I travel between Reading and Paddington and there are varying speeds of train, stopping or direct services. What this app is missing is a way to filter by direct only or to show the arrival time in the list of the results. Without that it really limits it's ease of use as I have to open the search results individually to find out which ones are direct. There would be space in the UI if you reduced the padding between the platform and the time until departure.
One thing that could be better: Reverse the current list of favourites! The oldest ones (aka most used) should appear at the top and new ones should be added at the bottom. This issue is made worse by the fact that my old (aka frequently used) favourites are now off the bottom of the screen so I have to scroll for them - annoying! UX engineers make a fuss to the devs, this is not right! (And should be really easy to fix) Anyway, this is a great app, I highly recommend it.
Very good app which I use a lot for work. Very handy when I arrive at a station and quickly need to work out which train to get. Taken one star off because I've just got a new phone and discovered that it's not possible to save the long lost of favourite stations that I'd built up.
Pretty good but needs dark mode support. What would also be great is to save screen space in the Favourites by not having to define X-Y and Y-X separately, instead just having X-Y and an adjacent button to display Y-X trains.
Perfect for the regular commuter. Lets you save your regular journeys really easily. One enhancement I'd like to see is number of carriages and whether the train has first class at the front or rear, just to make it easier to know where to pick the right spot on the platform to get a seat on badly overcrowded lines.
Excellent app! Only thing I would change is add the option to save favourite routes. For example, "departures from Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Picadilly". Not a big deal, but certainly would be appreciated at busy stations in bad weather!
Excellent lightweight live train app. So much better than the dreadful national rail alternative! The only thing that would improve it would be to have the option of looking at earlier trains that have departed the station.
This is a really excellent app for getting live train arrival and departure information, without any of the massively frustrating clunky UI problems that the National Rail app has. I use this app a lot and am very pleased to have found it.
Completely broken. I have been using this app for years and I have recommended it to many people. For some reason recently it stopped updating. A terrible shame as it was the easiest train app to use !! Please fix it.
To the creator - I work in the railway and this app is brilliant, nice and quick and extremely reliable. Would it be possible to add the length of the trains please? That would help a lot. Great app 👍👍
Was my favourite train times app but recently stopped showing the platform number which was the one key usp, so now not nearly so useful. Would be much improved if you could also sort by actual due time not left in timetable order.
Great app does everything it needs to and just a few little extras. Would be 5* if the favourite stations list was ordered (by departure, destination)
Doesn't allow you to focus in on a particular route or service. It's no different than going to the station and scanning the departure boards. Baffling.
Pretty good at doing the basics. It would be good to have the option to see trains that have recently departed from a station as well as the ones that are yet to arrive.
Simple and quick, shows departures & arrivals 2 hours from the current time. Suggest 2 improvements: 1) Show current time with scheduled & expected times 2) Allow user to specify where the favourites data is stored to facilitate backup and restore should the need arise.
Better than National Rail's effort, why doesn't that surprise me? No irritating ads to distract from SWR et al's inevitable delays/cancellations, and a guide to just how unreliable the route is based on past performance.
Still working for me. One of the easiest and straightforward train apps. Never had any problems with it up to now. Don't know whether it will updated again though.
Excellent app. Only does a little but does it very well. Find out if your connection is running late what platform it will be on etc.
Great app. Would love a platform notification alarm (vibrate and sound) so i dont have to keep staring at my phone waiting for the platform number to appear.
Unfussy. Clear. Doesn't force you to register or Sign In With FacewretchedBook or anything else. V user-friendly. Use it a lot and like it a lot.
This App is great. But only problem is with Inverness To wick and thurso why does the train where it shows you is a 170 when its not a class 158 No such trains on the Far north line as 170s should be 158s
Excellent for fast status info on your station and route. Easy to set favourite stations and routes for quick lookup.
This would be a fantastic app if i were 4500 miles away, in Scotland, because that's the only place it shows any trains...not helpful for anywhere else.
Clean, easy to use app for checking train times. Really lightweight too - love it!
Excellent app. Plenty of features, without bloat; I particularly like that it indicates whether a train often departs late. The visual design does not adhere to Material guidelines, but is clean, fast, and easy to read, so I have no problem with it. I have not noticed any bugs or jankiness while using the app.
