The interface on this game is great, super easy to use. However, several scoring bugs. Some scoring combos that should be high value result in zero, or just not recognized at all. Other reviews have acurately captured several of the scoring bugs. Makes play very frustrating. If these bugs were fixed it would be the perfect game...
Honestly this is a great app with 0 ads, and you get the option to adjust the rules to your liking. Very well done! A bug we found multiple times is that if you get a 4 of a kind in any number and then another 1 or 5 it doesn't always let you select all the numbers to 4oll again even if you can select all 6. Some suggestions: I've emailed along some ideas 😁.
Good graphics, good game flow, but... Scoring is screwed up. 4 of a kind some times returns 1000 but if you add another scoring card the score changes to zero. Scores sometimes just get skipped. Seems like no or very little quality management and testing. Cannot recommend this. Even with these foul errors it's a better looking version of Farkle than anything else available on the play store. It's just very frustrating to get screwed on the scoring.
The game us well designed. Except when you are playing against the computer. Then if you get too far ahead. You'll start getting low rolls or busts until the game catches up. Not every time. But often enough to see a pattern..I just got tired of it being "programmed " and Uninstalled
So sorry but I had to change my review from "Fun, fun, fun and works great!" To this: something has changed and the computer wins all the time now when I play against it. Really? I haven't kept any statistics but 8000+ after 4 rolls is a bit beyond statistical probability - especially when it wins 3 games in a row like that. Everything else is great and helps us pass the time then waiting to see the doctor or waiting to get our dinner. Please work on your AI algorithm cuz fun it ain't!
I LOVE the lack of permissions needed. The gameplay is fast, and very customizable towards your familiar variation. If the sound volume was dimmable instead of toggled, the experience would be next to perfect. The computer isn't smart enough to hold off on excess, cheap point grabs for potential larger gains, so I just play both. Also, when I roll something like four 3s and two 5s, the points would be counted as three pairs instead of a four-of-a-kind and change.
It's fun to play! That said, after you've played about 10 rounds, you start noticing the lean towards the computer for winning, then it starts getting ridiculous - it's too big of a lean!! It'll give you one here and there, but rarely compared to the computer winning. The computer never seems to bust!! Haha! EDIT: CHANGED RATING TO 5 STARS - THE GAME HAS EVENED OUT IN TERMS OF ME WINNING/COMPUTER WINNING. THANKS!
One of the easiest and most entertaining games I've played. If you're not familiar with the rules of the game, no problem - the developers have built a detailed help with comprehensive images directly into the application. Recommend to read it. Special thanks for the complete absence advertising. Given that the application is also free - I recommend installing it right now and guarantee that the next few days it will be difficult to distract you from the game. Also "Difficulty of Android Player" do set to "Medium" for starters. As I found out after reading the reviews, some people were giving the app a low rating because they supposedly can't win - I won't comment, I'll say with sorrow - there are a lot of strange people on earth. The game is a shining example of a very good and entertaining application, small in size, undemanding to resources and not wasting battery power. P.S. I found one minor bug. In the upper left corner of the inscription "Dice Score:" when displaying the number of points doubles the colon and looks like "Dice Score::". Developers need to fix in strings.xml stCurrentScore from'Dice Score:' to 'Dice Score' - string without colons. No need to thank me ;)
The game continually freezes in the middle of a game with two humans playing. It will also just flip the screen when it shouldn't. Other than those items we love the game and the fast scoring. I will change my rating from a 3 to a 5 if they can get the freezing in the middle of a game to stop.
After repeated tests, determined that only player 1 can win unless player 1 throws the game intentionally. 20 games played between 2 people, switching sides each time. Every game, player 1 wins. Player 1 had double the chances of runs and 3 pair or other high rolls, consistently defeating player 2 by extremely wide margins. I don't know code. But something is wrong with it. Maybe you should take it seriously. To overstate the obvious, switching sides does indeed mean turning the device.
This app is decent EXCEPT for the fact that it's not really random. I checked out their "open source" coding and found that the way the program is written is indeed not totally random. They'd obviously tried but the way they've written a few subroutines, more than random chance takes over and that's why the computer or player never have massive gaps of more than a few thousand points.
Easy to use, with multiple scoring mod options. I find myself playing this game while killing time waiting for appointments, as well as chilling with friends, passing the phone around.
Its frustrating when you roll 4 or 5 of a kind n also have a five or one, you can't click on them to get more points. When playing with android it is able to do it.
It's a fun game but if you are playing against the android, my experience has been pretty one sided in favor of the app . 6 dice and the app or android, in my case, gets 4 maybe 5 rolls without a farkle and human player ,that's me , I farkle after 1 roll with 5 dice left unplayed. This isn't realistic or even fun when this happens and it occures frequently. Might just find a different app.
I'll give it a three because it let's you choose some of the settings. However, it farkles way too often. I tested it against actual dice and it is off by about 15-20%.
Wonderful how the screen spins to the other player, so no need to spin the phone around when it's your opponents turn. Fast playing turns. Dice options to.
It is a lot of fun and even if the robot always plays the same you can shake up the game by changing your play. The game doesn't take turns, like you win then robot wins, etc.
I love the app and all the scoring options you can choose from. BUT I really want the app designer to fix the double colons after "Dice Score"!
Wasn't the particular version of Farkle I had actually gone looking for, and some time later I was forced to accept that the one I wanted was simply not available on the Google Play Store at all anymore... A more stable-minded person might have simply settled with the next-best version that WAS available, but I am most assuredly NOT stable-minded (not even a little, in fact), so I opted instead to uninstall all four versions I'd tried downloading already, and simply continue life Farkle-free.
Fun, but seems rigged. The game almost forces you to end up with a certain total in a turn, no matter your choices. Also, I noticed that sometimes the total amount on the dice is subtracted rather than added to my score.
Good interface but a few glitches. If you go negative, it won't let you score again unless you score enough to go positive. Really annoying when you're at -1000. Also it won't let you select all your points if you get a 4 of a kind.
When playing the computer, the computer will always roll the highest scores. while player 2 struggles with 1's and 5's at a trickle. Even if you plan 2 player, the player who plays 2nd wkll always get the highest in each roll as if it were the computer. FRUSTRATING!!!!!
I think you should be able to play friends ONLINE! I also think should be able to change color of dice. I don't like that it forces you to keep rolling at the "last chance" roll. You should be able to stop when you want. should be a "high score" tracker. but, it's a fun game.
Good no frills or junk version of the game. It dosn't use a lot of space on my cell so i like that. It is strange that after pushing the quit button and it looks like the game is off its only minnamised, so you have to also x out of the quit/play again window to totaly get out of the game. Strange. So 3 to 4 stars is my opinion.
Love this very addictive game! Suggestions... How about a running total of games won/lost? Maybe a "do over" option for when you hit the wrong button? Would like a replay button to review the last set of moves.
The thing I like best is there are no annoying ads... NONE. Fun diversion. I like the various choices to customize the game. The only thing i dislike is the pitifully weak AI . even set to the hardest level, it plays a lame-A$$ game. It never changes, always stopplng at 300, no matter what the score is. So... This a game best suited for two or more human players.
