This app is awesome, and the $0.99 fee is worth it for just getting the toll paid and not getting dinged with a fine when you forget. It missed the fifth star because there's no way to edit the toll list/history, especially if the app misses a toll booth detection; it would be nice to be able to add that in later. Another improvement would be to have camera integration for OCR of the car's plate. Also, maybe integration with the tollway's traffic info? All-in-all still worth getting this app.
this app makes driving through tolls easy as you do not need to stop to physically pay someone at the booths. you are able to use the ipass lanes and the gps clocks each toll with out needing to take your eyes off the road. once through the tolls, you fill out your information and pay the lump sum. it gets a 4 star rating because there is a $.99 processing fee which really isn't a big deal and it's worth the time save.. it's just annoying and I'm petty. *shrug*
Using this app was one of the easiest things we have had to do. We were going to borrow an I pass but forgot it. I googled on the drive to o'hare how to drive through tolls without I pass. This app came up & it was smooth sailing! It shows when you go through a toll, how much it costs etc Got home, slept, woke up & paid tolls with a few entries. 100 times better than stopping & getting money out each time. Actually better than I pass, don't have to use special lane. Smooth sailing!
Great app! We rented a vehicle so this app made it so we didn't have to pay the $11 a day for the toll pass from the rental agency. We watched the app as we went through each toll & saw the prices instantly show up. Easy to pay the fees & had no problem with any of it! They only asked for the necessary information & nothing invasive. Thanks FastToll Illinois! Keep up the good work!
Have visited Chicago for last three years with this app and it worked fine for the first two, so I assumed it worked fine this last October. Just got a violation letter for 6 missed tolls for a total in fines of $120 (for $9.70 worth of tolls). Have no idea why this happened this time. On same day, several tolls would register then it would miss one or two for some reason, so I never suspected I had missed any. This is incredibly frustrating. Nice Christmas present to have to come up with this cash from somewhere.
None of the tolls registered on the way down so we had to figure out how to try to pay them on our trip...then on the way back we stopped through and physically paid the tolls, but then they registered on the app and said that I owed them! I hope I will not have any problems with my card getting charged or late fees on tolls we already paid. I've uninstalled the app. I would have HIGHLY recommended this app if it would've worked right.
This app works when it wants. It has missed numerous tolls. I thought maybe because I have music playing in the phone was the reason but I cleared all apps and plugged phone and still not getting all the tolls.... Plus no update since Jan. 2018? Really come on now let's get with the times..... Great app if it worked! Please fix
I've been using the app for the last 4 months. It works great. The trick is to make sure that your phone is plugged into a working charger. I which I could separate and select which toll payments I want to pay, other than that this is a very useful app.
It missed a toll, then also apparently did not pay my tolls when I paid them. I got a letter three months later from the illinois tollway saying none of my tolls were paid, despite having a record of payment on the app. Where did my $18 go? This is the app sanctioned by the illinois tollway, and yet they are trying to screw me out of more money because their app doesn't work.
Use this app when visiting daughter in Chicago area. 0n recent trip, 6/6 to 6/10, the app recorded the tolls going to Chicago, but did not pick up tolls leaving. Fortunately I was able to manually add the tolls and pay. I have had this issue before but did not report it.
I used to love this app, it always caught every toll but recently it hasn't been and I don't know why. The only thing that has changed is that I use a Pixel 3. I kept my phone plugged in and up on a phone holder as well as my Bluetooth on and app running. I no longer recommend this app to anyone as my trust in it has now cost me $200 in fines.
Supposedly the toll can be paid directly through the Illinois tollwat website with NO additional service charge BUT there is no link nor are there instructions on how to pay through the official website. Instead, the ONLY information given requires payment on the Fast Toll site with a service fee. Probably will delete this useless app after this trip. I'll just get an IPass transponder.
It worked great until it was time to pay the tolls. I had tried 3 different payment options befor the 7 days. I really enjoyed getting the bill from Illinois tollway for $130.00. I don't recommend this app for anyone.

every single time we use it, and pay on time, we still get fines in mail and have to go through hassle of getting a receipt and showing proof back to Illinois tollway that it was paid. you'd be better off just going online and paying than using this app!
Worked well... easy to use. Easy Pay at the end. Email confrimation and all that. I made sure i kept my phone connected to the charger. That's the trick to it working. Awesome App
Infrequent trips through the area (5 or 6 per year) makes a transponder impractical. This app is a perfect fit as long as processing stays reasonable. Just paid 10%. $1.58 on $15.80
It worked as described. I read other reviews about it missing tolls but it did fine going around Chicago. We counted the tolls to double check. It sent me notifications to pay which helped. You definitely need to have the phone plugged in for it to work. It saved us a ton of time and hassle. Somebody saw a need for this app and I'm glad they developed it.
