This was a fantastic app. Seems like it finally broke, it's been 4 years since this was last on Google play...
Used to be perfect, but now the Dilbert plug-in has stopped working. Uninstalled.
Dilbert doesn't work anymore since this week. A pity; this has been the first app I used every morning for years...
No use to me now the Dilbert plugin doesn't work. Don't think this app is supported any more?
The last Dilbert is downloaded was on 1-26-16. Not sure if it is the app or the Dilbert feed. Selection of comics from plugin store is not greatest, used to have Dilbert and Garfield but they no longer show up. Update: After update Dilbert now working 01-31-16, unlike some apps developer is responsive
Not nearly as good as Simple Dilbert used to be. Seems buggy - won't open, freezes up at random, certain dates won't display. Still best way to get my daily Dilbert fix for now. ****Downgrade to 2 stars. Just hit back button to go back to it and nothing displays. Hopefully someone will improve it.
It works great, but some of the better companion apps for the comics are disappearing from the store, so be sure to back them up. I also wish it had more retry and caching settings for bad connections, but even with the above caveats, this is a great app.
Not as good as Simple Dilbert I had on my last phone but has now disappeared off play store. The white renders as grey which makes the images and speech bubbles poor. Have tried uninstalling but same problem persists.
Nicely done. Good features, it does exactly what it's meant to do and does it well. I ran into a dozen or so Garfields that crashed this app, some time about cartoon dates Sep 2010. If you get this and can't restart without insta-crashing just go to Android Settings/Apps/FCR and clear its data. Then avoid the troublesome dates, obviously. Otherwise no probs ever. HTC One Mini, Android 4.3ish
Only problem I have is that when you switch comics is resets you're "oldest unread" setting. Would be nice to be able to keep up with multiple comics and not lost my place when reading through archives.
No alt text on xkcd, and crashes on startup,c requiring a reload every time. Always loads second time though, weird
The only change needed is to be able to swipe when vertical to see it box by box. Then I wouldn't have to have my phone horizontal to see it.
It would be nice if you could force a reload of a comic as it sometimes loads an old one for a given date. I guess it's because it have problems with tomezones.
Had this app on my old phone and it was my favorite. Installed it in my new phone today and when i did the "fcr comic" search, there was a very limited selection. Dilbert was the only other one i wouldst have downloaded from the selection. However, no Garfield is a deal-breaker for me...
I used the app for Dilbert but some days' comics get duplicated to the next day so you miss some days. Long standing bug.
It works great with the plugins I've found, but I can't find one for Dilbert, even though others have mentioned it working. Has that plugin been taken down until it works with their revamped website?
Fast Dilbert Reader was an awesome app with brilliant UX/UI. This new app may work for some, but is now largely bloated with much less smooth interface. Will probably try to rewrite FDR myself for my own use instead.
Was great but now won't load any comics, even after reinstalling several times. . Update, issue is now fixed, fantastic, flexible viewer! Update again, lost dilbert and garfield, or at least i dont see them any longer, waste of space app without those1
Hard to find a Dilbert app that ran on my Tab 4. This is nice, one gripe, I do not like the auto-downloading to my device. I prefer to choose what to download.
One of the best comic readers died in July 2017. After working without updates for years FCR has now passed. I would have paid royalties to the comic writers if they had asked through the plugins I was using until they were forced to be removed
