completed all the 9 levels in just one and half hour. I liked the game so much but it got completed so fast and even if I pay for the remaining 9 levels then it would just take three hours. Now what should I do? Even I have checked the other apps of yours but all of them are of the same kind (i.e. need to purchase the other 9 levels.) It isn't a reasonable price.
So far so good. Some might too easy but Im just starting out. Maybe itll increase in difficulty. Its unique in the sense that it has the puzzle/room escape vibe but ur always pushed forward with back 2 back puzzles that r ez 2 solve rather than a room jammed with puzzles or a huge world where u dont even know where 2 find the next puzzle and the puzzles are so hard that the overall meaning is completely forgotten! Tropic Escape always propels u forward after each puzzle at a comfortable speed.
I have definitely gave this game a fair shot. Despite the bad reviews. I played it until it tells me I must pay to play any further. I found the game in the time I played it not worth the time or effort to play it. Not very interesting and the ads or off the chain. You spend 5 minutes watching ads and 30 seconds playing the game before you must watch another ad. All the while you're asking for money to take out the ads just to find out after a certain amount of levels you have to pay anyway.NO
Everything is ruined by far too many ads. You start up the game and there are ads, then you play the first level which takes like 10 seconds to finish and there is a long ad you have to watch. At least wait until someone gets to understand what the game is about before putting ads all over. I dont recommend this game!
Enjoyed this latest edition of the Faraway Escape series. Not as challenging as some of the previous chapters, but good gaming nevertheless. Finding all the notes is a great bonas to the game and again like to bright, cartoony style of the graphics. Looking forward to see if there's another one coming....
Just finished level 11. Graphics are fluent and with just the right amount of simplicity/details. Music and sound effects are atmospheric. Puzzles are varied and at the right level.
As the other games of this series, nice 3D graphics and an enormous amount of unique puzzles. Well made hints. But finding all notes on every level is really challenging, wish there were hints for this.
Some of the puzzles are extremely esoteric, and others seem to jump around in difficulty wildly. Decent puzzle game, but I had to resort to walkthroughs at parts especially for some of the secret stuff.
It's a amazing game easy puzzles and very good graphics but my only problem is that you can only play like 10 levels and then done that's it, I would honestly love to see it all be free.
The puzzles are getting easier and the notes harder to find. Some of the hints for the notes are just impossible or wrong, or the game is buggy causing you to have to spam a switch before the not unlocks.
Enjoyable game, nice graphics, mostly pretty straightforward puzzles with the option of using hints. However, absolutely not going to pay £4.59 for 9 extra levels. Ridiculous price. If that was for the collection of games I would be happy to pay but definitely not worth it for just the 1 game. Have completed all the free levels in full series in a day
