Having used this for a long time, I eventually went Pro as I felt the developers deserve the money :) I can now export in JPEG as well as PDF. A really useful app. Using it to preserve and share family photo albums. Good quality results, but you need to set up a simple stand for continuity of settings during a long 'shoot'. I used an open cardboard box on its side with a hole for the phone's camera cut into the topside, then the open side facing the (indirect) light. Worked a treat.
This is not desirable. I've bought the pro version considering some work this month. After scanning a 72 page document, I'm unable to convert it into pdf. I can not even share the pages through any of the sharing apps. In each try, FastScanner pro is crashing. Even I've tried to copy the images through data cable into my computer. Explorer is not showing anything scanned. I've shared the event log to the developers but they didn't bother to fix it. I think this app is a waste of money and time.
I've had a few of these scanner apps, but this one has to be the best. Simple to use with consistently good results and export options. Thank you.

PLEASE HELP! I bought the pro version because of the auto upload to google drive. It has worked well running a small business. Documents scanned in the field could be pulled up in the office seamlessly. However, the auto upload has not worked for the last three months, and now it is no different than the free version. Edit: Auto upload has been fixed. Thank you for your responsiveness. Revised rating from 2 stars to 5 stars. Love this app!

It works great, like a real scanner. Worth the $. Lol ppl complaining about ads and clouds they can't use, keep it simple! For a few bucks? Go and buy a real scanner machine if you need it to do that much even thought this app is as good! Ads are necessary to keep it going... It is just a one time pay and it's worth it! ... STOP COMPLAINING!
I really like the app until my files didn't move over into my new phone. After I backed them up and restored them from the cloud, everything didn't move over. The earlier documents I scanned earlier into a file wasn't in there after being moved over.
Fast scanner is an app used to scan items. Documents and then send them electronically where they need to go at the time. Also saves the docs. You can do a single doc or multiple. My only issue is that I bought fast scanner pro so I could scan and send multiple docs in 1 enail, but needed to repurchase when my phone broke and needed a new phone. Had to spend again. That is just wrong and the reason for not giving 5 stars.
An extremely useful app. I had the free version for a very long time and was so impressed, I got the pro version and have had it for a few years. Def recommend the app. Not sure about the latest android update backup issues if phone is reset, but a quick backup to a memory device/ computer is a go around.
Good app. Would like it better if it could remember the choice I always use for exporting (Gmail) instead of having to scroll down the app list each & every time. Love that it is so easy to add passwords to pdf file prior to exporting.
Works great on documents. Works just as good as faxing over a document but easier.
I have been using pro version for past few years. This has become the most used app in my phone. So versatile and precise every single time. I can tell that developers have used a lot of common sense into it. I wish I could give it 10 stars. No scanning app that I have tried even comes close. Great job.
The app works great and I no longer need an extra scanner at home. The auto upload function is a very nice feature, but this function would be even nicer if you had the possibility to upload to nextcloud or owncloud based systems. That would be my most urgent wish for the next update.
Worth every penny! I had this for years and there's not other app in the store that works as perfectly as this scanner. I can literally scan all my ID cards, Insurance cards, imp documents and share, store (within the app). It's so reliable, easy to use. I love being organized and this app helps me with that so much. I can't say enough good things about it!
Great app, but I had to knock off one star because they made me pay twice for the Pro version. I bought a few years ago and was very happy until my cloud sync stopped working. I found out that I needed to buy the pro version again even though my current version clearly showed I was a Pro user already. I wrote to the publisher but got no response. It's not about the money - I just don't think it's a good way to treat your customers.
A nearly perfect solution for going paperless and automatically backing up to cloud services. I do wish it sync'd a little faster and smoother but it's not bothersome. I've been spreading the word about this app.
FastScanner has been easy to use with high quality for years now. I use it for personal and professional documents, it's quick and saves sooo much time, energy, and completely eliminates the frustration of saving and sending important docs.
I don't understand these positive 5 * reviews here. The app is not good. The calibration of the texts and logos, e.g. for letters, is bad (this has nothing to do with the smartphone camera, because it works perfectly with other Scan apps). I prefer to pay more and get much better quality. I canceled the purchase after 30 minutes of testing and immediately received my refund from Google.
I paid for PRO version. I maid regular backup of all my scanned documents during last few years, several times And than, I changed the phone. I tried to restore my backup. BUT....there is... Only empty pages. The priper name of document(s) with EMPTY PAGES only. Empty pages only. I wrotte to FAST SCANNER support almost a year ago, and I didn't receive ANY answer So, if I can not restore my documents from backup so that I can have them on my new phone, than ZERO STARS for FAST SCANNER PRO.
Upgraded to PRO after a year of the free version. Love it so much that I felt bad using the free version! PRO is definitely easier to use than the free version and I'd recommend for anyone who needs a scanner on their phone.
HELP!!! I had to get a new phone and have many folders and about 100 scans. Is there a way to transfer the folders and all to the new phone?? I have my data backed up on google drive but it will only back each individual scan as a pdf and not in the folders that I made on the app. If I have to make new folders on my new phone and organize them again it would take all day.
Excellent App after trying many others. This is really a premium application. I did Upgrade to Android 11 OS on a OnePlus 7 phone and found camera focus issues, sent an email to developers, immediate reply. Easy solution, just a change in camera choice in settings. Works perfectly again.
Best free product out there and keeps everything on your local device and nothing in their private cloud. And if you need it you can buy it the addin for Google Drive auto upload. I used it for years for free and I was able to send myself PDFs.
I have used the Fast Scanner app for a long time now, across several devices, and it has always worked well for me. I used to use it with my job for scanning in paperwork for the office before I retired. And now I use it for saving manuals and brochures for things that I have purchased or am considering purchasing.
Excellent.. Have used it all for many years. Well done fast scanner. One small point... I backed up an android using Samsung Smart switch... it does not save fast scanner files (by default anyway)
